This moment looks so simple, but for me, along with the moment that Sheldon changed his mind in the hallway about taking care of a sick Amy, it’s a huge moment for Sheldon. And consequently for Shamy.

After Sheldon’s line ("Look at us, it’s only been three years and here we are in bed together"), Amy just smile and thinks that this conversation was enough for one night. Sheldon had already told her so much, they really were talking about feelings. So she was ready to get back to the living room.

But then he stopped her, touched her arm and said "Hold on!"

He asked her to stay. With him, in his room.

He had already said that “it’s a posibility". He already said that he hadn’t ruled it out.

So Sheldon decided to show her that. A proof that he mean it.
