The display wins an eruption of delighted giggles, swaying when he takes her hand into the familiar rhythm of a DANCE !   ( she never used to dance -- doll soul and ice heart unable to LOVE the action before, but she LOVES it now ! )

it is not a particularly surprising reaction, even if it DOES make her sad.  But she brandishes no weapon in return, only shakes her head.   His contempt cuts like any other blade and BLEEDS her -- but it’s of little consequence now.  Now, she’s BOUND to the will of grail and the grail doesn’t wish to see the world BURN.  She’s been conscripted to help SAVE it after all ...  

“ In killing me, you would only succeed in DESTROYING chaldea ... of course, by all means please continue ... I have no desire to save the world.  It would be a sort of IRONIC twist to watch you end the world with your own hands after all you did to save it ... “ ( OH what a glorious thing they could have been, once -- but he is HOLY and all that is good in this world and she is the monster beneath the bed, ready to swallow every child whole -- the ROOT consumes her body and soul now, consciousness being retained is ... unexpected. ) 

She knows the minute that she is summoned.  He’s HERE.  ( If she were to reach and search, she thinks she could name EVERY servant that’s been summoned, but that would take time and she isn’t a patient thing.  No amount of time passing could make her such. )

She knows innately, as well, that she is herself and not all at once.  The WILL of the ROOT given form -- not unlike the spirit of grail -- but she’s still PRESENT in her mind.  She wants to see him and knows to expect he’ll raise hell at her face.  ( That should sadden her, shouldn’t it?  Ah, but nothing has ever made her feel as ALIVE as his holy light ... )

“ to play at playing god ... “ She echoes, pale eyes watching after every move with care and adoration -- she appears bewildered and then all at once overjoyed, frigid chill settling into the atmosphere at the sound of her LAUGHTER.  Her eyes remain TENDER upon him.

the thought of misaya with an unworthy dog makes him feel ill, rage bubbling just under his skin — he takes another breath as if that would calm him. as if that would make the lancer vanish so he could enact his plan ( he reaches to touch the ribbon in his hair, thinks of her laughter ). she was supposed to call him back from this hell & yet she hadn’t. the two of them had been apart & he knew she’d not forgotten, not truly. a person could never forget someone who made such an impact — even in this shadowed form, he knew misaya & surely … ❛ she could not forget me if she tried. i am selfish, i made certain a part of me would always be with her — ❜

No response could please her more!  Manaka twists and twirls with a vicious grin, smile sharp and CUTTING.  It is not against the Caster’s nature to be BLOODY, to be feral and wild and merciless -- That’s all she wants!  She wants to bring back the Paracelsus Von Hohenheim who committed those atrocities and she knows well what insidious desire lays waiting in the dark of his heart -- he wants Misaya for himself.  He NEEDS her -- 

She is a shadow over him, as much a condemning noose as a saving grace.  ( I MADE MY OWN HOME BE MY GALLOWS. )  She is HOPE and LIGHT and powerful love and Manaka -- Manaka couldn’t RIP her away from him before but she can now.  She can now and she’ll scarce have to lift a finger for it !  

For Misaya -- oh Misaya DESPISES him and all that he’s done.  She wonders what her face will look like, when Caster stands before her and tries to take her LIFE from her again !  ( For in taking the chance at the GRAIL from her ... he will condemn her to DEATH. )
