One More Night. By coincidence, Doctor stumbles into Rose's timeline a year before they met. Throwing caution to the wind, he asks her out, figuring a single date won't make a big difference. But one date turns into several, and suddenly, he can't bring himself to leave her. Then New Year's Eve rolls around, and she speaks of this odd bloke she met, who had drunk so much that he couldn't remember the year. That's when he pulls himself together, and leaves her, like he should. Their story isn't over there, though... Several years later, when planets are being stolen and stars go out, Torchwood in Pete's World tries to make a dimension canon, which will make Rose able to warn the Doctor in his own universe. However, they keep running into problems, and time is running short. One day, prime-minister Harriet Jones (whose health was never questioned) calls for Rose, who walks into her office, and is greeted by a familiar face and bow tie. However, that's not the worst part; the worst part is that she calls him 'Doctor'. That's when Rose realizes, who her teenage boyfriend was, and she is not pleased. However, they must work together to make the canon work, which it eventually does. Again, even as their ways are separated, it is not the last she hears of this Doctor, who appears in Pete's World long after the Dalek's nearly destroyed the universe. And that's basically how long I've gotten with this idea, so far.

Lion Heart. Bad Wolf Bay, that's where it all ends. The star burns longer time, although he doesn't get further than her name; his next regeneration won't wait, and his whole body is soon in golden flames. The hologram ends when the TARDIS is in flames, and Rose watches, horrified. At first, she cannot believe it, but she realizes that he must be dead. Several years pass, and Doctor (for he is not dead, just regenerated) chases a new enemy, which has the ability to both travel in time and change its appearance. It is related to The Family, somewhere, but it, at least, can't use Time Lords for anything. It kills humans for sport, though, so it is vital that he gets to it. Chasing the alien, he ends up, not just in a different time, but in a different universe. Pete's World. It's uncertain when the alien arrived there, but Doctor has his "goes ding when there's stuff" and quickly finds it. In a flat in Powell Estate. Thinking it a coincidence, he knocks on the door, where a man greets him. Apparently, he's waiting for a plumber, so Doctor pretends to be so, and goes into the flat to investigate (he can't be sure that the man is the alien). Here, he finds...Rose. He puts two and two together; she and this man are...involved. Hurt (but somewhat glad) that she has moved on, he hides his identity, and must figure out the mystery of the alien right under her nose - while also trying not to kiss her.
