"from being the invisible student to the 'crazy chick' was definitely not in your curriculum."
A cat fight in the middle of a fraternity, a scholarship hanging by a thread and a research project with the only guy who shouldn't know that you're obsessed with him. Ryomen Sukuna is the fourth-year captain, the most arrogant and unfortunately attractive guy on the entire campus… and now it's your only chance to clear your name. The deal is simple: you approve the subject and he makes everyone forget the gossip about you. The problem? This is just the start
❤︎ 𓄹 ꒱ best friend!sukuna and fem!reader's not so platonic relationship
⤷ ⋆ ꒰ cw ꒱ :: afab reader, use of y/n, miscommunication, guilt, smut, making out, happy ending, dry humping, childhood friends, college au, making up, reader and sukuna drink and do drugs | wc: 1.3k
best friend!sukuna whom you had known since elementary school. it started with him throwing wood chips at you on the playground, and after that it soon bloomed into something much, much more.
best friend!sukuna who was your first kiss. you went on and on to him while you were hanging out with him one day about how you're too nervous to have your first kiss. "what if i regret it?” "what if I don't like them anymore?” these were all concerns you were expressing to sukuna. after hearing you rant for a few minutes, he suddenly just said, "how about you kiss me?”
you looked at him like he was crazy, saying that he’s your friend and you could never be—and how it would be weird. but sukuna reasoned with you. he said that since you both are best friends, it wouldn’t be an issue. he also then said that it would be better to do it with someone you've known longer rather than some random guy you meet at college. to wrap up his speech, he ended it with “only if you want to, though.” he then stared at you intently, waiting for you to make your decision. you scooted forward, pawing at his shirt as your breath fanned against his lips. he whispers, "are you sure?” you say nothing and press your lips against his. after that day, you both subconsciously knew you couldn't just be friends anymore.
best friend!sukuna and you who both attended your last school dance together. you were both in your last year of high school, both ready for college, and since neither of you had any dates, you figured you would just go together.
best friend!sukuna was waiting outside your house, flowers in hand and a cocky grin on his face.
best friend!sukuna and you applied to the same college and got in together. you both celebrated once you both got your acceptance letters by going to your nearest cheap fast food restaurant and dressing up together.
best friend!sukuna who was still close with you even after he applied to be in a frat. he'd invite you to all the biggest ragers, and when people got too close to you while you were tipsy, he always got weirdly possessive over you. he told himself that he was just trying to protect you, but something raw and intimate boiled deep down inside him.
best friend!sukuna and you always got extremely drunk together. you'd both hang out at each other's dorm, drink too much, and next thing you know, you're talking all things tmi. it got to the point once where you were ranting about how you wondered how dick piercings looked. sukuna then said groggily, "wanna see?" and that is how you saw a dick for the first time.
best friend!sukuna and you once got too high together and ended up making out. you were gasping against each other's lips, moaning softly, and pressing your groins against each other, chasing more friction.
best friend!sukuna and you woke up tangled in his sheets together. you immediately panic and tiptoe out of his room wearing his shirt and a thin pair of panties.
the minute you stepped out of sukuna's room, you were greeted with the sight of toji, sukuna's frat brother. he looked at you with a knowing smirk before turning away and whispering, "finally," to himself.
best friend!sukuna and you avoided the situation as a whole together. however, it seemed like everyone around you felt like being an asshole about it. especially toji. while you were both at another classic rager held at sukuna's frat, toji had somehow gotten you both to join in on truth or drink. sukuna grumbled under his breath, something about how immature toji is for wanting to play.. nevertheless, he follows toji to the kitchen with you trailing behind them both.
after what feels like a billion rounds of truth or drink, toji suddenly points at sukuna.
"alright, sukuna, everyone's been wondering, is there something going on with you and y/n?"
sukuna freezes. he immediately feels your eyes and everyone else's on him. he mumbles out a quick response since he really doesn't want to have another drink. correction: he can't have another drink. he already feels so buzzy.
"there's nothing going on with us," a sigh. "besides, i don't even remember what happened, so it doesn't really matter."
after sukuna mumbles out his half-assed excuse, everyone looks to you while letting out a collective "ooo." you can't even look at sukuna right now. you feel so pathetic. of course he doesn't remember. but you do. you remember everything. how his lips felt sliding against yours, his cock pressing against your cunt, his choked-out moans.
"i don't remember either," you finally say. "we were both high as hell. it was just an accident."
after that day everyone drops it. but you don't. sukuna doesn't either.
best friend!sukuna who can't stop thinking about that night with you. your lips felt so different from the time when you both kissed as teenagers. you felt so sure. your soft whimpers, clawing at his red locks, and pressing your soaked cunt against his cock.
god he felt pathedic.
sukuna didn't know what to say on that night of the party. i mean, what was he supposed to say? "yeah, y/n, i've been in love with you for years and just now realized it. also, i forgot to tell you that you dry humping against me made me cum in my pants."
absolutely not.
so instead he lied. he lied to everyone at that stupid party. but most importantly, he lied to you. his best friend. his other half. he doesn't even know how to go about this situation. i mean, if he told the truth anways, you'd say you don't even remember it. and then what? He just seems like a pathetic loser.
so yeah, he lied. and he feels shit about it.
best friend!sukuna and you become tense after the party. neither of you mentioned that night of truth or drink. both of you are too ashamed to admit that you remember every second of that night. that night of your lips against each other, that night where both of your true feelings came out on accident.
best friend!sukuna who can't take the tension anymore. his love for you feels like it's going to explode out of his chest and set fire to this friendship you both have crafted. he shows up at your door after running through the pouring rain, hair wet, and t-shirt clinging to his abs.
"i lied," is what he said the moment you opened your dorm door. "fuck, i remember all of it. your moans, your soft lips, everything. i lied—" a sob. "i know you don't see me the same, but i need you to know. i need you to know that i love you. i need you to know that i burn for you. i need you. fuck, i love you. i'm rambling. i'm sorry. i know this is going to ruin our friendship, but—"
"sukuna, kiss me."
he pauses. "what?"
"kiss me."
without a second thought, he lunges through your doorway and kisses you. it isn't rushed; it isn't fake; it's real. it's raw, it's intimate, it's what you've both been wanting for more years than you both can count.
"i lied too," you say against his lips. "i remember it all too. fuck, i only lied because I didn't want to look like a loser in front of everyone. "god, i'm sorry i lied. please, i'm so sorry, ryo. please, god, i'm so sorry."
"shh, it's okay," is all Sukuna whispers before backing you into your dorm and shutting the door behind him.
"i love you. i love you. i love you," you chant. "i'm sorry it took me so long to admit—"
"i love you too", sukuna says breathlessly. "please, i'm so sorry for lying. please, i'll make it up to you, one day at a time. i'll do it for as long as you need until you know that i love you inside out. i'll prove it to you."

Could you continue that omegaverse post you made? It was really good
I am so glad you liked it! I was super nervous posting it as this universe is an entire new thing to me, I am nervous posting this too, but I hope you enjoy this second part! <3

Family (Omegaverse)(pt.2)
The integration into the pack was easier than you thought it would be, a lot easier than what it was with your last pack. You don't know if it's because everyone here is involved with the hero world, or if your last pack was actually that terrible to you, even from the beginning. After that initial conversation where you agreed to come with them, Midoriya and Uraraka were your 'designated' helpers to help you pack your small amount of things and bring you back to their home. They didn't comment on your situation or show any pity for you when they took a look around the hotel room, but you could tell they were more relaxed that you agreed to come back and start a new life with them.
Everyone was super nice as you started to meet them. With most of their pack being heroes, they were always coming and going, some working late-night shifts, others working early in the morning. You learned they all worked at the same agency, a joint partnership between the three alphas who ran it all, but everyone contributed in their own way. Yaoyorozu was a part of their research and development department, helping more with projects and research, rather than being in the spotlight. Tsuyu, whom you met when you first arrived and who had insisted on calling her Tsuyu, and Uraraka were Team Leads at the agency, managing their own group of sidekicks and able to have input on major operations. Shinso and Tokoyami, two other members you didn't meet until days after you moved in, were in charge of the night shift at the agency, not partners like the alphas, but oversaw the nighttime operations and were the most in-charge heroes to contact at night, other than the heads, at least. That's not including everyone else that you haven't had a chance to get to know and sit down with to learn more about them, or been told about yet.
Your room, a room Kaminari made sure that you knew the three alphas picked out together, was on the very top floor, on the same level as the three of them, and according to Yaoyorozu, was one of the biggest rooms with the nicest bathrooms and a private balcony. You immediately start to apologize, saying someone who has been around longer than you should have this nice of a space, but they laugh at you. Uraraka wipes a tear from her eye as she dries her laughing.
"I promise you no one is mad they don't have this room. No one wants to be with the three of them." You start to question why when loud music starts to blare from the other side of the building. Loud bass, steady beats, and then the sound of weights clinking and dropping on the floor starts. Yaoyorozu sighs while Denki chuckles.
"Looks like Ei and Kat started their workout." You don't have to ask further questions on why this room is vacant. Thankfully, though, most of the sound is muffled after you close the door, for you, you don't mind the noise, the invasion of their space into yours. It feels nice, feels like something that can eventually be a home, and it's a sign that here, the space is lived in, loved in, and communicated in- not a fortress to show who the best of the best is.
It doesn't take you long to find your rhythm in the pack's flow and settle into your role inside. You still worked, your independence was still important to you, no matter how many times Bakugo or Todoroki would tell you that you didn't have to work. When you were off, though, you found yourself inside the communal kitchen making food for everyone, even the ones that worked crazy hours, with a little note, 'make sure you fuel yourself:).' packing it in easy containers to warm up when they get home. Even with the cleaning service they pay for, you found spots the cleaners would miss, or you wouldn't like the way they did something, and you would be cleaning/fixing it yourself. On your off days, you would go to the grocery store, typically with someone, whether it would be a beta that one of the alphas sent with you or one of them themselves. You would scour the aisles with a list, picking up a bunch of things to make and prep to help everyone while they work. You were there for about a month and a half when Kirishima found you in the kitchen, working on making a new recipe that you saw earlier that week and wanted to try to make for everyone.
