Ok so hear me out-
We all know scents can be an important part of relationship building in the omegaverse and I like to think that scents are so close to the actual thing it's based off of that depending on the person you can actually taste it. The effect of the scent depends on how strong the scent is as well. Ex: Person's scent is strawberries so not only do you smell strawberries, but you taste it to varying degrees when you kiss them based on how much control they have over their scent.
Which brings me to my thought: What if there was an Omega whose sole natural scent was something (like idk vanilla) and weed? And the Alpha that they get with was secretly a pothead?
Like imagine with me real quick;
-First off neither looks how you think. If you see Alpha, you wouldn't even think they would smoke a cigarette, much less a blunt. Omega would look like a 'troublemaker' and their scent wouldn't help assumptions despite them never having a smoke in their life.
-With Omega's scent being partly weed, if anyone smells it for too long, they can accidentally get contact high. It's def more likely to happen when Omega is in heat and it'll also work as an aphrodisiac during heat
-Omega has been on scent blockers for most of their life because they naturally have an overwhelming strong scent and the fact that its weed makes that worse (even though the scent blockers can't hide all of it, best it can do is make it faint asf)
-Alpha is a pothead partly because he has insomnia and so weed helps them sleep. This issue could lead to how they meet (?) and so Omega is almost a god send to them.
-Alpha is down BAD for Omega (ofc lol) and is near addicted because Omega's scent is better than any weed that Alpha has ever had.

Well, I am thinking something like early to mid medieval dress, with a belt and bell-shaped sleeves.
But you reminded me that corset is also a good idea, a more Tudor style dress will also look nice.

i adore the swapping au queen carlos 🥹 despite the world being quite cruel to him he's managed to preserve this softness within his heart. it's such a perfect contrast of him in ootw and in reclaim. in the modern world he's allowing himself to be more gentle and kind and soft because the modern jannik is treating him with care and respect, is protective and reassuring, contrary to how carlos is carrying himself in his world where his super closed off, burnt so many times he's refusing to let himself think he might be cared about.
him being naturally so defiant and proud (i love how he refuses to show even a hint of weakness to his own alpha and maesters) must have made what the king has put him though even more unbearable. it seems like even in the heats he was not quite enjoying himself.
also, regarding the flashback in the last chapter of ootw ☺️ was it the birth of lucas described? it is hinted that carlos had stopped feeling the baby moving and then its so bad they called for the king to make a decision or?... (also so inconsiderate of jannik to make his omega pregnant and leave him alone to deal with it and childbirth and everything that goes after, no wonder carlos does not believe him)
I absolutely love him as well. Just like you said, Queen Carlos is a natrually defiant soul, but he's also soft and kind in the core. In ootw, he is a more experienced character compared to modern Jannik, and he’s acting soft and gentle because modern Jannik is his ideal version of Jannik. He allows his guard down and the contrast to how he carries himself in the medieval world is quite interesting to write. In Reclaim, Carlos struggles to find his old self back, and repair the ruined trust between him and Jannik.
Yes, the birth giving scene is how Lucas was born. The King is not present because it’s not considered an alpha’s duty to accompany the childbirth, so Carlos has to deal with the pain, the fear and everything else all by himself. He had some complications but he managed to overcome them because he fears Jannik’s decision will not favor him. Jannik cares about him and the child of course, but Jannik doesn’t know how to think out of the rules. I can’t wait to depict how they find their way back to each other in Reclaim!
