Hello and Welcome to my little corner of the internet! I hope you're well! I'm Sheri and I'm just a small town geek who loves art and falls in love with fictional characters way too often. ;w; I hope you enjoy your time here!

Some Starter Info About Me:

I am an adult! Won't say my exact age here but I am 25+. :>

I am a Christian (Non-Denom) and this does affect how I write some of my OC's, as well as influence my headcanons for some characters.

I am on the autism spectrum. .3.

I'm an INFJ!

My favorite color is pink and I have a huge soft spot for pretty/soft/feminine aesthetics. But I also enjoy grunge/alt stuff as well.

I am engaged irl to the bestest man and I love him very much. ;w;

I create a mix of Original and CanonxOC focused work but mainly focus on CanonxOC shenanigans admittedly. I also enjoy creating illustrations based on my OC's backstories/lore.

My original projects thus far are the Salvation Saga, Tales of Yamora, and Project NOVA. (Titles pending bc some of them are absolute garbo lmao)

I hop from fandom to fandom constantly and p much just draw whatever strikes my fancy at the moment.

Some of my favorite fictional characters Include Steve Rogers, Clark Kent/Superman, Bruce Wayne/Batman, Logan Howlett, Optimus Prime, and Hellboy.

I collect art books, dolls, figurines/funkos, and plushies! As well as general geeky memorabilia that brings me joy. :>

Carousels and reptiles are a couple of my niche special interests/hobbies.

Some of my fave music genres: Pop/2010's pop, y2k pop, kpop, classic rock, hard rock, metal, country/folk music, edm, gospel, oldies (40's-80's), funk.

Favorite book genres: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Romance, Thrillers/Mysteries, YA, Gothic fiction, classics, Christian Fiction, Historical Fiction

About my work

My OC's are rarely ever 100% canon compliant bc I tend to take HEAVY creative liberties with my characters and their lore, typically just taking the basic setting and concept of a thing and then doing my own thing with whatever ideas I have with that concept. I do like to at least make it plausible for them to fit into the worlds I'm putting them in, but if I am personally happy with where a character is at, I will not change them just bc it doesn't perfectly align with canon. I'd rather prioritize having fun making characters that I like that somehow change or add to the experience in a way that only I can do.

That said, everything I do in regard to fandom/canon characters and events should be taken in a strictly canon-divergent/AU context. I never tend to enjoy forcing myself into a box and strictly following whatever rules canon (or the fandom at large) sets for me, especially if there are aspects that don't sit right or personally make me uncomfortable. Instead, I prefer to just take what I like, leave what I don't, bend the rules a lil bit, and ultimately just do whatever makes me happy. If what does that for me isn't your thing, thats totally ok, but please try to be kind and respectful if alternative routes/perspectives/ideas are used instead of that which is considered canon. I don't mean any disrespect. I'm just having fun and enjoying things in my own way.

I put my characters through HELL ON EARTH and it def gets extremely dark on occasion when I'm writing character backstories so DEFINITELY be aware of that, but I do always make sure to lead them to a satisfying/happy ending. I am extremely hope pilled and almost never leave my characters in extremely dark places bc I personally don't typically vibe with those kinds of endings. It's all going to be okay in the end. And if it isn't okay, it isn't the end.

This one should go without saying, but please do not repost or use/edit my work anywhere. Please do not steal my OC's and claim them as your own. Please do not copy my ideas or take heavy inspo from my work. If it isn't on an official account of mine, it's violating my intellectual property and it isn't okay.

I'm intent on keeping this blog free of discourse and politics bc I find that kind of environment very unhealthy/triggering for me. If any drama happens in places adjacent to me I will be ignoring it and just doing my own thing here.

Idc about differing politics/beliefs as long as mutual respect/kindness is involved. But I am not here to engage in a debate or be bullied/harassed/insulted. Anyone who tries to instigate a fight with me is getting blocked. It's ok to disagree but it's not ok to go after random people w ur dukes up. And I will do what I can to protect my peace.

I guess I just look back on my old s/onic redesigns and wonder where that energy is maybe?? Or like

Classic comparisons where I see other people's redesigns and love them but I feel like I need to do smth different in order to stand out (even tho idk what that would be or how many differing options I really have here tbh pfft)

Maybe it's bc I just haven't redesigned anyone in a while or maybe I need to look up other inspo sources idk.

Ofc Amour didn't heed this and did the thing anyway. She probably told them that she'd be okay and that it wasn't anything serious. She's just having fun and doing normal girl stuff for once in her life! Gotta have at least one off-the-wall relationship on her bingo card! She's not gonna get too attached or anything it'll be fi-

Sh!t. When did her heart start beating like that whenever he walked into the room? Why does she get excited to see him and wanna hug him and shower him with kisses/cuddles all the time? Why does she catch herself staring at him and smiling mid-conversation now? Why does she want to help him get better and actually be a legit good girlfriend? She's in too deep fellas. She thinks she can fix him with the power of love and affection.

Well don't worry. If anything bad happens or if she starts to feel unwell, she knows who she can go to for support. :> It'll still be okay!

Thankfully she got herself out before it could get to a point of no return, but like.

I'm sure abstraction was something Amour came close to once or twice or at least saw on the horizon after a while. And even with Amour basically treating the circus like college spring break during her "I'm finally free and can do whatever I want" phase, she can only take it so far before she realizes she can't help him or love him if he isn't ready to accept it and staying is not gonna help her in any way.

What drew you in?

Honestly valid lol. He's def not who I would have pegged as a fav for myself either (in fact I will say when I first got into the show, I wasn't into him in the slightest and my talking points abt him weren't exactly positive to put it lightly pfft,) but once he started getting more depth beyond just being the sadistic asshat of the group and lore hints got dropped, he grew on me. IDK how exactly. I guess I was just drawn into his psychology and the mystery of what his backstory could've been?? IDK. He just became fascinating to me and then I somehow grew to like him, even if it was in a "you suck but I love you despite it and I hope you get better" sort of way. And then once I started developing Amour I just became fascinated by the potential dynamic between them given her own history (it just made a lot of sense to me that she would entertain a relationship that was likely a bit unhealthy so long as it was a "fun" change/different from the clean, boring, polished type of guy she'd feel forced to go for irl.) so I shipped them just for the gits and shiggles to see how that would go, but ofc that ended up solidifying more than I expected. I guess he's just an exception to the rule or something pfft. It's very rude, I must say.

Doesn't really help that the one character I would have latched onto for that in a heartbeat got thanos snapped out of existence at the end of the one episode he played a major role in though lmao. Gummigoo was an instant favorite/crush for me so losing him as an option so quick suuuucked and I was def counting Caine's days for that. Might change that for my personal stuff as like an alternative/AU ship tho since Amour has a bit more pull with Caine in my world, but yeah. That probably didn't help matters. ^^; I know people just ignore that sort of thing all the time but I really struggle when my favs die or are taken out of the picture like that for some reason so *shrugs??* idk man it's weird.

I think I may experiment and try to make my own AU versions of certain t/adc characters so I can kinda make things work around my girls as opposed to the other way around? Not sure how much exactly is gonna change right off the bat but this feels like the best way to continue enjoying this thing I clearly love without driving myself insane trying to change my characters that I already enjoyed as they were.