"You know you don't have to do this right? We just wanted you here, safe, not to become our chef and maid." You look up from the sauce you were making, a soft smile on your face.
"I know, I want to, though- I like taking care of everyone, it feels nice. It feels like home." Kirishima lets out a low growl and has to look away, his face heating up as he tries to calm himself down. He didn't know a simple sentence from you about taking care of him could get him going like that, but here he is; heart pounding, body heating up, and having the urge to sit you up on the counter. He coughs and stands.
"We-well, your cooking is amazing, and the kitchen looks amazing, thank you. Now I need to- uh- go do something." He stalks out of the kitchen, the door shutting behind him with a little more force than you thought necessary. You feel your cheeks warm as you continue cooking, making a note that you might need to watch what you say a little more carefully in the future.
The morning you woke up incredibly thirsty, a thirst that you have learned to recognize over the years, dread pooled in the bottom of your stomach. It was happening, your pre-heat was starting, which meant in a day or two you would have to go through your heat cycle, and you are in a new place, with new people, which means you have no idea what to expect. You smack your hand against your head as you think about where your room is compared to the alphas in this pack and how they really did a horrible job picking out your living space.
When you finally ventured out of your room to grab some water, you were relieved not to run into one of the three men who live on your floor, but instead Yaoyorozu, who was making a smoothie of some sort. You approached her and softly but steadily asked her a question you were hoping she would say yes to.
"Is there a separate place for me to go during my heat cycle?" Yaoyorozu looked at you, stopping the blender.
"Yeah, there is a floor a few levels down- wait, are you about to go into heat?" She says, immediately moving towards her phone. You grab her arm.
"Please, don't say anything- yes, I am, but for obvious reasons, I don't think being in my room is the best idea." She places a hand on your arm and gives you a soft smile.
"I'm just texting some of the betas. There is a floor that Shoto had designed for when Omegas are here, going through heat. There is only one way to access the floor, and some of them will help me get it prepped and ready for you. You have nothing to be afraid of here; you will be safe and taken care of." The anxiety in your stomach eased up with some of her words. You nodded your head.
"Okay, okay, yeah- if they would like to help, that would be nice."
Of course, the three men could sense it before they had to ask it later that day. It wasn't intentional, if anything you have been doing your best to avoid the three of them all day, but your urge to nest the area around you, to clean everything, fluff everything, and make sure everything was cozy for everyone was too great and when you found yourself in their gym, seeing Kirishima's energy bar wrappers everywhere, and the disinfectant cleaner running a little to low for your liking, you found yourself wiping everything down and throwing away a disgustingly number of wrappers that you found tucked in the weirdest places.
"-ckin' dampeners need to be recalibrated, if I get a kickback like that one more time I'm firin' everyone." You hear the approaching private gym doors. Your freeze. You were in here way longer than you thought.
"Don't be like that, man. They are trying their best-" Kirishima's voice cuts off as the door opens, and they take two steps in. It isn't the smell of the disinfectant, or the wrappers picked up that used to lie everywhere, it's you. Their heads snap to yours instantly, and your eyes widen as theirs darken. The tension is thick inside the room; you have no idea what is going on inside their heads, but you can take a few guesses. After a moment, Bakugo turns; it looks like it physically hurts him to stop looking at you.
"Fuck, hell, you doin' in here?" He snaps, he has his back to you, but even underneath his shirt, you can see the tension in his shoulders, the rigid posture he has set.
"I-I'm sorry, I just started cleaning, and then I saw the wrappers, and then I-" Kirishima has his fist clenched so tight as he cuts you off.
"It's fine, just uh, find one of the betas, okay? We will finish this." You don't argue, scurrying out past them, wincing as you realize you don't have any scent blockers on and got really close to them in your escape. The groan you hear from the doors is enough to make you quicken your pace to find someone that isn't an alpha in this forsaken skyscraper. The moment you see Sero, you are asking questions a million miles a minute about whether the floor is ready, can you go ahead and go down there, and if there is anything else you need to do. He calms you down and leads you to the private elevator to that floor, not bothering to ask what happened to make you so anxious to be locked on a floor for the next few days.
The two alphas just calmed themselves down. Working out every instinct, every feeling, every thought they had between sparring and weights when the intercom inside the gym did its intro ding, and then their private secretary, who they hired for the building, filtered through.
"Sirs, I have a visitor here, he is- persistent, wanting to talk to the alpha in charge." The two men look at each other before making their way to the elevators, Shoto coming out of his private office to meet them.
"Any idea who this is?" Shoto asks them calmly.
"No, I wasn't expecting anyone," Kirishima replies, looking over to Katsuki. He is already flexing his hands.
"Better have a good fuckin' reason for being here." Is all he says before the elevator doors open. The rest of the way down is in silence, their protective instinct over every single person in this building starting to flood through their bodies. At the lobby of the building, they see a man, flanked by two others. By the smell alone, the man standing in front is an alpha, but they don't recognize him from their city, or at least their district. The man is built, muscles defined under his simple t-shirt. He is composed and calm, but has a smile that looks a little sinister, a little condescending, that puts the three men on edge. When he glances at the three of them, a flicker of surprise passes through his eyes before he relaxes again, behind him the two behind him tense up, like they are expecting whatever is about to happen go south. Shoto, Eijiro, and Katsuki all stand in a line together, united, fronted. The man takes a step forward. His voice is calm and even.
"Gentlemen, sorry for the abrupt intrusion and not asking for a formal audience, however," his eyes glint, a show of possessiveness and anger flashing through them. "I believe one of my omegas have ran from home to here, and I would like them back, now."

college au, love triangle, friends with benefits / crush. [cw: a bit of angst, jealousy, drugs, rough sex, threesome, choking, nipple play, unsafe sex] wc.
summary: Reader is the campuses full time cutest plug and favorite mascot, no one knows who's under the mask until Sukuna "accidentally" punches her and both Ryomen who wants to be more than friends with benefits and Satoru who wants to be more than her customer buying coke he doesnt even want now know who's giving it their all under that furry costume.
The five foot tall fuzzy gray wolf mascot of Jujutsu University was shaking its hips directly in Ryomen Sukuna’s face.
It was the pre-game ritual. The cheer team was executing their stunts and the stadium bleachers were practically vibrating from the crowd's deafening screams.
Sukuna, the terrifying and heavily tattooed captain of the football team, was aggressively trying to listen to the coach’s final strategy adjustments over the noise. Instead, he had a plush wolf tail repeatedly brushing against his massive shoulder pads.
You, safely hidden inside the suffocating foam padding of the mascot suit, thought it was absolutely hilarious.
Nobody on campus knew who the mascot was; it was the best-kept secret at the university.
As the mascot, you were a menace who existed solely to roast the athletes. Outside the suit, your relationship with Sukuna was entirely different.
You were his highly reliable plug. Behind the closed doors of his athletic dorm room, you were the girl he kept completely to himself. It was a friends-with-benefits arrangement where the benefits went both ways. He was a loyal customer who always paid top dollar and you were his favorite late-night distraction.
An hour before kickoff, he had texted you: Make sure you're at Gojo's frat party tonight. I'll make sure the team wins, just bring the stash and be ready.
Yet here you were, playing a dangerous game of chicken in a giant foam wolf costume right on his gridiron.
"Get this damn furry away from me before I tear it apart," Sukuna growled, his jaw clenching hard as he shoved your foam shoulder away.
You didn't listen. Instead, you did a goofy wave, stepped right back into his personal space and executed a dramatic, mocking football hike right between his legs. The crowd roared with laughter.
Sukuna’s volatile patience snapped completely. He spun around and threw a hard punch straight at the wolf’s snout to clear his path.
Crack.
The stadium went dead silent for a fraction of a second. A collective, tense "Ooooooh..." rippled through the bleachers.
Inside the suit, your vision literally went black for half a second. The punch was devastatingly heavy. What really did the damage was the hard plastic interior of the mascot’s mesh eye socket, which slammed violently into your left cheekbone.
The force of it rattled your teeth. Tears pricked your eyes instantly and the sharp, metallic taste of copper flooded your mouth.
Holy shit, that hurt.
But you were a professional. If you collapsed or started crying on the turf, the trainers would pull the heavy mask off to check on you. Your identity would be exposed and your very lucrative side-hustle would go completely down the drain.
Stumbling back dramatically, you clutched your oversized foam head. You executed a theatrical, dizzy wobble before your body went completely stiff and you fell backward onto the ground.
The crowd erupted into renewed cheers and laughter, fully convinced it was all part of the act. Sukuna just scoffed, rolling his shoulders as he turned his back on you to head toward the huddle. "Stupid dog," he muttered.
The second the game officially started and the attention shifted entirely to the kickoff, you dragged your aching, heavy body off the sidelines. You stumbled straight into the empty, quiet varsity locker room.
Ripping the heavy wolf head off, you gasped for the cool air and collapsed onto the wooden bench. Tears finally spilled over your cheeks from the throbbing pain.
Crawling over to the mirror, you winced. Your left cheekbone was already swelling rapidly, a dark, angry purple bruise forming right under your eye.
Knowing you couldn't show up to the party looking like this, you decided to hide out in the locker room to figure out how to sneak back to your dorm, completely ignoring the frantic text tones buzzing in your pocket.
Suddenly, the heavy double doors opened. You stiffened, trying to shrink into the shadows, but a heavy hand clamped down directly onto your shoulder.
You spun around, freezing as you looked up into Sukuna’s dark eyes. The game had just ended and he was already out of his pads, wearing a tight black tee, looking down at you with a severe scowl.
