why is blackstar so glazed in the warriors community guys this is the person that got a whole book of being woobified and forgiven for all the war crimes because 'i was just fowwowing my weader :<' mind you people hate onestar for being slightly deservingly rude to firestar and act as if firestar wasnt part of the cause. oh boy do i love this fandom
the war crimes blackstar did are fictional but the annoyance i feel toward onestar is real
but beyond that i like how they handle the general thunderclan involvement in all major conflicts in the more recent books i think it’s cool that they acknowledge how thunderclan cats always seem to be the ones sticking their noses into things
also in all seriousness blackstar is at least like cool and stuff and (please take this with a grain of salt because it’s been a minute since i’ve read the original series) he was more against the brokenstar-tigerstar policies than many who just followed blindly right
but onestar became leader and immediately switched up on his day one come on man and then not long after had an affair which resulted in the death of many many clan cats later on which like yeah not his fault but i don’t care he annoys me so im gonna slander him
also i think it’s fun that blackstar is named blackstar despite being almost completely white because it’s a development on the name blackfoot that’s cool i like that
onewhisker was such a cool name too and onestar as a name has so much aura also that group of firestar blackstar onestar and leopardstar had so much aura
okay lets not mischaracterize onestar here, his change in character took about one year in book time (Twilight - Dark River) and it made lots of sense. onestar was pretty much almost murdered because he was friends with another Clan's leader. not even against the code. the sub-reason was because mudclaw was pettily ignoring his offers and compromises because onewhisker didn't even want leadership (which was quite obviously stated, if i remember even stated across multiple POVs) the smoke/darktail thing happened when onestar was a apprentice. he was young and curious, and its also pretty clear that by nature, onestar has a fear to stand up for himself in situations where most are against him. if anything, its windclan's fault for how he turned out to be. no one wouldve been 'better' or 'worse' toward thunderclan because windclan's opinions on thunderclan in po3 explain a lot about why onestar acts like that. as for the darktail situation, smoke raised him to be like that. of course it did root from more selfish motives but what onewhisker did was pretty much the best choice there was. in the great journey, they have a high chance of dying. in windclan, they will get so much prejudice its insane. even tallstar cant properly stand up for them because he's declining. in clanlife in general, they will deal with constant wars and battles. its no wonder onewhisker thought kittypet life was much better for them; he even came back for the two of them, even if too late.
also lets be real here onestar is just much more interesting than harestar
i absolutely agree that onewhisker is way more interesting than harestar he hasn’t really even done anything yet
which like yeah he hasn’t been around all that long yet but also like onestar does have a lot of cool story stuff and character development when i could count on one hand the amount of times harestar was relevant before being leader
also mostly unrelated but despite my favorite book being crookedstar’s promise, tallstar’s revenge has always been a pretty solid contender and i love how tallstar’s character has been handled in the series, especially by other characters after his death (especially onestar)
