if she disagrees with something, she isn’t going to hide it from him, but she won’t ever just come out and say it when there are others near (excluding caius and marcus, ofc, because obviously they’d both be aware of her mindset towards their leader).   that would upset the  balance  they’ve got going on, and athenodora likes the peace that the coven has brought her and caius.   if she ever needs to disagree with something and it’s a little more public than she’d like, she’s very careful with her tone and her wording.

she’s also  not afraid  of him, which i think is pretty important to note.   she doesn’t doubt his capabilities in any way by thinking that he wouldn’t retaliate in some way if she pushed him too hard, but she has been with him long enough to know that he’d never just outright kill her.   at the  very least,  athenodora believes that he has a strong enough bond with caius that he’d think twice before coming for her head  –  no matter how infuriating she can be.
