July 26, 2026 - Red-tailed Greenbul (Criniger calurus) Found in parts of western and central Africa, these bulbuls live in forests and savannas. Foraging in groups of around 3 to 10, often with other species, and sometimes following ant swarms, they eat arthropods, small lizards, berries and other fruits, and seeds. They build cup-shaped nests from rootlets, small twigs, dry leaves, and spiderwebs. Females incubate clutches of two eggs alone and both parents feed the chicks.
