creep mutuals how do u decide what parts of josef’s lore is real/made up .

that’s the best part, you just can’t ever be certain! i feel like i catch onto a new lie every time i rewatch. we know he takes aspects of victims personalities, and there are far too many parallels between 1+2 of him repeating sentences/phrases in completely different stories he tells. he takes something someone said to him, and makes it about his own life. it’s so hard to pinpoint what is a real memory of his, what is a real memory of a victim, or what has been twisted up and turned upside down. part of me loves the idea that he knows he’s so charismatic and has a gift of storytelling and just completely utilises it to his advantage, and rather than being in a state of lonely delusions he’s just incredibly calculated and having as much fun as he can with it. josef has an incredible memory. i think the only truth is how much he ‘cares/love’ for certain victims and grows attached to them, obsessively, in a completely fucked up ‘if i kill you, you’re consumed by me and my power forever and cannot leave’ kind of way. he loves to get inside others heads, see how they react/behave, how far he can push someone. he’s a people watcher. the lives of his victims inspire his ever growing performance. the world is his stage and nothing is ever real for him, victims are just muses for his stories. and that’s all it ever is for josef, a big elaborate made up story.
