i recently saw a reupload of a hair from this collection i made a few years ago. it was a little gutting to see it behind a paywall that is nearly 4.6x my rent, especially because i made that mesh when i was 15 and the quality is not all that. i don't get into my personal life too much, but i grew up poor. it is important to me that all those kids who get on the computer to escape their situations like me have free access to custom content. i'm too employed and too stressed to start any tumblr drama right now so i'll leave it at that. do not do this please.

Hey!! I've had this idea in my head for ages. s1ndle made an awesome post two years ago where it took colors from The Sims 2 box art and made various pride flags with them. I LOVE this idea and the flags turned out really pretty, I knew I needed that in my game.
These are on a mesh by Syboulette, converted by nonsensical-pixels (check out the rest of the set, it's awesome!). The mesh is 1352 poly, you can find it in wall decorations for §19. It's pretty small so I also made textures smaller, I think they ended up looking beautiful. I hope your sims enjoy these :33 Happy Pride!

I can't believe I've finally made it!!!! I first started working on this overlay in 2024, I tried like three times to create a box, but it wouldn't work. So I settled for replacing a texture I don't use in another box with mine and putting it on my sims. But I've always wanted to upload it, because I think this is a very needed item. After a long fight I finally understood overlays very well and learned how to make them. And I'm so happy that I can upload this box now!
So, what is this? It's an overlay box that contains only one swatch that covers your sim's palms, making them look more realistic on dark-skinned sims. I tried to pick a tone that would be quite universal, it can be used starting with skins around S3 and all the way to the darkest skin tones. The texture is handpainted, I did my best trying to optimize it to look good on the Maxis hand mesh, but there might obviously be imperfections because both the mesh and the texture are quite simple. The texture is unfortunately a bit pixelated; as I've mentioned, I had put it in a different package for personal use at first, and it appears that I don't have the original image file anymore, so I had to pull it out of my game and then back into the game, which... probably didn't help its quality, but it's the best I could do. I think it looks gorgeous, pixelated or not. And if you're not zooming in too closely, it's not even noticeable.
To use this, you just have to place the overlay "box" object on your lot and choose "Add Light Palms" in the pie menu. There is also an option to remove the overlay. The object can be found in Miscellaneous/Dressers for §0. I based it on a mesh made for TS4 by yourdorkbrains and converted to TS2 by trishasimma. It looks like this:

