I really like your Maze House Au and that it really is Abuse Simulator 4000, but I do have to ask why they needed Stan there in the first place? Was Ford just so bad at taking care of himself that Bill decided they needed hired (tortured) help so he didn't kick the bucket before their plans succeeded, and how did he get Ford to agree?
đđ Glad you like it so much! Maze House is an endless cycle of abuse for everyone but Bill đ
To answer your question, Bill orchestrated the whole situation so he could eat :) The type of poltergeist/demon Bill is in this AU feeds off of emotions, and negative ones are strong. Bill torments those who come live in his house, feeding off their torment and despair and fear. Usually Bill just drains them dry like that until they die.
But Ford was different. He was the first person to come live in the house knowing something was there, and trying to actively communicate with Bill. Bill took a liking to Ford and decided he didnât want Ford to die. Problem was, Bill still has to eat, so he searched Fordâs memories and found the perfect solution in Stan.
Itâs been shown in snippets and art pieces of the AU that thereâs something wrong with Fordâs mind and memory. Thatâs Billâs doing :)
Bill convinced Ford to call Stan to the house to âreconcileâ and the like. But Billâs true intentions were to create a setup that allows him to feed from Stan (and a bit from Ford still) while being able to keep Ford alive. Having Ford abuse his brother creates the fear and torment Bill enjoys consuming. Itâs basically a constant feedback loop for Bill.
Ford agreed because, well. Surely Bill is always right :) Bill is his friend after all :)
fanart i made for @loveshacksâs fic dream operator back in january! i was deliriously ill at the time and i had to draw bill in his little RC car from the fic or the sickness would take me

After years of silence between them, Stan is called up to Gravity Falls by a postcard and a âplease come!â. Whatever Ford wants from him after all this time sounds serious and urgent, so Stan makes his way there as fast as he can, expecting the worst.
What he gets is the opposite: a nice cabin near the edge of the woods, and a brother who acts happy to see him.
Maybe a bit too happy, though. Ford says he could use Stanâs help, but then never specifies with what. In fact, he seems rather content to fall back into their old roles as brothers, as if nothing had ever happened between them. Itâs too good to be true, really, but it soothes a hurt in Stan that is years old. He wants to believe this is all Ford wants of him; wants to believe Ford just wants to be brothers again.
But the cabin is creepy. Stan canât pinpoint why, but he swears sometimes things move on their own. He swears that sometimes the halls seem to twist and loop on themselves. It shouldnât be a big house, but he finds himself getting lost in it constantly. He can never seem to easily get to the room he wants to be in, and he swears that sometimes the shadows in the corners of his eye form different shapes.
Ford tells him heâs imagining all these things, but Stan canât shake the feeling that something is wrongâand not just with the house, but with Ford.
Ford is⌠different. Strange. Friendly and warm but in an almost off-putting manner. Heâs always trying to keep Stan inside, dissuading him from going out for any reason. He makes good excuses, but the longer it continues, the more Stan sees that they are just excuses, and the stronger the feeling of wrongness grows.
Itâs not until Stan tries to call their mother, wondering if she knows anything about Fordâs odd demeanour, that his gut feelings are proven right.
The phone line is cut.
Stan decides he needs to get out. Something weird is going on in this place. He wants to help his brother, but he needs some space to clear his head first.
The decision brings the realization that⌠Stan doesnât think heâs seen the front door since he entered the house. He hadnât really thought about it before, but the entrance hall basically just disappeared.
Stan goes searching for it, but he canât find it. Itâs almost like the house itself is trying to stop him. And this time he knows heâs not imagining it; the halls keeping looping him back around to the same rooms. The rooms themselves change each time he opens a door, but never to the front entrance.
When he sees Ford, Stan tries to tell his brother all this, but Ford shrugs him off. âThatâs very imaginative of you, Stanley. Are you bored? Are you feeling sick?â is all Ford says. âCome watch TV with me and get your mind off it.â
It takes Stan a few days before he finally finds the front door. Heâs relieved. The house freaks him out. Ford freaks him out. His brother is acting like everything is normal when itâs clearly not. He needs help.