"Where the hell were you during the second half?" he demanded, his voice dropping into that low, gravelly register that always made your stomach do flips.
"I texted you before the game. I told you I'd win the game and I need my refill right now. Choso’s stuff is too damn heavy when I’m trying to recover from a game."
"I-I was sick," you stammered, taking a panicked step back. His grip on your shoulder tightened just enough to keep you pinned in place.
"Sick?" Sukuna scoffed, his sharp eyes scanning your face.
Then, his gaze locked directly onto your left cheek. Under the makeup, the distinct shape of the violent swelling was unmistakable. His eyes narrowed, the lazy irritation instantly vanishing, replaced by something dangerous.
"What the fuck is this?"
"Nothing! A trip!" you lied quickly, your heart hammering against your ribs.
Sukuna stepped closer, completely crowding your space. He reached out, his rough thumb brushing tentatively against your cheekbone right over the injury. You let out a sharp, involuntary hiss of pain, flinching away.
"Don't lie to me," Sukuna growled, a rage boiling in his chest. "Who hit you? Give me their name. I'll break their limbs."
"Seriously, Sukuna, it was an accident!" you said, your voice squeaking a little as you panicked. "I just... I was walking in the dark. I didn't see the... the door handle! The door handle just... it hit me! I mean, it punched me in the face!"
Sukuna stared at you. Your stuttering was pathetic and your excuse was even worse.
He stared intensely at the localized bruise on your cheekbone. It looked like the impact of a blunt object. Like a fist.
Suddenly, Sukuna’s mind flashed back to the pre-game warmup on the turf. He remembered hitting the mascot's face. He remembered the loud crack of the plastic eye socket.
The silence that stretched between you became suffocating. Slowly, Sukuna’s murderous rage melted away, replaced by an expression of profound shock.
A slow, wicked, deeply possessive smirk spread across his lips as the pieces clicked together.
"Whatever you say, sweetheart," Sukuna muttered, rolling his eyes as he dropped his hand from your face, shoving his fists into his pockets. "Seriously. How clumsy can you get?"
Before you could even process the sudden shift, he grabbed your wrist and started tugging you firmly down the hallway toward the inner athletic wing.
"Wait, Sukuna, where are we going?" you hissed, trying to pull away, but he completely ignored your resistance.
He pushed open the inner locker room doors. The distant sound of laughter and metal cleats echoing down the adjacent hall meant his teammates were already heading back from the field. Sukuna didn't seem to pay them any attention.
Your heart leaped into your throat as he pulled you past the rows of lockers and directly into the tiled communal shower area. He dragged you into the furthest stall, shielding you entirely with his massive frame as he crowded you against the cold tile wall.
"Sukuna, stop, we're going to get caught," you whispered frantically.
"Shut up," he growled, his mouth slamming down onto yours.
It was a bruising, intense kiss born of sheer pent-up frustration and a sudden rush of possessiveness. His large hands gripped your waist tightly, pulling your body completely flush against his hard chest.
You let out a soft sigh into his mouth, your hands automatically finding their way into his short, spiked pink hair as you kissed him back.
Outside the stall, the heavy locker room doors swung open, the loud, booming voices of the victorious football team filling the echoey space. Sukuna didn't care. He deepened the kiss, his thumb lightly brushing your jawline to hold you steady.
But as he shifted his weight to press you harder against the wall, his broad shoulder accidentally knocked against the metal shower handle behind him, wrenching it violently to the side.
A blast of cold water erupted from the showerhead directly above you, instantly drenching both of you from head to toe. Sukuna didn't even flinch.
He choked out a low laugh against your mouth, his lips moving down to rain hot, wet kisses along your jaw and the sensitive skin of your neck.
The heat building between you was suffocating despite the rushing water. You were completely breathless, trying to match his frantic pace as your clothes soaked through.
He lifted you a bit, his hands holding your thighs tight to keep you up. But the slippery tile floor and the rushing water worked against you. Your foot slipped.
You lost your balance.
You yelped loudly as you fell, your elbow striking the metal soap dispenser on the wall with a loud, resounding clang. The metallic noise echoed sharply through the entire shower room.
Outside, the rowdy chatter in the locker room stopped instantly. The sound of a girl's voice in the varsity football showers was an absolute dead giveaway.
"Yo, Ryomen? That you in there?" Gojo’s loud, unmistakable voice boomed from the locker area. "And who exactly do you have with you..."
Before Sukuna could react or block the view, Gojo Satoru rounded the corner and peeked right over the low stall divider.
Your wet hoodie had fallen back, exposing your face. Your soaked, panicked eyes were locked onto him, and the purple bruise on your cheekbone was fully visible under the streaming water.
Gojo froze instantly, his usual arrogant grin completely vanishing from his face as his electric blue eyes locked onto your injury.
The locker room went completely silent. Sensing the sudden drop in temperature, you scrambled up, pushed past Gojo and bolted out of the showers.
A chorus of murmurs erupted from the team as you ran past the lockers. Toji Fushiguro, leaning against the entryway with a towel slung over his shoulder, raised an eyebrow and called out, "Hey, baby, where ya going!" while a few other guys laughed.
You kept your head down, pulling your wet hood up to hide your face as you fled the building, completely mortified.
Back in the showers, Gojo stood entirely still, his hand still resting against the stall divider, looking absolutely furious.
Sukuna stepped out of the wet stall, calmly slicking his damp pink hair back from his forehead as he threw a smug smirk at the quarterback.
"You've got a lot of nerve barging in here, Satoru," Sukuna said, his voice dripping with arrogance.
Gojo spun around, closing the distance in an instant until he was standing chest-to-chest with the captain. "Are you fucking kidding me right now, Ryomen? Did you punch her?"
Sukuna let out a dark, mocking laugh. "And what if I did? What's it to you, quarterback?"
Gojo growled, his patience completely fracturing. He fisted his hand into Sukuna’s collar and violently shoved him against the tiled wall.
"Alright, wrap it up, girls," Toji’s deep voice interrupted from the entryway, his tone bored but authoritative enough to break the hold.
Sukuna scoffed, ripping Gojo's hand off his collar, and walked out without another word. Gojo didn't say anything else either; he simply stormed out of the athletic wing, entirely blinded by a volatile mixture of protective fury and toxic jealousy.
He didn't text you. He didn't call. He marched straight across campus to the freshman dorm quad, the lobby falling dead silent as the star quarterback walked past the giggling groups of students and headed straight up the stairs to your room.
A heavy, aggressive knock rattled your dorm room door.
"Just a second!" you called out anxiously.
You had just taken a frantic shower to get the cold turf water off your skin. You were wearing nothing but a white towel clutched to your chest, and you had a soothing sheet mask pressed to your face to hide the swelling.
You unlocked the door and pulled it open just a fraction of an inch.
Gojo stood in the hallway. His white hair was damp from the night air, and his chest was heaving under his athletic shirt.
"Gojo? What are you doing here?" you stammered.
He didn't answer. He simply slammed his palm against the wood, forcing his way inside and shutting the door firmly behind him.
Before you could yell at him, his long fingers reached up and peeled the sheet mask straight off your face, exposing the dark purple bruise to the harsh light of the room.
Gojo’s breath hitched sharply. His electric blue eyes widened with a sudden, painful mixture of heartache and fury.
"Please," he pleaded, his voice cracking as he stepped closer. "Just tell me what's wrong. What happened to you? Did Ryomen actually do this?"
"Satoru, stop it, you need to leave right now!" you cried, clutching your towel tighter.
He didn't move an inch, completely ignoring your demands as his mind raced to put the puzzle together.
"Is this why you weren't at the game tonight? Is this why you stood me up at the afterparty? Did Sukuna hurt you before the game started? Is that why you were hiding in the locker room?"
"No! Sukuna didn't hurt me!" you yelled back, exasperated.
Gojo aggressively rubbed a hand through his white hair, walking back and forth in the tight space of your room. He was trying to solve a puzzle.
"Then where were you? I looked for you during the game. I always look for you in the crowd." He stopped walking dead in his tracks, turning his intense gaze back to you. "I've never once seen you in the student section at our home games. Why aren't you ever in the stands?"
You stopped moving entirely, your throat suddenly feeling incredibly dry. You stared at him, frozen.
If you told him the truth, he would realize you had the best seat in the stadium, right inside the giant fuzzy head of the university mascot he played alongside every week. Your mind scrambled frantically for a lie, but the room remained dead silent.
Gojo was operating on pure adrenaline, his protective instincts entirely overriding his sanity.
When it came to you, his brain simply didn't work right. He didn't care about logistics, he just saw his favorite girl looking small, wet and incredibly pretty in a white towel, bearing a bruise he desperately wanted to avenge.
"Were you... are you avoiding the games because of him?" Gojo asked, his voice suddenly dropping into a softer, vulnerable register. The anger was fading, replaced by an intense focus on you. "Are you guys... together?"
"No, Satoru, it’s not like that," you sighed, entirely too exhausted to keep yelling. "Sukuna and I... we just have an understanding. It’s business. Sometimes... more. But he didn’t give me this bruise maliciously, okay? I swear."
Gojo scanned your face, searching your eyes. He could tell you were being honest.
The realization that Sukuna hadn't intentionally hurt you brought a visible wave of relief to his face, though the simmering jealousy remained.
"So..." Gojo said, his voice dropping an octave as he took another slow, deliberate step into your personal space. "You're not his girlfriend."
"I'm nobody's girlfriend," you whispered.
The room suddenly felt entirely too small. Gojo was looming over you, smelling of rain and expensive men's soap.
Your eyes instinctively flicked down to his plush lips and Gojo didn't miss the reaction. A confident, predatory look returned to his blue eyes.
"Good," he murmured. He reached out, his long, pale fingers gently cupping your face, his thumb lightly stroking your jawline. "I've been waiting weeks to do this."
He leaned down and kissed you. It was slow, smooth and devastatingly sweet, completely different from Sukuna’s rough, bruising grip.
