It’s been a while, but is there any chance we could have some more head canon for fireproof?
Hello Anon! Sure, I'd love to provide you all with more Fireproof head canons! It makes me happy to know that people still are interested in my billstan au :))
I mentioned this before I believe, but the whole reason Bill started growing out a goatee was to appear more "rugged" after hearing Stan fawn over Jimmy Snakes. Without it, he has a bit of a baby face. It takes Bill a long time to properly grow a full goatee, and it requires a good amount of maintenance. They learned that the hard way once he accidently gave Stan beard burn on his chin lol.
Bill once went through a phase of growing out a mustache in additional to his goatee. It was a VERY poor excuse of a pencil mustache, think a sleazy bootlegger from the 1920s. Stan claimed he hated it and said that Bill looked like a high school boy trying to grow facial hair for the first time. Bill didn't throw in the towel until Abuelita looked at it and silently handed Bill a can of shaving cream.
When Soos and Meloady have kids, they call Stan "Gramps" and Bill "Pops" respectively. It makes them both melt every time.
Bill would definitely be very involved with the Ramirez family during his retirement years, serving as a dubious role model for sure but they love him anyways.
Dipper and Mabel come by during their school breaks before summer starts, and Bill takes them on long camping trips to fully immerse them in the wacky nature (and to show up Ford). The number of times they almost get eaten is astounding, but hey! They lived!
Stan and Ford continue to go on short voyages up until Stan physically can't keep up with the nautical lifestyle anymore. When that happens, he and Bill build their own little cabin in the woods.
Bill switches between his two physical forms quite a bit post-epilogue, though at first he has to be very careful with how people take his Euclydian form. At the end of the day, that side of him IS him, and will always be him. And his family love him, so they will love him in all forms.
Stan at first, admittedly, was a bit wary though very willing to get to know all of Bill's (ahem) angles. Let's just say he masters geometry after a private tutoring session with Bill LOL
Ford is probably the one who has the most issues with Bill's triangle form, though. For good reason.
Ford and McGucket do strike up a relationship after Ford returns, though whether it's romantic or queer platonic is hard to tell. They're happy, and that's what matters.
Bill has a very eclectic wardrobe. Sometimes he's very classy, other times he looks like he rolled around in the bargain bin at Walmart. Whatever strikes his fancy.
KIND OF SAD but Stan dies first, in his early 80s much to his shock. Stan claims it's only fair since Bill technically died on him first. Bill doesn't find this funny at all. Both Bill and Ford were there with him in his final moments. Bill didn't last much longer after that. Ford ends up being the only one left of that generation, and he's grateful when death finally does come for him.
Death is one of Bill's biggest fears even though he knows what lies beyond it. He knows he will be punished. He knows that all his sins will catch up to him. What he wonders is if he will ever meet Stan again, in that great beyond. Maybe, maybe not. Maybe it'll have to be enough that in this life they met.
That's all I'll say for now! I don't really have any plans lined up for William Birch at the moment, but keep an eye out for a familiar face once the Pyramid Scheme zine drops ;))