Stan tries to leave. The house wonât let him.
And then everything changes.
âYou shouldnât have done that,â Ford tells him. He looks disappointed. âI thought you were enjoying playing pretend.â
Stan will look back on that moment later and wish he had played pretend for longer.
Itâs as if some sort of spell breaks, like the nice, forgiving Ford was only ever an illusion. The brother who greets him the next morning is stern and cold. He gives Stan a list of work to do out of the blue; chores to complete and tasks to get done for the day. Itâs a little ridiculous, and Stan doesnât take it seriously.
When Fordâs fist meets his face for the first time that evening, he learns to regret that too.
Suddenly, nothing is the same. Stan barely recognizes his brother. Ford is neurotic, unstable, prone to violent mood swings and outbursts of anger. Heâs cold and demanding, ordering Stan around. Stan doesnât accept it at first, refusing to be controlled by his own nerdy twin. He stands up for himself, he tries to fight back.
He learns just how far Ford is willing to take things, when Ford takes off his belt and beats Stan with it. When he wraps his tie around Stanâs throat and chokes him to near unconsciousness.
Fighting back becomes less appealing after that.
Stan does the chores. He cooks and cleans and then cleans again and again and again, being sent back to the same task over and over until Ford thinks heâs done it well enough. Complaints are met with sharp words and sharper fists. Stanâs skin becomes a canvas of blue and purple and black.
And the house gets creepier. At the same time Fordâs act dropped, so did the houseâs. Apparently something else lives there, some creature called Bill. From what Ford says, itâs some sort of poltergeist. Whatever it is, itâs old and strong, controlling the house to the point it seems like it practically is the house. The shadows Stan used to spot from the corner of his eye he starts to see openly.
The shadows watch him constantly. Sometimes shaped like eyes, sometimes like triangles, sometimes like a mockery of a man. Bill watches Stan, and it doesnât take long for Stan to realize Bill reports back to Ford about him.
Because Ford has rules. Rules he lays out for Stan to follow. Rules that seem to change based on Fordâs mood. Rules with consequences if Stan breaks themâand unfortunately, he breaks them a lot. Even when Ford isnât around, Bill is watching. It seems to take great pleasure in seeing Stan get beaten. It tattles on Stan and sabotages his work, messing up rooms Stan has already cleaned.
Bill torments him, trapping Stan in closets or small rooms, looping him endlessly in hallways to prevent him from getting to where he needs to go, or repeatedly sending him to Ford until Ford gets annoyed by his âinterruptionsâ and punishes Stan.
But worst of all is the classroom.
Every night Ford calls Stan to the classroom. Stan canât avoid it, Bill forces him there even if he tries to refuse going. So every night he ends up sitting at a desk and staring at a large blackboard, his hands shaking.
Itâs blackboard Ford set up to track each of Stanâs mistakes. For every infraction he makes, a mark is added to the board. And each night, Stan is forced to sit there as Ford tallies up the marks, then doles out whatever punishment he sees fit for however badly Stan messed up that day.
It always hurts. The ruler, the belt, Fordâs fists. Stan is beaten and hit and kicked and screamed at. Every. Day.
Everyday is something, no matter how little the mistake. Everyday Stan begins to regret his life. Everyday Stan wishes heâd played along with whatever game of house Ford had been putting on at the beginning. Everyday he wishes he were somewhere else.
But he canât leave. Ford wonât let him. Bill wonât let him. Stan canât find a way out.
He learns to endure, to be quieter, more obedient, to say sorry and try to mitigate Fordâs anger before it gets out of hand. It doesnât always work, but Stan has nothing else he can do. Ford is⌠scary. And isnât that something? Stan, scared of his own nerdy brother. But he has reason to be, and Ford has shown how far heâs willing to go if Stan puts up a fight.
Itâs not worth it. All being obstinate ever gets him is pain.