Gojo’s kiss was a gentle temptation and you let out a soft sigh against his mouth, your hands automatically rising to rest against his solid chest.
He groaned softly, his hand sliding to the nape of your neck to deepen the kiss, his other hand traveling down to spread flat against the small of your back.
The contrast of his warmth against your damp skin was intoxicating, and your fingers curled into his shirt as his lips trailed along your jawline.
"Gojo..." you breathed out, your head rolling back.
"Don't call me that," he murmured against your skin, pressing a warm kiss to your pulse point. "It's Satoru. Say it."
He pulled back just an inch, his blue eyes dark with desire as his thumb traced the curve of your lip, his mouth coming back down to consume yours with a hungrier intensity.
Suddenly, your phone buzzed aggressively against the wooden desk.
You tried to ignore it, but the persistent, rhythmic hum refused to stop. Gasping for air, you reluctantly pulled back from his mouth and reached over, snatching the device.
The bright screen illuminated your face with a terrifying caller ID: Sukuna.
A string of text messages popped up in rapid succession.
Sukuna: Open the side gate. I’m coming over. Sukuna: Don’t bother locking your door.
Your heart did a violent flip. Panic, cold and absolute, washed over you.
"Everything alright?" Gojo asked, his voice low and raspy as he tried to lean back into your space.
"I, I need to reply to this," you stammered, your thumbs flying across the screen.
You: Wait, no, don't come over. I just got out of the shower. I'm exhausted. I'm going to sleep. Sukuna: I’m not coming over to fuck. I'm already in the courtyard.
"Oh my god," you gasped, shoving hard against Gojo's chest. "Satoru, you have to leave. Right now. You need to go out the window or something, please!"
"What? Why?" Gojo blinked, his face darkening instantly as his eyes caught the name on the screen. "Ryomen? Why the hell is he coming here?"
"I don't have time to explain, just get out!" you hissed, trying to push his massive frame toward the exit.
Before he could move, three heavy, authoritative knocks rattled your door frame, immediately followed by the aggressive jiggle of the doorknob.
"Satoru, the bathroom, go!" you panicked, grabbing his forearm and dragging him toward the connected stall.
Gojo looked furious, his jaw clenching tightly. "Are you serious? You're hiding me from him?"
But seeing the genuine terror in your eyes, he relented, stepping backward into the dark bathroom and leaving the door cracked just a fraction of an inch.
"I know you're in there, sweetheart," Sukuna’s muffled voice echoed from the hallway.
A sharp metallic click rang out. Sukuna didn't have the patience to wait; he used the spare key you had given him weeks ago, unlocked the door himself and pushed it open, stepping boldly into your room.
You stood in the center of the space, clutching your towel tightly around yourself as your heart hammered against your ribs.
Sukuna slammed the door shut behind him, looking thoroughly ticked off. His dark eyes scanned the room before locking onto your face, and the moment they did, his entire posture froze.
In the clinical light of your dorm, Sukuna finally saw the full extent of the dark purple bruise on your cheekbone.
He dropped his leather jacket to the floor, closing the distance between you in two long, heavy strides.
"Sukuna, wait..."
He didn't listen. His massive, tattooed hands came up, his touch uncharacteristically gentle as his wide palms cupped your jawline, his thumbs lightly framing the edges of the swelling without applying a single ounce of pressure.
He leaned down, his face inches from yours, his dark eyes swirling with a heavy mixture of guilt, shock and toxic possessiveness.
"Fuck," Sukuna muttered, pressing his forehead gently against yours. "I'm sorry. I didn't know it was you."
You blinked, completely bewildered. "What? Sukuna, what are you talking about?"
"Stop lying," Sukuna interrupted softly. He leaned in, pressing a slow, deep, incredibly commanding kiss to your lips before pulling back, his gaze intensely serious.
"I know you're the mascot. I lost my goddamn mind out there. I clocked that foam head because I was pissed at the plays. If I had known it was you inside that suit, I never would have touched you. I'm taking care of it, my temper, alright? I'll fix it, just don't listen to a word anyone else says."
Behind the bathroom door, Gojo’s world stopped spinning. The final pieces of the puzzle clicked together. Sukuna had hit the mascot, completely blind to the fact that his favorite girl was inside the suit.
Sukuna didn't wait for your response. He leaned back down, burying his face into the warm crook of your neck, his lips pressing heavy kisses against your skin as his hands pulled your towel-clad body firmly against his chest.
"Sukuna, stop," you whispered, trying to push against his muscular shoulders. "I'm tired. I just want to sleep."
"You're not tired," Sukuna murmured against your skin, his grip tightening. "Just let me look after you tonight, sweetheart."
"She said no, Ryomen."
The bathroom door flew open with explosive force. Gojo stepped out, his frame vibrating with pure, unadulterated jealousy and rage. His fists were white and his eyes blazed a terrifying blue.
Sukuna stopped kissing your neck instantly, but he didn't let go of you, keeping his arm clamped around your waist as he turned his head.
"What the fuck are you doing in her bathroom, Satoru?" Sukuna growled.
"I should ask you the same thing," Gojo shot back, taking an aggressive step forward. "Your pathetic temper is the exact reason she's sitting here with a bruised face."
Sukuna’s grip on your waist tightened, a brief flicker of defensive shock crossing his face before his possessive side took over entirely. He brought his hands back up to your face, trying to drown out Gojo’s presence.
"Hey, you believe me, right?" Sukuna muttered, his rough voice urgent. "I told you, I didn't know it was you. If I knew you were the one working the sidelines, I would never have laid a hand on you. I'll fix it, just don't listen to a word he says."
"Oh, great apology, Ryomen! Very comforting!" Gojo scoffed sarcastically, stepping right into your personal space and reaching out to touch your bare shoulder, trying to pull your attention away.
Gojo's voice softened, full of pleading comfort as he looked into your eyes. "You don't have to put up with his tantrums just because he's your biggest buyer. Everyone on this campus loves you. You're the favorite plug here, you don't need him. Let me take care of you. I'll buy out whatever stash you have right now if it means you don't have to deal with his chaotic bullshit."
You stood trapped between the two giant athletes, clutching your damp white towel tightly to your chest, your head spinning as they completely ran over each other trying to win you over.
"Shut up! Just... both of you, shut up!" you groaned, pressing the heels of your hands to your temples. "My head is pounding and I can't deal with this macho drama right now. I need some quiet."
The sharp edge in your voice cut through the thick tension instantly. Gojo, eager to prove he was the attentive choice, deflated immediately, his blue eyes filling with frantic concern.
"Wait, sweetheart, I’m sorry. Let me get you some ice."
"No, it's fine," you muttered, exhausted. "There's a bag of frozen peas in my mini-fridge. Just use that."
Gojo didn't need to be told twice. He rushed over to the small appliance, grabbing the frozen bag and quickly wrapping it in a clean paper towel from your desk.
While Gojo was occupied, Sukuna's dark eyes tracked your every movement. His fury hadn't vanished, but seeing you look so genuinely drained shifted something inside him. He didn't say a word as Gojo marched back over, gently guiding you by the elbow to sit down on the edge of your mattress.
Gojo sank onto his knees right in front of you, bringing himself down to your eye level. With an incredibly steady, careful hand, he raised the makeshift cold compress and gently pressed it against your marred cheekbone.
The freezing contrast against your flushed, heated skin made you let out a soft sigh, your eyes fluttering shut.
"Is that okay?" Gojo murmured, his voice dropping into a low, breathless register meant just for you. "Not too much pressure?"
You just nodded, too tired to speak.
Sukuna watched the display, his jaw clenching so hard a muscle violently ticked. He utterly refused to be left out, refused to let the quarterback play the sole caretaker when he was the one who had caused the bruise in the first place.
Stepping up to the other side of the bed, Sukuna sat down heavily beside you. The mattress dipped significantly under his massive weight.
Before you could even open your eyes, his large, heavily tattooed hands slid up to the base of your neck and spread flat across your shoulders.
You stiffened slightly, but Sukuna’s touch surprised you. His palms were radiating a thick, intoxicating warmth that immediately began to soothe your shivering, towel-clad body.
Slowly, deliberately, his long fingers began to dig into the tight muscles of your shoulders, kneading away the stress with a heavy, stubborn gentleness.
Gojo’s eyes snapped up, glaring daggers at the team captain over the ice pack. Sukuna didn't even bother looking back at him, his dark gaze locked entirely on the column of your throat as his thumbs stroked the nape of your neck, silently staking his claim.
Slowly, the shouting match completely died out. The petty arguments and athletic rivalries faded into the background, replaced entirely by the heavy, quiet sound of their breathing and the thick, suffocating heat filling the small dorm room.
Neither of them was willing to back down, but the violence had morphed into an intense, silent competition of touch.
Gojo’s gaze darkened as he watched Sukuna’s hands working over your shoulders. Refusing to lose ground, Gojo reached out with his free hand. His long, pale fingers slid down to your lap, gently enveloping your small hand and lifting it away from your towel.
You looked down, your breath hitching as Gojo brought your hand up to his plush lips. He didn't take his eyes off yours as he pressed a slow, lingering kiss directly against your knuckles. A sharp shiver shot straight down your spine.
Gojo’s lips parted slightly, tracing a path of soft, damp heat as he began trailing slow kisses down the length of your fingers. He turned your hand over, pressing a firm, heavy kiss into the center of your palm, his thumb tracing the sensitive skin of your wrist.
Sukuna’s hands stopped their rhythmic massaging for a fraction of a second, his grip tightening possessively on your shoulders as he watched Gojo's mouth move against your skin. A low, warning rumble vibrated deep in Sukuna's chest, but he didn't pull you away.
Instead, he leaned closer, his hot breath fanning against your unbruised ear as his lips brushed tentatively against the side of your neck, his touch turning hungrier, heavier.
