I see a lot of people headcanoning Keith as being a latch on cuddler, and while I’m all about that, please also consider:

he has slept alone so long in a desert cabin with possibly no air conditioning

boi never wears pants to bed

and he’s defjnitely going to kick all the blankets off the bed even if he’s cold then wake up in the middle of the night like

‘y is it so cold??? cant someone invent some sort of device that keeps you warm at night????? like a dumbass

and his s/o is awake, staring at him like ‘u done ur train of thought so i can pull the BLANKETS back on the bed and we stop living like heathens?’

and keith is like 'wow. my s/o is so smart. blankets. i never would have thought.’

then he coccoons himself in them, so s/o sighs and grabs their own blanket

it’s not like he tries to be selfish with the blankets, he just is so not used to sleeping with anyone else

which is why he also sprawls all over the bed

he tosses and turns too, it’s not unusual to find his head at the bottom of the bed in the morning

keith: yeah its gonna kick in soon

shiro: whats gonna kick in

“I want to kiss you.”

The words left Keith’s mouth before he really processed that they’d been forming on his tongue. Sure, they had been ricocheting in his skull for the past four and a half months, but he’d never once dared to speak them!

Now, though… Now was different. Now he was alone with Lance - properly alone, for the first time in weeks - and he felt that if he didn’t say something, he would explode, and then where would Voltron be? ‘Keith Kogane. Cause of death: he was too gay.’ Right. Sure.
