I'll stick with the epubs on my tablet as a back up at this point even if it's wonky to read on and the screen light isn't good for reading after a couple hours. Geez.

This also makes me seriously look closer at my other old tablet I adopted as scrapping, using Calibre to format, and just turning it solely into a digital grim.

Twenty-one tons of potatoes are up for grabs at Potato Palooza on Monday.

The nonprofit’s set to receive a donation of 21 tons of tubers this weekend from suppliers in the Midwest. Hoping to get the starchy vegetables to people in need, the nonprofit will host a “Potato Palooza” event on Monday in Park Hill. “Anyone is welcome to come. They can bring tote bags, wagons, you could back up your pickup truck if you wanted to,” Hissong said. The event is 9 a.m. to noon at the Park Hill Food Recovery Hub, 6090 East 39th Avenue, on July 27.

On Saturday I said to my partner, as I have said for months, "A ten thousand dollar a year raise would solve so many of my problems."

As of this morning I was reluctantly looking for jobs because I love my job and don't want to leave it, but see: $10k raise problem solver.

As of noon today this was no longer an issue, because my boss called me with the news that I was getting a $10K merit raise.

I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders. This is roughly $200 extra per paycheck. Enough to pay off debt faster, rebuild my savings, and spend a weekend a month in Milwaukee getting obscenely laid. The sex I'm going to have on $200 extra per paycheck. You can't even.

May all of you get the $10K raise your soul has yearned for. And whatever level of sex you can be satisfied with for $200.

Sometimes I look at my ebook collection and think, "I really need to sit down and convert all those epubs in Calibre, make sure the metadata is right, and organize them into folders on my Paperwhite so I stop taking an extra tablet everywhere with me..."

And then I look at my ebook collection being the size of my physical collection and my attention nopes out. XD

Maybe I just need to get my laptop updated and running that way I can do it at work with other library collection work and it won't be overwhelming.