Gojo ignored the captain’s growl, entirely focused on the intoxicating reaction he was pulling from you. His lips moved higher, dragging slow, devastatingly sweet kisses up your forearm, his fingers lingering tightly around your wrist as his mouth tracked all the way up to the soft skin of your inner elbow.
The heavy, suffocating silence in the room only magnified the intense, competitive heat building between the three of you. The petty arguments about football, play calls and who your favorite buyer was had completely evaporated, replaced by a much more dangerous, silent battle for dominance.
Gojo’s lips didn't stop their agonizingly slow journey. After lingering at your inner elbow, his mouth tracked higher, pressing warm, deliberate kisses against the soft skin of your upper arm.
His electric blue eyes never left yours, burning with a possessive intensity that made it clear he wasn't planning on letting Sukuna outdo him.
He moved with a heavy, stubborn gentleness, his long fingers anchoring your wrist in place while his lips finally reached the curve of your shoulder, his fingers brushing right against the edge of your white towel.
You let out a soft, shaky breath, your knees feeling entirely weak even while sitting on the edge of the mattress.
Sukuna’s jaw tightened, his dark eyes tracking Gojo’s mouth on your skin with an expression of pure, unadulterated envy. Refusing to let the quarterback take complete control, Sukuna’s massive hands shifted from your shoulders.
One large, tattooed palm slid down the center of your back, his fingers splaying wide against your spine to pull your body flush against his broad chest, while his other hand came up to cup your jawline, his thumb carefully avoiding your bruised cheekbone but tilting your face up toward him.
"Look at me, baby," Sukuna murmured, his voice a low, gravelly vibration that rattled right through your chest.
When you looked up at him, his dark eyes were heavy with an intoxicating mix of guilt and possessiveness. He leaned down, his lips brushing tentatively against yours once, twice, before he completely consumed your mouth in a deep, slow, incredibly commanding kiss.
It wasn't the rough and demanding kiss he usually gave you after a late night drop off, it was heavy, thick with a quiet apology he refused to say out loud, his tongue sliding against yours to assert his claim.
Caught completely in the middle, you whimpered against Sukuna’s lips, your fingers tightening in the fabric of Gojo's damp athletic shirt as the quarterback's mouth simultaneously moved to the sensitive skin of your neck.
Gojo started to trail kisses down until his finger got dangerously close to ripping the towel off.
You pulled back from the kiss with a wet pop and gasped, looking at Gojo who was staring right back at you, giving you more than enough time to stop him and pull away but you didn't.
Gojo slowly tugged at the towel as if unwrapping a gift and the cold air of the room had your nipples hardening just like both of the guys and their bulge.
Gojo let out a shaky sigh as he gently cups your underbreast and he places a soft kiss on the nipple once before making out with it. Suckling and licking on the bud as if he expected milk to squirt out.
You whimpered softly "Mh~" your brows pinched togehter as Sukuna holds the side of your neck gently but firmly as he licks the shell of your ear and travels his other hand down your body.
His large palm gives your breast a tight squeeze before slipping down to your inner thigh,

@patroclus-is-the-bigger-person @b4rty-r0s13r-w1ll-fck-y0ur-m0m @cuntyteardrop @glassesgirlies @leninthestarlight @bardorsomethinglikethat anyone else who wanna join tbh yay
When I tell you I have NO CLUE how I got this, I mean almost every time I open Tumblr I think "How did you even get that username?" and every time my answer is "uhhhh, fuck if I know." In conclusion, either, there is no lore, or there's some batshit crazy lore so insane it involves some kind of memory wipe.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, but that's all I got.
my username was taken from a song. It's taken from Oleander by Mother Mother which I really like but was obsessed with for a bit. Its specifically meant to reference the lyrics from the chorus:
"Like an oleander
White, white leaves
Of an oleander
White like me"
Which has a double meaning because all parts of the oleander plant are toxic, so im calling myself poisonous as a way to be self-deprecating and imply that I shouldn't be around others. The other meaning is that, I am a ginger, and as a consequence of this, I am very, very pale. I've met literally one person who was as pale as me, so my username is also me making fun of myself for looking sickly pale my entire life.
My username is what it is because I read The Extraordinaries, and the main character used this username on Tumblr. I liked it so much that I decided to use it too
uhh i dont actually remember, i think i just randomly thought of it one day. Knowing me it was probably targeted to an ex-friend lol .. anyway

Exam stress leads to a late night horny decision. Everything is going great, until the guy in the video starts sounding a little too familiar
part 2 here!
CW: NSFW. Masturbation. Watching porn.
cr: 3vangel1ne_ on X
You were sprawled on your bed, laptop glowing in the dark dorm room, fingers lazily scrolling through video after video.
It was one of those nights—stress from exams, and a long day of pretending not to stare at that tall, white-haired nerd from your chemistry class who always claimed the front row. The one with the quiet voice who answered questions with effortless precision while wearing the same white oversized hoodie every class.
The hoodie that somehow made his broad shoulders look even wider, the fabric hanging loose on his lean frame. You had spent far too many lectures tracing the strange structural formula printed across its back with your eyes, wondering what molecule it represented and why it suited him so perfectly.
The memory of him leaning over to borrow your notes earlier that day, offering that soft, shy smile, had lingered. Combined with the crushing stress of exams, it naturally led you to a late-night horniness that had you deep in the tags until one thumbnail catched your eye. A lean, pale torso filled the frame, a large hand wrapped around an absolutely obscene cock. The title was simple: “Needy boy whimpering.”
Below it, the description read: If you want more content, please consider subscribing. I’m a broke uni student 🙏🏻 Thank you!
You smiled faintly. It sounded so polite, almost shy, despite the filthy image attached to it. Without thinking twice, you clicked.
The video opened in a dimly lit room. The guy was already flushed, sitting on the edge of a messy bed with his long legs spread wide. His face remained carefully out of frame, but the camera angle gave a perfect, shameless view of his toned body. His abs were faintly defined, his skin glowing with a light sheen of sweat. One large hand was slowly stroking his thick, veiny length, the head flushed dark and already leaking precum that caught the low light with every lazy pass of his fingers.
A soft, breathy whimper floated through your headphones as his thumb circled the tip.
“F-fuck… ahh—”
Your breath hitched. That voice. Sweet, boyish, and trembling with need. It sounded painfully familiar, the same voice you had heard muttering answers under his breath during lectures.
No. You were imagining it. You had to be. You were just that desperately horny.
Pushing the thought aside, your hand slipped beneath the waistband of your panties, fingers gliding over your already soaked folds. On screen, his long fingers tightened around his cock, stroking a little faster. Another broken whimper escaped him, higher this time, sending a sharp throb straight to your clit. You circled the sensitive bud in time with his rhythm, thighs trembling as heat pooled low in your belly.
You pushed two fingers inside yourself, curling them just right, eyes never leaving the screen. His breathing grew ragged. The wet, obscene sounds of his hand moving along his slick cock filled your ears, filthy and addictive.
The camera shifted slightly as he adjusted his position. Your gaze drifted for a moment over the background, taking in the cluttered desk, the scattered notebooks. And then—
Your fingers stilled.
Draped casually over the back of his chair, right in the corner of the frame, was a white oversized hoodie. And there, clearly visible even in the low lighting, was the distinctive structural formula printed across the back — the strange, intricate molecule you had stared at countless times during morning lectures.
It was him.
Satoru Gojo.
The quiet, annoyingly hot chemistry nerd who always borrowed your notes with that shy boyish smile, and thanked you in that soft voice that now whimpered so prettily for the camera.
The realization crashed over you like lightning. A loud, broken moan tore from your throat as your fingers resumed their frantic pace, pumping harder, your thumb pressing desperately against your swollen clit. On screen, a high-pitched, needy whimper spilled from his lips as his hips bucked into his fist.
“Mmnh—gonna cum… fuck, I’m so close—”
His voice cracked on the last word, just like it always did when he laughed nervously in class. You imagined him sitting there, stroking himself stupid, his pretty glasses perhaps fogged up from the heat of his own pleasure. The thought made your head spin.
Your thumb pressed hard on your clit, the coil in your belly tightening unbearably.
On screen, Satoru’s abs flexed, his thighs shaking. Thick ropes of cum shoot across his stomach and chest as he kept pumping through his orgasm, whimpering softly with each spurt.
You came hard at the same time, back arching off the bed, a broken cry leaving your lips as your pussy clenched around your fingers. The orgasm dragged on, wave after wave of intense pleasure washing over you while you watched him pant, breathless and flushed, lazily smearing the mess over his skin.
When the video finally ended, you lay there in the dark, chest heaving, heart hammering against your ribs. The image of that white, oversized hoodie with the weird structural formula lingered behind your closed eyelids.
Tomorrow in class, when Satoru slid into his usual seat you weren’t sure you’d be able to look at him without getting wet all over again.
Or without wondering how much prettier those whimpers would sound in real life.

Soulmate AU
Words - 6,100
The atmosphere in the private high-rise lounge of the Tokyo Jujutsu Technical College was thick with the scent of expensive incense and the low, buzzing hum of Satoru’s Infinity.
Suguru doesn’t look up when Satoru walks in. He already knows it’s him.
“You’re late,” Suguru says, voice even, eyes still on the city stretched out below.
Satoru scoffs, dropping onto the couch like he owns the room.
“I’m never late. Everyone else is just early.” Suguru turns slightly, just enough to glance at him.
“You kept me waiting.”
Satoru grins.
“Yeah?” he says lazily. “Did you miss me?” Suguru doesn’t smile.
But his gaze lingers.
“You’re irritating,” he replies.
“Mm,” Satoru hums, stretching his arms behind his head. “You say that like it’s a bad thing.”
Silence settles, but it’s not empty. It never is with them. Suguru finally moves, crossing the room with slow, deliberate steps. He stops in front of Satoru,Too close for anyone else.
Exactly right for them. “Your control is slipping,” Suguru says quietly.
Satoru’s grin sharpens.
“Is it?”
