I wish more authors used footnotes/endnotes. It's not that your author's comments are unappreciated but I don't particularly appreciate them in the middle of the fanfic you've written that I'm trying to read. Like, I do like reading your comments but I like it more when they don't interrupt the actual paragraph is more what I'm trying to say. The authors that use footnotes/endnotes that are hyperlinked are a godsend bc I can just click that little number one or two or seven and be directed to the end notes and read your comment or the translation or whatever it is you as the author thought was important to let me, the reader, know. Personally I just feel that I like it this way bc it flows better, it doesn't take me as the reader out of the story, and I can read your comments on my own time whether that be right as I encounter the footnote/endnote or when I finish the chapter/story.

This is both a kpop and abo related opinion so mostly apologies to anyone in the kpop community this could offend. I know reading rpf about idols can be controversial. However, I think that in abo fics about K-pop idols, we should start using the scents of whatever perfume or cologne they use irl. Bc like if they always use a specific jo Malone scent, ysl scent, or d&g, creed, etc., then like if we know what they actually smell like, it's perfect for abo. Just pick the major notes of the scent they use and BAM! your abo fic just got more realistic. Idk that's just a thought I had and was like hell yeah that would be cool and it makes it easier to come up with scents for your characters.

I really need fanfic authors to stop naming characters' children after dead relatives and friends. Stop making them put the pressure of living up to their dead family members on their children. I get the whole remembrance thing but no one wants to find out they were named after their father's murdered mother or their mom's terminally ill (& dead) best friend. Seriously.

Okay here's the thing... I need fanfic authors to start clarifying when they tag fics as OT7, OT5, OT9, OT whatever number because some authors mean it romantically and everybody is dating/kissing/fucking everybody. But other authors mean it platonically, either in a friendly or familial way. And you'd think that 'well if they mean it romantically then they would tag all the people as being in a relationship too not just the OT#' but no they don't and then I'm thrown off guard when so-and-so kisses someone else that wasn't tagged in a relationship and casually mentions that they all romantically love each other. Sometimes I'm fine with it but other times that's just not what I'm reading the fic for. So like, can we all just start tagging in a clearer way.

One of my long-standing but rarely talked about pet peeves stems from the overwhelming popularity of Greek and Roman mythology. Not to say that I don't find both interesting and fun to read about but I struggle with their appearance in fics that are rooted in other cultures. If I'm reading a fic about Japanese or Korean characters, I don't want them to be in a Greek or Roman style mythos when their own country has its own rich mythology. I'm sure that even with only a few minutes of research an author could derive enough information to create a plot similar to any that they would otherwise create with Greek or Roman mythology. It just doesn't make sense for me to see a character from an Asian/African/Latin country in a fic set in the Greek or Roman world. I understand the prevalence of Percy Jackson and how fanfic authors often refer back to that but please I want to see characters who are half-blood children of Quetzalcoatl or Hae Mo-su of Buyeo rather than Zeus for once in my life. I'm begging you. It just makes more sense in so many cases.

I just really need authors to start tagging their fanfics with 'first person pov' or something like that because I can't express how much it ruins my day when I click a fic and suddenly I'm reading a first person pov. Plus I would love it if they just stopped writing in first person pov because it is literally the least common in writing and my least favorite pov but I'm not gonna dictate which pov authors use. So please just tag it.

Can some fanfic writers please understand that just because you tag someone as Dom! doesn't mean they're a top! and just because you tag someone Sub! doesn't mean they're a bottom! People like different things ya know and like... I need ✨clarification✨

Wait so I don't know if anybody has made this connection but in the omegle video, when the 'are you ready to obey?' (or whatever it was) person came up ethan was all ready to obey and very disappointed when they left... And NOW ethan has the sex restraints in this (April 3rd's) video!!! I think we all knew this was coming...
