i think my fav grover moment so far is him saying "also i'm 24" in the middle of a VERY drastic situation where he is trying to prep percy for what he is about to face. yes grover, the most important thing right now is explaining the satyr aging system. i can't wait for percy to bring it up like 5 episodes later when they're on better terms like "what the fuck did you mean when you said you were 24"

I can't remember how much of this is implied canon or my own interpretation, but I fully believed that Chiron recognized Percy was a son of Poseidon from the fountain incident with Nancy Bobofit, knew that a child of the Big Three being claimed would be a total shit show, and simply chose not to say a word about it

rereading percy jackson now that i've lived in new york really makes you realize how rick riordan, native texan, has no idea how nyc works. not once in the original books does anybody take the subway, they're always hailing taxis. how much money do they have rick. do you understand the epic subway battles they could have had.

sally and percy are such an iconic mother son duo they understand eachother so deeply and want the best for eachother, they survived horrible stuff together, they have inside jokes and running gags, they killed a man once
