I absolutely welcome art requests! I can’t promise I’ll draw every idea, but I genuinely enjoy hearing what people come up with.

That said, I have a few preferences that I’d like you to keep in mind when requesting art from me:

OKAY OKAY OMAY OKAY ITS 4:55 AM AND I STAYED UP ALL NIGHT FIGURING OUT THE PICREW LAYOUT!

Rubbing my braincells together in an effort to remember how picrew creation works:) I’m still gonna wait a few days for the poll to end before committing to a format (but it do be looking like the 600x600 bust is winning.)

I think I’m going to zoom out and make both pauldrons visible^^ also still debating the symmetry. It certainly makes my life easier here…

So I figured I’d give a more minimalist version of the NL cake a try. This time it’s French vanilla and buttercream flavor^^ well supposed to be… the frosting might taste a little too much like food coloring lmaoooooo

But hey, those colors be looking vibrant af and I’m vibing with it:)

Don’t trust the “I’ve never been fed a single day in my miserable life” act. They’ve already had breakfast. And they ate two bags of snacks in the car on the way here. And they’re getting a proper lunch in about thirty minutes.

The steak they’re currently attempting to smuggle away from the barbecue is neither necessary nor deserved.

I’ve reached the stage of the Picrew where I need to commit to a format, and Picrew’s canvas size is… less than generous. 600×600 or 540×960! So I’m trying to strike a balance between detail, readability, and “this doesn’t make me want to chew through drywall.”

Made these out of resin and they remind me of rooster shaped sugar candies that were a staple in my childhood^^

If I ever had it in me to make a full illustration, I’d draw a little Nostraman street stall selling bat-wing-shaped sugar candies. ^^ Maybe even a young Night Haunter quietly swiping one.

Although, now that I think about it, I’m not even sure he’d actually do that. For someone his size, a single piece of candy has basically zero nutritional value. He’d probably burn more calories sneaking around to steal it than he’d get from eating it.

Then again… There’s that moment in The Night Haunter where he’s standing in the rain and realizes: “ah. So this is what crying would feel like.”

Night Lords husbandry continues to be my favorite genre because what do you mean I have to explain to these two genetically engineered superhuman predators that there are, in fact, no more snacks.

I like to imagine that half of Night Lords husbandry is just disappointing them.

“No more treats.”

“No, you can’t eat that.”

“No, your brother is not a snack.”

They’d never believe me anyway:)

I’ve been thinking about your suggestions for possible NL pets for the picrew and doodling to get an idea of their anatomy. You are 100% right about Arthromite Spinewyrms! They look like they belong on Night Lords:)

It’s not exactly scale accurate but I think this works for shitpost purposes. Thank you again so much for your help!

I’m officially starting to plan the Night Lords Picrew^^

I’m still not 100% sure whether I’m brave enough to commit to a full-body maker, but that’s the current plan until proven otherwise. But I already have a bunch of questions!

How many shades of armor should I include? I don’t really see a point in including fifty-seven different flavors of “dark blue” so I’m wondering if there are any other canonical options? (Lightning bolts/trophies/markings/trims are a separate layer and do not affect the base color of the armor)

If you happen to own any Chaos books, Night Lords books, codexes, campaign supplements, WD issues, ancient stone tablets, etc. and have thoughts on this, I would love to hear them ^^

While researching references I’ve also accidentally fallen down the Nostraman script rabbit hole. You know, the symbols that show up on transfer sheets? I have found approximately zero translations. So if you know whether these symbols actually mean anything, or where GW hid that information, please tell me.

I’m begging.

I’ve reached the stage of research where I’m squinting at transfer sheets like a conspiracy theorist trying to decode government documents.

Also:

Pets.

The Picrew absolutely does not need pets. Which is precisely why I want to add pets. I’m obsessed with the weird little “dogs” GW released with Huron Blackheart and the Masters of the Maelstrom, and now I desperately want a scrungly companion option for the Picrew.

Current candidates include:

- Huron’s weird little space chihuahua

- Nostraman lions (I keep seeing them mentioned in fan made materials but I can’t quite find a consistent description)

- Razorwings (if I can figure out what they look like)

- Crows

- Other funky warhammer creatures that look like they might bite somebody?

If you know of any animals, monsters, pets, mascots, or otherwise Night Lords-adjacent little guys, please please please send references. DMs, comments, and psychically-induced visions are all very much appreciated.

I have approximately seven hundred other questions and ideas, but unfortunately none of my IRL friends know enough Night Lords lore to answer them.

I’m therefore hoping to make new friends to replace the ones I had to {inflict judgment upon} for their lack of knowledge. A tragic loss.
