↳ Rhaenyra es la última heredera de la mafia de Valyria. Justo cuando está por tomar el control de la familia y convertirse en el nuevo líder, su vida se ve amenazada por una banda rival, quienes supuestamente también mataron a su padre y a su madre. En la noche del anuncio, reciben noticias de que han mandado a un asesino para matarla y que se encuentra entre los invitados; solo que no saben quién es precisamente. En el momento en que el asesino se había acercado lo suficiente a ella como para acabar con su vida, una cara conocida salva a Rhaenyra justo antes de que reciba el golpe mortal. Su salvador no es otro más que su tío Daemon, quien regresó después de años alejado de la familia y vino a defender el derecho de su sobrina a gobernar.
