My favorite thing about vashwood is that beneath all the yearning, grief, sexual tension, and devotion is a foundation of just two Dudes, Guys hanging out.

They're like that one tumblr post about the masc4masc relationship where the two guys get home from work and sit in silence as they drink whiskey and smoke a cigar but one of them has the :3 face on.

Those two are NOT talking about their feelings and ignoring eachothers self destructive habits and the only reason this is slightly false is because canon is too dire and they got other things going on. (the yearning the grief ect)

So suddenly ur traveling together and this guy is acting like he's known u forever and casually insulting ur entire lifestyle and ur pretty sure he is maybe actually working for ur evil brother but like. What can u even really do about that. And then he becomes the most important person in ur life and then dies about it
