I've been thinking a lot about a StanBillFord AU I came up with, where after being at the Theraprism, Bill is reincarnated as a human, and gets to meet the Stans when they're young (my human Bill is AFAB for reasons) and when they're older he both helps Stan at the Mystery Shack as an illusionist and also helps Ford with his research on Gravity Falls' anomalies. Also, he kept the Mystic Amulet without Ford knowing (good think he dyes his hair blonde), clearly nothing can go wrong, right?
Also, even tho Bill has an unhealthy anxious attachment with Ford (that just gets worse after something else that happens in the story), he has a much stronger bond with Stan, who cares deeply about Bill, platonically and romantically. He and Bill have always been partners in crime after all. Not that Ford doesn't care about Bill, but he's still kind of selfish 'cause he didn't go through his much needed character development, so that leads to carelessness on his part, even if he doesn't mean it. Stanley is not amused by this.