But if heâs good, if heâs real good, sometimes Ford will be kinder. Sometimes Ford will put on the facade of a normal brother again, and let Stan pretend that things are okay. Itâs⌠it can be nice.
Except even when Ford allows an illusion of peace between them, Bill is still there. And Bill frightens Stan more than Ford does. Whatever it is is unnatural and creepy, and Stan canât get away from it. The eyes are always watching, always following him. It drives him to Ford for some sort of relief, even if there is little comfort to be found from his brother. At least Ford is human.
âŚBut something is wrong with Ford too, something beyond the abusive and controlling behaviour. He gets frequent headaches and nosebleeds. Sometimes heâs spacey and forgetful, repeating himself without realizing it. On occasion, Stan catches him wandering the house, going round and round with seemingly no destination in mind and a lost expression on his face.
Sometimes Ford is jumpy. Stan accidentally slams a door and gets yelled at, but Ford looks more anxious than angry. He mutters to himself a lot, claiming to be talking to Bill. And one evening, Stan finds Ford on the phone, seemingly in a conversation with their mother, looking happy about it.
But the phone line is still cut.
(Art by @nonplatonicguy)
Ford doesnât seem to notice that the cord of the phone heâs holding just dangles in the air, unattached. He doesnât seem to notice that âMaâsâ voice sounds strange and distorted. And he doesnât believe Stan when Stan tries to point those things out to him. All he ever does is get mad at Stan for it, claiming Stan is triggering his headache with âincessant and pointless questionsâ.
Stan doesnât know whatâs going on, but it isnât normal. Nothing about this house is normal. Nothing about Ford is normal anymore either. But his brother is too violent and mentally unstable to try and reason with. Thereâs nothing Stan can say to him, no action he can take, no help he can give, and no way he can leave.

"It's not okay! It's fucked, you gotta know it's fucked, I talked to fiddleford--"
Ford's fork hit the table hard. "When."
"He came by the other day, I answered the door and--"
"You're not to answer the door. Whatever ideas my ex-associate has given you are completely false and you are apparently unable to see that, so you're no longer permitted to answer the door."
"That's bullshit, Ford! I'm going through enough shit as it is with this stupid collar around my neck - and I'm only keeping it because of your weird anxiety - you can't just--"
"I can and I will. This is my home, you will respect my rules." Ford said sternly.
"Listen, Sixer, I'm trying to talk to you man to man here."
"Maybe that's the issue." Ford picked up Stan's plate, dodging his half-hearted swipe for it. He stood up, walking to the corner of the kitchen and putting the plate down. He turned and Stan had just stolen his plate, and was loudly chewing Ford's potatoes.
Ford prided himself on being better than his family, but in that moment he knew his father's anger. He stormed over, grabbing a handful of Stan's hair and dragging him out of his seat. Stan yelled, flailing and kicking like a rabid animal, but he was emaciated where Ford was meticulous with his physical health to not burden his muse. It was easy to drag him to the corner, dropping his face onto his plate and putting a foot on his back when he tried to get up.
Stan made the sweetest little breathless noise as Ford pushed him into the floor, into the food Ford had provided him. "Do you know the intelligence quotient of a dog, Stanley?" He asked while Stan struggled to inhale under the weight on his back. "A mere twenty points maximum. No more intelligent than a toddler. There is an 80 point difference between a dog and an average man. I have an IQ of 183. Do you know what that means?"
Stan wheezed. "Means you're a dick."
Ford pressed harder. He could break a rib this way. "It means you are a dog to me. Able to be instructed but incapable of higher logic and reasoning. Easily swayed. Stupid. Anyone who sees a dog behave the way you do would put it down. You have no utility and you're starting to really piss me off, Stanley. You will not comment on things you do not understand. You will sit there in the corner and finish the dinner I gave you and I might not tie you off outside to bark yourself sore."
Stan stopped entirely, looking up at Ford with one wild eye. "Fuck you."