Suguru’s eyes flick briefly toward the faint distortion in the air, the subtle warping of space where Infinity hums just a little louder than necessary. “You’re restless.”
Satoru tilts his head.
“Maybe I’m bored.” Suguru’s gaze drops to Satoru’s wrist, the ink there is dark.
Permanent.
Unmistakable.
Geto Suguru. His own wrist burns faintly in response.
Not pain.
Recognition.
“You don’t get bored,” Suguru says.
Satoru’s expression flickers, just slightly.
Enough for Suguru to notice. “Everything else does,” Satoru corrects.
Suguru reaches out.
His fingers wrap around Satoru’s wrist without hesitation.
Without permission.
He never needs it. The moment skin meets skin that same sharp, electric pulse.
Familiar.
Grounding.
Satoru exhales slowly.
“…There it is.” Suguru’s grip tightens just a fraction.
“You’re drifting again.” Satoru looks up at him through lowered lashes, something unreadable settling behind his usual arrogance.
“And you’re pulling me back?” he asks. Suguru doesn’t let go.
“Someone has to,” he says. Satoru laughs softly, but there’s no real humor in it.
“Careful,” he murmurs. “Sounds like you need me.”
Suguru finally meets his gaze fully.
Steady.
Unwavering.
“I do.” The words land heavier than anything else in the room.
Satoru stills.
Just for a second. Then his grin returns, but slower this time. Sharper.
“Good,” he says. Suguru releases his wrist and the absence lingers.
Like a missing weight. “They’ll start noticing,” Suguru says after a moment. Satoru leans forward slightly.
“Let them.”
“You’re not subtle.”
“I’m not trying to be. Youn know troubles my middle name”
A pause. Suguru studies him.
Then—
“What did you do this time?”
Satoru’s smile widens.
Too pleased. “Nothing,” he says.
Suguru raises a brow.
“…Yet.”
Suguru exhales quietly, turning away again.
“You’re going to make a mess.” Satoru stands this time.
Steps closer. “I always do.”
“Doesn’t matter,” Satoru adds. “You’ll clean it up anyway.” Suguru glances back over his shoulder.
A small, knowing smile.
“Of course I will.”
Because that’s how it works.
Not balance.
Not equality.
A closed circuit.
One pulls.
One steadies.
Satoru and Suguru were a closed circuit. They had been since the day their skin first brushed in a crowded hallway during their first year the sharp, electric sting on their wrists followed by the black ink of each other's names blooming like a brand. Gojo Satoru on Suguru’s right wrist; Geto Suguru on Satoru’s left. It was a divine decree. They were the strongest, and they belonged to each other.
Until the Tuesday that tasted like copper and betrayal.
Suguru was mid-sentence, reaching for a porcelain teapot, when a sensation like a hot needle dragged across the underside of his left wrist. He hissed, the teapot shattering against the low table.
"Suguru?" Satoru was on his feet instantly, his blindfold pushed up, his Six Eyes scanning the room for a threat that wasn't there. "What happened? An attack?"
Suguru didn't answer. He was staring at his left wrist. Directly opposite the soulmate mark he shared with Satoru, a new line of script was rising through the skin. It wasn't the clean, bold ink of Satoru’s name. This was jagged, weeping a faint, translucent gold the sign of a Second Link. A rarity. A glitch in the universe.
Your name was etching itself into his marrow.
"I didn't touch anyone," Suguru whispered, his face going ghostly pale. "Satoru, I haven't left the room in four hours. I haven't... I don't even know who this is."
The cruelty of a Second Link was the "Passive Contact." Most soulmates required a touch to activate the mark, but for someone as powerful as the Twin Stars of Jujutsu, the universe sometimes skipped the formalities. Somewhere on campus, you had walked past a door he was behind or on a mission. You had breathed the same air. And the tether had snapped shut.
Satoru leaned over, his fingers gripping Suguru’s arm with a strength that would have crushed a normal man. He stared at your name. His jaw tightened, the air in the room beginning to vibrate with the sheer pressure of his Cursed Energy.
"A third," Satoru breathed, his voice devoid of its usual playfulness. It was hollow, dark, and predatory. "Someone thinks they can wedge themselves between us, Suguru."
"I don't even remember seeing them," Suguru said, his thumb brushing over your name. As he touched it, a wave of your emotions flooded him—loneliness, a quiet hunger for coffee, the slight chill of the hallway. It was nauseatingly intimate. "But I can feel them now. They’re... soft."
The atmosphere in the High-Rise suite didn’t just change; it curdled.
Satoru had been watching the gold script etch itself into Suguru’s left wrist with a detached, clinical fascination, a predator watching a new rival enter the territory. But then, the air in the room didn't just vibrate; it shattered.
Satoru let out a strangled, jagged sound, his right hand flying to his own left wrist, clutching it so hard the skin turned deathly white.
"Satoru?" Suguru’s voice was sharp, his own pain forgotten as he reached out.
Satoru didn’t answer. He ripped his hand away, baring his skin. There, directly parallel to the heavy black ink of Geto Suguru, a new name was burning its way into his flesh. It wasn't gold. For Satoru, the "Limitless" sorcerer, the mark was a violent, electric violet. It thrummed with a frequency that bypassed his Infinity, sinking straight into his nervous system.
Your name. Identical to the one on Suguru but on his right wrist.
The silence that followed was louder than an explosion. They stood in the center of the room, two gods suddenly tethered to a ghost. The "Closed Circuit" had been breached. The perfect binary of their existence had been forced into a trinity, and the sheer need that flooded them was instantaneous and total.
"It’s the same," Satoru whispered, his voice cracking, his Six Eyes dilated until the blue was almost swallowed by black. "Suguru, it’s the same name. They’re ours."
He wasn't just talking about a soulmate. He was talking about a missing piece of a weapon. As the marks finalized, a psychic bridge snapped open. They felt your heartbeat. Something they never even knew was missing.
For Gojo and Geto, the strongest who lived in a world of their own making, the "hole" was the isolation of their own ascension. They had spent years viewing the world from a height where no one else could breathe, mistaking the cold of the summit for a natural state of being. They were two halves of a whole who believed their circle was closed, their stillness absolute.
Then, your name appeared—a third ink-stain on the skin of their wrists, a rhythmic, phantom pulse under their own.
For Gojo, it is the sudden, violent shattering of the "Infinity" he keeps between himself and the world. He has spent his life seeing everything with his Six Eyes but feeling very little. To suddenly feel a third heart beating against his own ribs, someone who isn't Geto, someone he hasn't even fully met, who he doesn’t remember is like the first time he ever felt the bite of a blade. It is a resonance that bypasses his technique entirely. He realizes that for all his godhood, he has been a ghost haunting his own life, waiting for a frequency he didn’t know he was tuned to.
For Geto, it is an even more terrifying revelation. He is a man who swallowed the rot of the world to protect it, thinking his burden was shared only by Satoru. To feel the steady, unknowing pulse of a soulmate is to realize that the room he thought was full of only duty and blood actually had a door he never tried to open. It is the "ancient desire" finally being named: the need not just to be understood by a peer, but to be anchored by a third point, turning their fragile line into a stable foundation.
They look at their wrists, then at each other, and the realization is starving: they have been the strongest duo in history, yet they were both dying of a thirst they only just recognized.
The pain wasn't a pinch. For you, it was an absolute, white-hot evisceration of your senses.
You were tucked away in the back of the library, the quietest corner of Jujutsu High, when your right wrist suddenly felt like it had been dipped in molten lead. A scream died in your throat, stifled by the sudden, overwhelming pressure of two distinct, warring energies slamming into your soul. You clutched your arm, gasping for air as the skin bubbled and wept, the ink forcing its way up from the bone.
When the smoke cleared from your vision, you stared down at your skin in pure, unadulterated horror.
Gojo Satoru. Geto Suguru.
The names were etched in a shimmering, violent violet and a deep, pulsing gold. They sat side-by-side, occupying your skin with a terrifying arrogance. You weren't just a soulmate; you were a bridge. A third point in a triangle that was never meant to have one.
The Instinct to Hide was immediate.
You didn't feel chosen. You felt scared.
Everyone knew what they were. The Twin Stars. The pinnacle of the sorcery world. They were gods walking among mortals, and you? You were a Grade 4 anomaly, a "Shield" whose only talent was making yourself small and invisible. Your technique, Iron seclusion, allowed you to wrap a force field around your physical form so dense that even Cursed Energy struggled to permeate it. Coupled with your abnormal regenerative healing, you were the perfect survivor, but you were never meant to be a prize.
"No," you whispered, the word trembling in the stagnant library air. "Not them. Anyone but them."
You knew their reputations. Satoru was a void that consumed everything he touched; Suguru was a shadow that swallowed the world whole. To be tied to them wasn't a romance, it was an invitation to be erased.
The memory of your mother’s voice usually feels like a silk ribbon smooth, cooling, and easy to hold. But now, with the names Satoru and Suguru searing into your pulse, her words feel like a cruel irony, a fairy tale told to a child who was never meant to see the monster under the bed.
"A soulmate isn't just a partner, sweetheart," she had said, her fingers tracing the blank, expectant skin of your wrist while you were small. "They are the anchor to your storm. The world is loud and frightening for people like us, but when that name appears, the noise stops. It’s like finally finding the North Star after being lost at sea."
You remember the way she looked at your father a quiet, Grade 3 sorcerer with a softness that made the harshness of their profession disappear.
"It’s unconditional," she whispered, her eyes bright with a certainty you now find terrifying. "They won't just see your strength; they will cherish your shadows. They are the only ones who will truly let you thrive because they are the only ones who will truly know you. It is the greatest blessing the heavens can grant a sorcerer: to never truly be alone again."
In the suffocating silence of the library, you look at the violet and gold script. Her "North Star" was a gentle light; yours are two supernovas that threaten to incinerate everything you are. To your mother, a soulmate was a sanctuary. To you, looking at the names of the two most powerful, volatile men in existence, it feels like a sentence.
