oppression is eased when you are white, as you get extra privileges, and your whiteness is seen as a positive characteristic that in some ways counter-balances your other forms of being a minority. whiteness controls everything.

you are automatically way more innocent in your own oppression as a gay, trans, disabled person because of your whiteness.

Giving her works any attention in any form ultimately gives her money. Writing fanfiction provides fans with content for her franchise. Pirating/torrenting Harry Potter stuff seems safe because she gets no money from it, but we know that Netflix and other streaming services choose what content gets bought/funded based partially on popularity on the Pirate Bay and similar.

The barest mention of her or any of her works gives her attention and promotes her and thereby earns her money, and she freely admits that she is using it to change UK law to harm trans people and exclude them from public life and remove their human rights and dignity. This harms all trans people in the UK directly in one fell swoop, for decades to come. It gives other powerful transphobes more ammunition to take this further and harm us more.

Do not talk about her, do not consume her creations in any form directly or indirectly (including pirating and fanfic), and if anyone mentions any of her stuff say it is bad and a complete waste of time. Quietly give it bad reviews on every platform when you're passing through. Use social media filters to block mention of her name and any of her franchises, so you can't rage-reblog-rant about it.

Make everything she touches become cursed. Make everything she creates flop such that it has to be quietly cancelled to avoid executive embarrassment.

in 2019 the FDA approved a drug called trikafta (which is really three drugs in one) for cystic fibrosis treatment. what it essentially does is patch up the malfunctioning proteins that cause the extra sticky mucus. trikafta is effective on about 90% of cystic fibrosis patients.

people who had spent their entire lives in and out of hospitals, on and off of ventilators, suffering from pneumonia and sometimes treated through painful procedures like intubation took this drug, got out of bed, coughed up an entire lifetimes worth of mucus out of their lungs over the course of a few hours, breathed clearly for perhaps the first time in their lives, and now go on to live well into their seventies.

My ward is the respiratory ward - CF is one of the things we specialize in.

Since this med came out we haven't had a SINGLE CF admission to the ward

There used to always be a CF patient spending a couple of months with us at a time

There's a man who is 23 years old who I was sure would not survive his next admission (aim saturations 85% is end stage lung disease)

Additionally, it should be noted that metrics like life expectancy are in no way a guarantee of... Anything. There are significant outlier CF patients who are at an advanced age now despite the odds due to a variety of different factors, having lived the majority of their lives before the development of modulators.