Ford took his foot back and kicked Stan in the stomach hard enough his back hit the wall. Stan wheezed another curse and Ford kicked him again. And again. And again. Watching Stan curl into himself shakily, like a shivering fawn.
His final kick had Stan throwing up the dinner he stole. His stomach turned and he stepped away. "Do you understand?"
Stan nodded, pale and heaving.
"Good." Ford helped him up. "I'll clean you up, just leave it to me." He said gently, helping Stanley with his stagger to the bathroom. "I won't put you down for a few rabid tendencies, I love you too much." He pulled Stanley out of his sweater, huffing when Stan wouldn't let go of his stomach to get his sleeves off. "Even if you need a guiding hand." He bit, and Stan moved his hands obediently. Perfect.

silly drawings the wolfie Stan but hes a housewife now i guess. the one of "menacing"Âż Stan is an idea i had while talking with fake of Stanley just asking something/going out with his son but hes menacing and pretty much doesnt realize now, funny he lived for quite a while with Ford. also lil size difference bcs the canvas was tooo empty lol
So I decided to half illustrate my idea about the Ford clone.
I had this idea going around in my head since the moment I write the first part, so, if the Ford clone is very happy living life next to Stanley, they managed to make their Stanco something legitimate and they are doing very well!
He no longer has debts, he lives in a nice apartment, his brother has forgiven him and loves him again, so much so that now the stan-o-war is in his plans.
life is good
Well until someone who clearly has the wrong number wanted to ruin everything,
Fordâs ears, which had faced forward as he concentrated on writing his journal, twitch at the sound of Stanâs voice, which is uncharacteristically serious. Ford, he saysânot a nickname, not an insult, just his name. Ford feels a little jolt of anxiety just strong enough to get him to look up from his book and at his brother, who is lounging on a nearby couch.
Stan has been staying at Fordâs cabin for about a week now, and heâs really made himself at home. Ford feels his chest swell at the sight of Stan; his coat is shiny and clean if still a little patchy. Thatâs alright, those spots will grow back given time and attention, which Ford will be able to give him once heâs brought his Muse into this realm. Until then, Fordâs attention is unfortunately split, which means Stan is sometimes slightly neglected.
âYes?â Ford asks, a tad impatient now that heâs been pulled from his task.
âYouâre doing that thing where you kick your leg out over and over trying to get something unstuck, but the thing is still there so you just kick it again like twenty seconds later. Itâs been almost an hour. Will you just check your damn fur?â Stan huffs and turns his attention back to the comic Ford had brought him from the corner store.
Oh, dear. Ford hadnât even realized heâd been doing that. He tries to hide his blush as he leans down and tries to remove whatever irritates his toes. Now that Stanâs pointed it out, Ford can feel just how annoying the burr is, and heâll definitely be unable to focus now.
Ugh. The damn thing is at a bad angleâFord tries to adjust, leans out of his chair to get it, contorting to reach it andâ
Falls out of his chair.
âShit, Sixer!â Stan hurries to help him up, and Ford canât help but laugh at his own foolishness, which puts Stan at ease. âMoses. You could just ask if you need a little help.â Stan points out, rolling his eyes as he guides Ford to the couch heâd just been laying on. It smells distinctly of Stan, since heâs basically taken up residence here while Ford is working at his desk, which is often.
âI thought I had it.â Ford whines as he brings his paw up for inspection. Itâs been a while since heâs clipped his fur, and thus the fluffy appendage has managed to pick up a good amount of debris. âUgh.â Ford flops backwards, tootsies up in the air as he voices how extremely unhappy he is about this turn of events. âWhyâd you have to say something? I didnât notice until you pointed it out.â
Stan just snorts, and grabs Fordâs paw in his.
Ford canât help the full-bodied shiver he feels as Stan touches him. His hands are so different from Fordâs. The number of digits, yes, but also their constructionâthe claws, the paw pads, all evolutionary advantages when hunting prey with soft, tasty flesh just like Ford.
And yet, thereâs no fear in Fordâs shiver; he relaxes against the couch as Stan dutifully begins to clean his paws, as if they were little kits again.
