I am very interested in whether you submitted the sketch to them for the proposal 💙

I got lucky, the Field Museum approached me to work on this exhibit because they enjoyed the paleoart I post online!

as for what I submitted - the client never got to see my blob monsters. those were just for me, to help work out the composition.

usually I offer a few sketches, so that the client can choose whichever works best for the project. in this case, because of the swift turnaround, I went right into a detailed rough:

after they approved these (with some minor changes), I turned it into a risograph print, and then scanned the print and isolated all the different elements so that they could animate them