The First Pulse
Suddenly, a jolt of pure, manic need surged through your wrist. It wasn't your own. It was a projection a jagged, starving hunger that felt like a cold hand reaching through your chest.
They knew.
The psychic bridge had snapped open the moment the ink dried. They were feeling your heartbeat, your fear, the very scent of the old paper surrounding you. You could feel them, too two massive, celestial bodies suddenly pivoting in your direction, their intent so heavy it felt like the gravity in the library had doubled.
You scrambled to your feet, your heart hammering against your ribs like a trapped bird. You had to go. You had to bury yourself so deep in your own technique that even the Six Eyes couldn't find the shimmer of your soul.
You wrap your fingers around your wrist, activating Iron Seclusion. The barrier snaps into place, a cold, dense weight that mimics the "stillness" you've lived in for years. You try to drown out the sudden, rhythmic double-thrum of their hearts against your own, desperate to believe that if you hide well enough, even the "blessing" of heaven won't be able to find you.
You pushed your Cursed Energy to its limit, pulling the invisible veil of your shield tight against your skin. Usually, your shield was a defensive bubble, but now you collapsed it inward, using it to mask your heat, your scent, and your energy signature. You became a black hole in the sensory world, a static-filled void.
You sprinted for the back exit, avoiding the main halls where the high-ranking students loitered. You didn't have classes with them, you were beneath their notice, a support-track student who spent her days healing minor bruises and reinforcing training barriers. You belonged in the background. You needed to stay in the background.
The library didn't just go quiet, it went dead.
For Satoru and Suguru, the sensation was like being plunged into an abyss. One second, the psychic bridge was a roaring torrent of your fear, your heat, and the frantic rhythm of your heart. It was the most intoxicating thing they had ever felt, a divine frequency that harmonized their own clashing powers.
And then, it was gone.
No heartbeat. No scent. No emotional residue. Even the violet and gold marks on their wrists, which had been glowing with a feverish light, suddenly turned a dull, matte grey. They didn't disappear, the ink was still there, but the life was gone.
"Satoru?" Suguru’s voice was a ragged whisper. He was clutching his left wrist, his breath coming in shallow, panicked hitches. "I can't... I can't feel them."
Satoru was standing in the middle of the hallway, his Six Eyes darting frantically, scanning every atom of the air.
His Infinity was flickering, reacting to the sudden, violent spike in his blood pressure. "They didn't die," he spat, his voice trembling with a mix of fury and genuine terror. "People don't just die and leave no soul residue. They vanished. They’re still here, Suguru. Somewhere in this building... but they’re gone."
In the basement levels, you were curled into a ball behind a stack of rusted training equipment, your hands clamped over your mouth.
Your ability wasn't just a shield anymore; it was a sarcophagus. You had collapsed the force field so tightly against your skin that it was effectively acting as a second dermis, a layer of "non-existence" that blocked every signal your body produced. No heat signatures for Gojo’s Six Eyes. No cursed energy leaks for Geto’s spirits to track.
But the cost was agonizing.
To keep the Shell up 24/7 meant your Cursed Energy was constantly recycling, a closed loop that left you feeling cold, lightheaded, and perpetually exhausted. Your abnormal healing was the only thing keeping your organs from failing under the pressure of the constant reinforcement.
You just had to make it to graduation.
The campus of Tokyo Jujutsu High had become a graveyard of nerves. Without the stabilizing influence of their soulmate bond, Gojo and Geto hadn't just become restless—they had become volatile.
The training grounds felt like a pressure cooker on the verge of exploding. The air was thick with Satoru’s unrefined Cursed Energy, snapping like static electricity against the stone. You pressed your back against the cold wood of the pagoda, your iron seclusion vibrating so hard it made your collarbone ache. You were a ghost, a glitch, a nothingness—but seeing them like this, seeing the "protectors" of the school unravel into something so fundamentally cruel, made the papers in your hand feel like a death warrant.
Satoru didn’t look like the untouchable god of Jujutsu High anymore. He looked like a man starving in a room full of plastic fruit. He grabbed the younger student by the collar, hoisting him up until the boy’s toes barely grazed the dirt.
"Think harder," Satoru hissed, his voice low and jagged. "The library. That Tuesday. Who ran? Who left in a hurry? I don't care if they were a Grade 1 or a window washer—who moved like they were terrified of being seen?"
"N-nobody, Gojo-senpai!" the boy stammered, tears tracking through the dust on his cheeks. "It was just the usual crowd... I didn't see anyone run. It was quiet. It was just quiet!"
Satoru’s grip tightened, his knuckles white. "Impossible. Someone walked past us. Someone took the air out of the room and then just... vanished." He dropped the boy, spinning around to face Geto, his movements twitchy and erratic. "Suguru, he’s useless. They're all useless. How can someone be so close I can feel their pulse under my skin one second, and then be absolutely invisible the next?"
Geto didn't offer a comforting word. He didn't even look at Satoru. He was staring at the palm of his left hand, tracing the grey, lifeless name of yours that sat like a scar on his wrist. The refined elegance he usually carried replaced by a cold, predatory stillness.
"Maybe they didn't run," Geto murmured, his voice sounding like a blade sliding over silk. He stepped toward the trembling student, his shadow stretching out like a many-limbed monster. "Maybe they're still here. Watching us. Hiding in plain sight while we rot."
He knelt beside the boy, his hand reaching out to brush a stray tear from the kid's face with a tenderness that was far more terrifying than Satoru’s rage. "Tell me, Kohai... have you noticed anyone lately who seems a bit too quiet? Someone who doesn't talk, doesn't eat, just... exists in the corners?"
"I... I don't know everyone's names, Geto-san," the boy whispered, trembling. "Please, I just want to go to my dorm."
Geto’s expression didn't change, but the air around him darkened. "Go then. But if you remember a face even a blur in the hallway you come to us first. Because if Satoru loses his patience before I find them... there won't be a dorm left for you to return to."
You didn't wait to see the boy scramble away. You turned and moved, a silent shadow within the shadows. Every step felt like walking through deep water; iron seclusion was draining you, pulling from your very life force to keep your presence at zero.
"They're looking for a ghost," you breathed, your lips barely moving behind the veil of your technique. You looked down at your wrist, where the names burned like brands under the heavy bandages. "They can't find what isn't there."
The encounter happens in the open air, where there is nowhere to hide and the sky feels too wide. You are crossing the training grounds, sticking to the shadows of the eaves, when the
resonance hits so hard it physically staggers you. It’s like a tether snapping taut, pulling your chest toward the center of the courtyard.
They are standing there, the "Twin Stars," looking uncharacteristically frayed. Gojo has his blindfold shoved up, his Six Eyes scanning the air with a frantic, electrified energy. Geto has his hand clamped over his right wrist, his knuckles white, his usual composure replaced by a raw, searching hunger.
You keep your head down, clutching your books to your chest, and try to scuttle past like a ghost. You wrap Iron Seclusion around yourself so tightly it feels like wearing a lead suit, desperate to dampen the "scream" of your soul.
"Hey. You."
Gojo’s voice isn't breezy this time. It’s a command. He’s in front of you in a blink, the space between you warping as he forces the world to bring you closer.
You jump, dropping a notebook. "G-Gojo-senpai! Geto-senpai! I’m so sorry, was I in the way?" You scramble to pick up your things, keeping your marked wrist pressed firmly against your stomach.
"Did you see anyone else come through here?" Geto asks, his voice tight. He’s looking right at you, but he’s looking through you, searching for a "strong" sorcerer, someone who could possibly match the violent power he feels thrumming in his own veins. "Someone... significant?"
"Significant?" You blink, widening your eyes in a mask of dull, Grade 4 confusion. "I—I didn't see anyone. Just the usual cursed spirits near the gate. Is everything okay? You both look... a bit pale."
Gojo leans down, his face inches from yours. He’s trying to read your flow of Cursed Energy, but Iron Seclusion makes you look like a flat, grey stone in a river of light. "My head is ringing," he mutters, more to Geto than to you. "The frequency is right here, Suguru. It’s deafening."
"Maybe it's the heat?" you suggest, your voice small and trembling with perfectly faked intimidation. "The sun is really bright today. I get migraines sometimes too. Should I go get Shoko-san for you?"
Geto sighs, a sound of pure frustration, and rubs his temples. To him, you are just a flickering candle, and he is looking for a second sun. "No. Just go back to class."
"Yes, senpai! Sorry to bother you!"
You bow low and practically bolt, your heart hammering a frantic SOS that you know they can feel, even if they haven't realized yet that the "insignificant" girl is the one holding the other end of the chain.
The Department Head’s office is stifling, smelling of old paper and incense, but to you, it feels like an interrogation room. You keep your right hand buried in the pocket of your blazer, your thumb obsessively rubbing the spot where Satoru and Suguru are etched into your skin.
The Department Head a gray-haired, bureaucratic sorcerer who cared more for quotas than souls—had looked at your transfer papers with a bored flick of his wrist.
"A transfer?" The official doesn't even look up from the papers. He sounds bored, which is exactly what you want. "To the Kyoto branch? "
“yes," you say, your voice a practiced, dull monotone. "My technique, Iron Seclusion... it’s not suited for the front lines. I’m just a Grade 4. I think I’d be more useful with the logistics team there."
The man sighs, finally marking a thick red line through a document. "The higher-ups don't like moving pieces mid-semester. If you want out of the active rotation, you have to fulfill the minimum requirement for the quarter. Three more missions. Complete them, and I’ll sign the papers."
A surge of pure, unadulterated relief washes over you. You almost want to thank him.
Three missions. That was it. That was the price of your life.
As you walk out into the hallway, your heart is light for the first time since the names appeared. You’ve done the math. The school is a machine of logic and hierarchy. They would never pair a Grade 4 anomaly with the Special Grade duo. It would be a waste of their time and a death sentence for yours. To the school, you are a pebble; to them, they are the mountain. There is no reason for your orbits to ever cross again.