First, Stan drags a pleasantly dull claw between an accumulation of matted fur, carefully pulling just-so before bringing the spot to his mouth and expertly slicing the fur away from Fordâs sensitive skin with a deadly fang. The relief is instant, but Stan isnât done yet. All heâs done is relieve some pressure from the bur stuck up between his toes, now he has to actually remove it.
Stan tries to use his claws again, but itâs too deep; instead, he brings Fordâs paw to his mouth again, and nibbles single-mindedly at the burr, wetting the fur around it with slick spit, lubricating and softening the burr so it can be removed with minimal pain.
Indeed, when Stan finally pulls it free with a triumphant little growl, Ford feels no pain, only relief. Still, Stan leans forward and licks the whole paw clean, soothing any lingering soreness.
Ford hasnât taken his eyes off Stan for the whole ordeal, a warmth coiling low in his stomach as he watched Stan so competently and confidently slobber all over his foot like itâs no big deal.
Ford doesnât push it for now; his brother is worth the wait of doing things right, doing things for keeps. So, when Stan lowers Fordâs paw, Ford just voices his gratitude and goes back to work.
AAAA THIS WAS SO CUTE i loved it so so much, ugh, them being domestic killed me im in your walls.
lil extra of my reference of wolf Stanley and Bunny Ford, this came from a discord convo about it. for the record, idk how to draw animals
You might see me drawing them again bcs...bunny Ford putting Wolf Stanley in a cage...
This Is A Gift, It Comes With A Price chapter 16 snippet
Stan has had Enoughâ˘ď¸
âCalm down, Stanley.â
âDonât tell me what to do!â Stan yelled loudly. âIâm sick of you telling me what to do!â
He swung with his other fist, and Ford caught that one too. He pushed Stan backwards lightly, making him tumble down onto his bed with a little bounce. It didnât hurt, and it only made Stan more angry that Ford wasnât bothering to fight back.
âYou have so much excess energy this morning. I figured this would happen at some point.â Ford observed him thoughtfully, then stepped back and spread his arms out wide. âAlright then, get that restlessness out.â
Stan stared dumbly until Ford crooked his fingers in a beckoning motion, then he leapt up and all but flew at his brother. If he was getting a free pass to hit Ford then he wasnât going to decline. Ford didnât let Shermie hit him, so Stan was surprised that he was being allowing to do soâespecially considering the spiels about ârespectâ Ford had gone on about. But whatever. Stan didnât care about Fordâs reasons for allowing it; he only cared about landing a good left hook in Fordâs smug face.
It didnât do much. Fordâs head barely tilted from the impact, his expression unchanged.
Annoying.
Ford grabbed Stan under the arms and gently tossed him onto the bed again.
âYou know better than to leave yourself open like that,â he chided. âKeep your guard up!â
âShut up!â Stan yelled, bouncing to his feet and bull-rushing his brother. âI donât need your âadviceâ!â
He went for Fordâs middle, landing a few rapid hits to the solar plexus, trying to knock the wind out of Ford.
Ford grabbed him under the arms as soon as he was done and gently tossed him onto the bed.
Stan rolled back to his feet with fury. Ford was playing with him. There was a glint to his eyes and a curve to his lips that betrayed his amusement at Stanâs efforts. He was treating this like a game. The same way he treated everything else. Like Stan and the family were toys Ford could play with, and not people with their own agency.
âTake me seriously!â Stan shouted, lunging for his brother with his hands outstretched, intent on simply trying to strangle him in frustration.
Ford grabbed him by the arms and swung him in a circle, then gently tossed him onto the bed. âYou donât want me to take you seriously. Trust me.â
Stan bounced up and tried to tackle Ford to the floor.
Ford let it happen, playfully rolling around on the floor with Stan, wrestling him. Stan fought furiously, dead set on trying to do some sort of damage to Fordâor at least wipe the smile off his faceâbut he was easily overpowered and pinned down.
Then Ford went and sat on Stan, the absolute jerk.
