a.) Moved into Carol's neighbourhood pretty much right away.

b.) Knew she was riding Zosia and still waited for her to come around.

I don't think he is as uncompromising as people initially thought. He's just very rigid and stubborn in an autistic way.

Also! He and Carol are both so damn smart. Carol has been investigating the hive (until she got distracted) for months and putting two and two together on the whiteboard. Manousos is fucking researching shit with books that aren't even in his native tongue.