the reactions and conversations i've been seeing on simblr lately have been disgusting and disturbing. i'm coming to the realization that a lot of you guys are wolves in sheep's clothing. the response to black and brown simmers expressing their disappointment in the community they're a part of should never be "you are acting so entitled!"
entitled to what? a realistic experience in a community built upon a game that has always been about personalization and representation? is it seriously too much to ask to have hair cc that represents your own hairstyle in a sandbox life simulator? i'm sorry, but some of you have gotten extremely comfortable letting your racism show.
"i only make the content i want! if you want this kind of content, make it yourself!" you need to ask yourself why you only want to make cc based on eurocentric standards of beauty. why are you so afraid of having the slightest bit of melanin in your game?
i am a white person before i am gay, before i am trans, before i am autistic. some of you guys need to realize this as well. racism is a bonding experience between races and what i've been seeing is blatant and unapologetic racism. my friends have been getting dogpiled and dragged every which way by some very loud and very bold people who i think need to educate themselves. some of yall need to confront your own internalized racism. do not settle for a sub-par experience in a community that needs to do better just because you think it's what you deserve.
rounding this post out, i want you all to know that my page is made for people of any race, gender, sexuality, etc. i do not care what you look like, if you love this game the same way i do i want you to be a part of my page. that being said, racism, transphobia, homophobia, basically any kind of discrimination will not be tolerated. i use my own education, my own discretion, and my own block button to determine who i want on this page. do the same if you have an issue with anything i've said. i do not want you on my fucking page if you think referring to people of color as "you people" is acceptable or adult behavior. you look stupid as fuck.
to be honest with you i was pretty angry when i wrote this but i agree with everything i said. i want to add a few things onto this.
1. white people in this community need to start speaking up and speaking out against racism. it should not only be on people of color to express their disappointment and discomfort in a racist community. if there is a single good bone in your body and you are white, get angry, get loud, get defensive, and use your voice for those who get ridiculed, bullied, and even further harmed by racism when they post about it. do not turn a blind eye anymore. it is not only up to people of color to try to build a healthy community.
2. i want permanent change. we need to start calling these racist people out, we need to start excluding them. do not download or reblog their content, as far as i'm aware these people do not exist. who knows if this will bring real change, but we cannot be powerless and motionless.
3. intersectionality is the core of a great movement. we need to start caring about each other a lot more because individualism kills movements. the aim of the oppressor is to divide and conquer. if we start hating each other because "i don't like gay content" or "i just don't have a lot of people of color in my game" or whatever weak excuse people say noawadays, true change will never come.
i know i sound pretty hopeful about real reform but i think it's possible. i also know that there's some people going "why do you hate white people so much if you're white?" and i want those people to stop and think about what ive said for a moment. i do not hate white people. in fact, hate gets us nowhere. white people, myself included, are taught racism from the systemic structures that form a society and the people that bring us up. it is an unavoidable fact that all people have been racist before or are currently now racist. yes, that one time in elementary school counts. it all counts and it all matters. if people of color are forced to experience racism on the day to day, i think white people can confront the fact that we are the largest perpetuators of racist ideas.
so what do we do now? well, we aren't too far gone and i know that miseducation is a huge factor in racism. start using the resources at your disposal. you can start reading about it, angela davis is an incredibly accomplished author who has some great things to say. if reading isn't your thing, there are some great youtubers who speak on race-related issues. f.d. signifier's videos on black conservatism opened my eyes. foreign fridays/foreign man in a foreign land has some really great videos. they both analyze modern issues through a lens of intersectionality and critical race theory. please also note that just watching these videos is not activism or anything like that. use what you learn to help. get educated, it's free!
finally, my goal is to help. people get a lot less angry at white people for speaking up on these issues which you can tell by the way that my comment section is void of the usual ridicule and insults that people of color get thrown at them. if what im saying is counterproductive, or if i've said something insensitive, it is your right to critique me and my arguments. i want to do better and constructive criticism lets me know where i need to do better.

vermillia poppyseed, the woman in my icon, is an asian woman. i know it's not clear to see in the picture, but she is an asian woman. just because she is light skinned doesn't mean she is white, she has asian features.

Hi everyone!! Since it's Pride month now, I felt that it's about time I release some more Pride cc. So I converted this super cute graphic makeup set from Stonedhilda. All the face paints are layerable with other face paints and makeup. The 2025 Pride Facepaint has swatches with years from 2025 to 2030, I decided to keep the original 2025 swatch in case somebody has sims living in that year :)

I know this is from a while ago but I LOVEEEEEE the pleasentville graduation photos so much and have been wanting to do something similar for my game so that I can have parents have framed photos of their kids and stuff so I was wondering what backdrop and poses you used if any? Hi everyone! My first time making eyes! I fell in love with these sets from stretchskeleton (incredible username btw) so I just had to use it as my chance to try something new. I decided to put it on maxis-match MSWN v3.0 sclera because it's one of my favorites, if you wanna change the way that looks I can recommend to combine it with stuff like sclera overlays :) The black sclera on some of the supernatural eyes is just plain black background like in Maxis alien eyes.
All eyes, even the most "unusual" ones, come in a geneticized and townified version if you wanna get to see them appear in your game more. It took me a moment to decide how I wanna geneticize them. I ended up using the Maxis system (brown/dark blue eyes are dominant, while gray, green and light blue are recessive), but I just also kinda gave some colors values based on how I roughly felt about them. So, most dark colors are dominant, as well as all the browns, reds, pinks, oranges, and all of the supernatural eyes from Eyes 01 set; most light and "colder" colors are recessive.
Of course, you can also get the custom version of the eyes you don't want to randomly see pop up in your game. All of them are separated from each other so that you could install the "human" ones (Eyes 01, Eyes 02 With Pupils, Eyes 03) separately from "unusual" ones (Eyes 01 Supernatural, Eyes 02 Without Pupils). Keep in mind that despite the fact that I separated Eyes 02 into versions with pupil and without, I still kept the swatch numbers the way I originally did them, so ones with pupil are numbered 1 to 35 and without are 36 to 60, I just felt like it was more convenient even if it's a little visually confusing.
