The Stony AU dynamic I just can’t get on board with is one where Steve’s a modern American army veteran living with PTSD from combat. It feels incredibly off, and I can’t stop fixating on figuring out which war he’d have just fought in. 😱Maybe the Peace Corps or UN peacekeeping missions would suit him far better.😶😶

"Give me a kiss" is one of my favorite cute tropes. Sex is loaded with heavy cultural implications where I’m from, so we never really get to view it freely. A kiss is different — it can be playful or heartfelt. It’s so open to interpretation, and that’s where a character’s agency and all their unfiltered feelings truly shine through.

A very interesting point, Tony always aspires to a naturally good character, a cause of sacrificing oneself for the people, this may stem from his denial and disgust of his past self, I believe this is one of the reasons he expressed such strong attachment to Steve from the beginning at MCU. My friend say this is because the artificial always aspires to the natural, from this perspective, Tony is like Andersen‘s mechanical nightingale. At the end of the story , the mechanical nightingale cannot sing anymore, so the real nightingale sings a song for the king, making him understand that the natural is always better than the artificial. But at the end of Avengers 4, everyone came to his funeral, including Steve. The real Nightingale held the funeral for the mechanical Nightingale, and the mechanical Nightingale proved at the moment of his death that he finally possessed a true heart.