You check your phone. The notification for your first mission has already arrived.
Location: An abandoned textile factory in the outskirts of Saitama.
Grade: 4 (Low-level fly-heads and lingering shadows).
Assigned Sorcerer: [Name].
You are alone.
A small, giddy laugh bubbles up in your chest. No Gojo. No Geto. Just you, your "useless" shield, and a few weak curses. You can do this. You’ll be invisible, just like you’ve always been. You’ll finish these three jobs, get your transfer, and disappear into a cubicle in Kyoto where the violet and gold on your wrist can stay buried under long sleeves forever.
As you walked back to your dorm to pack your tactical gear for the first solo mission, you looked at the grey, silent marks on your wrist. For the first time, they didn't look like shackles; they looked like a bad dream you were finally waking up from.
"Just three," you whispered, your thumb tracing the edge of the bandage. "They won't even notice I'm gone until the bus crosses the prefectural line."
The mission was a joke. Three minor curses, a few sweeps of your Iron Seclusion to crush them against the concrete, and you were done in thirty minutes flat. You practically floated back to the dorms. One down. Two more, and you’d be a ghost in Kyoto, safe from the two suns that threatened to burn your world down.
The "best feeling ever" was a dangerous drug. You were so buzzed on your own relief that you didn't notice the resonance in your chest smoothing out into a low, contented huma purr that wasn't yours, but theirs.
You stepped into the common room, intent on grabbing a soda and vanishing, when you saw him.
Suguru Geto was draped over a sofa, a book open in his lap, but he wasn't reading. He was people-watching, his dark eyes tracking every student that walked by with a clinical, almost desperate intensity. He looked like a man trying to solve a puzzle with half the pieces missing.
You stiffened, your "Shield" snapping into place instinctively. You kept your head down, your gait deliberate and heavy, trying to look as "Grade 4" as possible. You steered a wide, awkward arc around the couch, heading for the vending machine.
Don’t look. Don’t breathe. Just stay invisible.
"You're back early."
The voice was like silk sliding over a blade. You froze, your hand halfway to the coin slot. You didn't turn around. Maybe he was talking to someone else.
"The girl with the barrier technique," Geto continued, his voice tilting upward with a hint of genuine curiosity. "I don't think I caught your name the other day."
You slowly turned, your face a mask of wide-eyed, stuttering surprise. "O-Oh! Me? I’m... nobody, really. Just finishing a low-level sweep. I didn't think a Special Grade like you would notice someone like me, Geto-senpai."
Geto closed his book, leaning forward. His right hand—the one with your name—was resting on his knee, his fingers twitching in time with your frantic pulse. He looked at you, really looked at you, and for a second, the "ancient desire" flared in his eyes.
"You're very... contained," he mused, his gaze drifting to your covered wrist. "Most sorcerers leak cursed energy like a sieve. But you? You're like a vault. It’s quiet around you. Almost too quiet."
He stood up, the height difference immediately making the room feel smaller. He took a step toward you, his expression softening into something dangerously observant. "Tell me—did you feel anything strange out there? A change in rhythm? A... pulling sensation?"
You forced a self-deprecating, nervous laugh, the kind that made you look small and slightly pathetic. "Oh, Geto-senpai, I’m actually really embarrassed about it. My Iron Seclusion is... well, it’s a bit of a defect. It’s so thick it basically smothers my own senses. I couldn't feel a 'pull' if it hit me with a truck. I’m basically sensory-deprived whenever I use it."
Geto’s expression flickered—a flash of pity, perhaps, or just the disappointment of another dead end. He sighed, the tension in his shoulders dropping. "I see. A defensive trade-off. That must be frustrating."
"It’s why I’m better suited for paperwork," you chirped, bowing quickly and scurrying away before he could ask anything else. You didn't stop running until you were behind your locked dorm door, clutching your wrist as if the names might leap off your skin.
The next week was blissfully quiet. You stayed under the radar, wore oversized hoodies, and successfully avoided the 'Twin Stars' by memorizing their training schedules. You were a ghost. A phantom. You were winning.
Then, the ping of a new mission notification hit your phone.
Location: Subterranean transit tunnels, Shinjuku.
Grade: 2 (Multiple sightings of high-output territorial curses).
Assigned Sorcerers: [You] & Kento Nanami.
Your heart did a strange little flip. Nanami. He was a Grade 1, stoic, professional, and most importantly not a soulmate. He wasn't one of the 'strongest' who moved like a whirlwind; he was a man who clocked in, did his job with surgical precision, and went home.
"Two out of three," you whispered to the empty room, a giddy smile breaking across your face.
Being paired with Nanami was the ultimate safety net. He was too disciplined to care about your personal life or your 'flow' of energy. He would expect you to put up your shield, stay out of the way, and let him handle the heavy lifting. To him, you would just be a tool, a 'Shield' to protect the perimeter while he worked the (7:3) ratio.
As you packed your gear, you felt a surge of triumphant joy. You were so close to the exit. You were almost to Kyoto. You were almost free.
You didn't realize that your sudden burst of happiness sent a sharp, intoxicating thrum through the bond. Somewhere in the school, Satoru Gojo tilted his head, a blindfolded grin spreading across his face as he felt a wave of "victory" that wasn't his own.
(Let me just say this while your ability blocks most things, a soulmate's bond is strong so without meaning some strong emotions can still filter through to your partners.)
The subterranean transit tunnels were a labyrinth of damp concrete and oppressive shadows. Nanami moved with his usual mechanical efficiency, his blunt blade finding the 7:3 ratio with every strike. You stayed back, your Iron Seclusion acting as a silent, invisible perimeter that kept the smaller, crawling curses from flanking him.
But the report was wrong. This wasn't a Grade 2 nest; it was a breeding ground for a Special Grade fetus that had begun to distort the very space of the tunnels.
A massive, multi-limbed curse surged from the ceiling, its sheer weight slamming into your barrier with the force of a falling skyscraper. The impact vibrated through your bones, the pressure so intense that for one flickering, agonizing second, your concentration snapped.
Iron Seclusion dropped.
It was only for a minute—maybe even less—as you scrambled back, gasping, and forced the barrier to knit itself back together. You felt exposed, naked, like a nerve ending stripped of its skin. You quickly reinforced the shield, the dense, cold energy snapping back into place, burying your presence once more.
It’s fine, you told yourself, your heart hammering against your ribs. I was only "visible" for a second. We’re deep underground. They’re miles away at the school.
You didn't realize that to a Six Eyes user, a second of your unfiltered soul is like a flare gun going off in a pitch-black room.
Up on the surface, in the middle of a bustling Shinjuku street, Satoru stopped mid-sentence. His blindfold didn't hide the way his head snapped toward the subway entrance, his breath hitching as if he’d just been punched. The "ghost" frequency he’d been chasing had finally, violently, become a signal.
Across town, in the quiet of a temple, Suguru dropped his tea. The phantom pulse on his wrist hadn't just thrummed; it had screamed. For that one minute, the hollow space in his chest had been filled with a terrifying, beautiful warmth—and then, just as quickly, it vanished back into the "stillness."
They both moved instantly, driven by a starving instinct they still didn't understand.
Down in the tunnels, Nanami finished off the curse and adjusted his tie, his expression unreadable behind his goggles. "That was a significant lapse," he said, his voice a calm, dry reprimand. "Are you injured?"
"No," you lied, your voice trembling as you clutched your wrist. "Just... lost my footing. I'm fine, Nanami-san. Let's just finish this. Please."
The subway air was thick with the smell of blood and damp concrete as you emerged, ducking your head and letting Nanami lead the way. You kept your jacket sleeves pulled low, your fingers white-knuckled around your wrists. You felt like a radio tower that had briefly broadcasted a signal to the entire world, and now you were desperately trying to cut the power.
Across the city, in a secluded corner of the Tokyo Jujutsu High courtyard, the two strongest sorcerers met. The air around them was electrified, distorted by the sheer output of their frustration.
Satoru was pacing, his blindfold discarded, his Six Eyes glowing with a manic, crystalline light. He looked like a live wire, sparking at the slightest touch. "It was right there, Suguru. For sixty seconds, it wasn't just a hum. It was a scream. It was loud."
Geto was leaning against a stone pillar, his hands shoved deep into his pockets, his knuckles bruised from where he’d punched a training dummy into splinters. He wasn't smiling. The "gentle" philosopher was gone, replaced by a man who looked starved.
"I felt it too," Geto said, his voice a low, dangerous vibration. "It wasn't a curse, and it wasn't a mistake. It was a soul. Our soul." He looked down at the gold-etched name on his wrist, his thumb tracing the letters with a possessive, aching intensity. "And then it just… went dark. Like someone slammed a door in our faces."
Satoru stopped pacing, turning to face his best friend. The realization hit them both at the same time, a cold, sharp clarity.
"They’re hiding," Satoru breathed, a dark, incredulous laugh bubbling in his throat. "Someone out there belongs to us—the two strongest people on the planet and their first instinct is to bury their presence so deep even I can't track it."
"They don't want to be found," Geto added, his eyes narrowing. The thought didn't just hurt; it offended him. He had spent his life protecting the weak, swallowing rot for a world that didn't love him back, and now the one person meant to be his "anchor" was treating him like a threat. "They’re using a barrier. A dense one. That flicker in the tunnels… they slipped. They lost control for a minute, and now they’ve bolted the door again."
Satoru’s grin turned into something predatory, something ancient. "Let them hide. They can't keep a seal like that up forever. Every time their heart jumps, I feel it. Every time they're scared, I know. We’re going to find our 'Shield,' Suguru. And when we do, I’m going to make sure they never feel the need to close that door again."
They stood there in the fading light, two gods who had finally found a reason to hunt. They weren't looking for a partner anymore; they were looking for a fugitive.
