i hate that i have to do this but i have been in the midst of what my psychiatrist tells me is a "severe episode" all while my job is slashing my hours. i have to get new meds and pay rent- i'm about $900 out from being able to do either of those. i have no choice but to ask for help.

A pedal harp with a beautiful emerald green finish from AnniQ
I really love the classic feel that this harp brings, even though the details of the harp aren't really sharp.
This CC has nearly 18K polygons, so it's a high poly CC.
The original mesh and texture belongs to AnniQ.
This harp was cloned from my Aurelia Pedal Harp CC. If you've already downloaded that CC before, you won't need the 'Harp Sound File' I've attached. But if you haven't downloaded it yet, please copy the files in that folder and paste them into your Downloads folder :D
i decided to try my hand at editing sophiedavid's "buyable aspiration & career rewards" to also have the same edits from joninmobile's "career rewards as aspiration rewards", essentially combining the features. it went well, so i'm sharing it with you all here.
excuse the shitty uninspired preview taken on my testing lot.
this is something i made for myself awhile ago. i've used sophiedavid's buyable rewards for a long time, usually to add them to community lots.
but in actual gameplay, i find that i rarely end up getting most of them naturally. plus, some of them i don't like the idea of being locked behind entering a niche (paranormal...) career. joninmobile's version solved that issue, but the two are incompatible with each other. ...unless? :3 in the end, career rewards will be obtainable in 3 ways: the original way, in build buy, and as aspiration rewards.
i made sure to give each reward the same points price that joninmobile decided on (if you want to see the prices for each reward, they're listed here. i recommend reading sophie's post too.) the price in build/buy might appear to be more than zero, but trust me, when you actually buy them it will not cost you anything.
INSTALLATION:
DO NOT INSTALL IN DOWNLOADS FOLDER!
instead, place the file in the catalog bin of your latest pack, in the games' installation folder:
for Ultimate Collection: Wherever you installed the game\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins
for Legacy Collection: Wherever you installed the game\EP9\TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins
make sure to remove sophiedavid's "SDsims2_CareerRewards" if you have it, as well as any of joninmobile's too. you can keep sophiedavid's "SDsims2_AspirationRewards" though!

I made a quick mod that affects pet-to-furniture interaction. Basically, it just makes it so that no matter how long they chew or scratch for, furniture will never be destroyed. This was because I was annoyed of training all pets to be perfect and well behaved. Let bad pets be bad! I like to have some sims be lazy owners or I headcannon them as too nice to scold and discipline, but also I was tired of constantly replacing furniture. This is different from MidgeTheTree's mod as that disables scratching/chewing of furniture entirely. This mod still allows the bad behavior to exist, just without the pile of rubble and trash. Enjoy~

Just a quick and dirty default I did because I hated the colours of the juggling balls. I made them more muted than the ones in-game and actually shows off how shiny the balls actually are.
These are just TXMT changes, so very tiny file. I replaced the red, blue, yellow ones, plus there's a green one as well that I haven't seen yet in-game but I changed it anyway.

Same thing as my first batch of recolors, it's the FT Dala Horse made to look like 80s/90s My Little Pony figures. Again used TS2 icons as the cutie marks, mostly Aspirations and then a few misc. ones like wants/turn-ons/offs/supernaturals.
Also like last time, there's some blurriness/pixelation because the texture is 128px. I didn't upscale it as the figure itself is not that big, so during typical gameplay I don't think the blurriness/pixelation is that noticeable.
So I know there is a debate about the use of AI in the community that I won’t get into but saw that one of its supposed uses was for defaults.
I just wanted to put out there that if anyone has questions, needs troubleshooting, to be walked through the process, or me to look at their files to see if I can spot an issue, I’m really happy to do so. I don't always respond the quickest, but I always respond. AND, never assume helping others (you) is a waste of time. I cannot tell you how many things I have learned from helping others. I love figuring stuff out! Sometimes, I might fail at doing so, even.
Human connection is the only true constant in these uncertain times. I know it's a struggle, but it's worth it! AI is the anti-thesis to all that.

I apologize for tagging other sims communities but we need all the help we can get!
My sister just accidentally deleted her Sims 3 mods folder that had over a decade worth of CC and mods (over 10 GB). She only noticed after she deleted them from the recycling bin.
She's been trying to recover them through the built in Windows recovering program and recuva but she couldn't find everything and anything she did recover seemed to be broken. Like she can't open the files.
Please suggest ANYTHING if you have any idea of what we could do. It would mean the world to us.
