Week 4 and reflection x part 2/?
Week 4 - vlog and reflection part 1/?
Having to upload this is small separate parts as the file is too big
Part 2 of the previous video
Part 1 of 2
15.8 Memorial
This isn't technically a 'vlog' but I felt like it deserved it's own video. It's crazy how western media doesn't take notice of what happens around the test of the world (as much). This happened only 40 years ago and yet not one of the 100+ exchange students had heard of this event. Yet, for some of the Korean students at the school, this affected the lives of their families - some peoples parents and close relatives were involved in this. And it makes it even sadder that the whole thing started at the university I was studying in...
Posting this in two parts because tumblr wouldn't let me upload the full video.

What to do on the day of the Exam
Exam tips from Dr. Benson (My psychology teacher)
BEFORE THE EXAM: ~ Try to get 8 hours of sleep on the night of your exams; thereβs nothing more stressful than lack of sleep! ~ Eat breakfast (best to avoid carbs) ~ Do NOT drink coffee or Red Bull/ energy drinks before the exam. They can cause dehydration which makes your brain work less effectively! ~ Bring a calculator, ruler, rubber, 2-5 black pens (or whatever else youβll need) ~ Get to the exam hall early. Rushing will increase your stress levels. ~ Check your seat number before the exam begins. Being flustered will also increase stress. ~ Switch off your phone/ devices. You donβt want to be disqualified because they go off in the exam. ~ βGet your head in the gameβ Exams are important, you should take them seriously, donβt act like a brat while going into the exam hall. (His words not mine) ~ Stress isnβt a bad thing, you perform better when youβre slightly under stress, however donβt panic. Be positive!
Happy learning everyone~

Finally finished packing for Korea, probably the most stressful part of the whole process so far. 23kg isnβt mich when youβre going away for a month...
I fly out to Korea tomorrow evening, donβt think itβs quite sunk in that Iβm going yet, Iβm not excited or even nervous, but Iβm sure the emotions will build when I get to the airport. This is my first time flying so far away from home, it will be the longest time Iβll be spending alone too, which is a bit surreal...
