I remember a time when tumblr, cringe site though it may be, used to speak up unequivocally for humanitarian rights EVERYWHERE. Most of my early introduction to the Palestinian cause was through tumblr. Today, it isn't even a trending hashtag. And the few resources that have been shared are littered with accusations of anti-semitism. Which btw is not true. Calling "Israel" out for its blatant ethnic cleansing agenda is not equal to hatred of Jews. What "Israel" is doing is a conscious military program to take over and exterminate the local populace, most of who happen to be Muslims. Citing the Holocaust as a good reason to take over stolen land and justify literal colonization is shameful and does no good to anyone's ancestors or their memories.
As for those trying their hardest to say that religion is nowhere in the picture, I'm sorry but your Islamophobia is also showing. This is an attack on MUSLIMS who are WORSHIPPING inside our third holiest MOSQUE in our HOLIEST MONTH. You are doing us a grave disservice by trying to divorce the element of religion from what's happening. The attacks have been timed over the years to mostly coincide with Ramadan, when Palestinian Muslims are fasting. It is not an accident; it is planned. Unfollow me all you want, but I will die screaming this into the world.
FREE PALESTINE. NO TO SETTLER COLONIALISM. NO TO ETHNIC CLEANSING.
