I know I’m not very active on here anymore, I’m more of a “I’ll check this when I feel like” when it comes to Tumblr anymore. Lately though, this has been my source of comfort since this is the only place where I can find certain content.

I play Love and Deepspace and for anyone that’s aware, they’re under scrutiny right now. I started playing in March of 2024. I kept getting hounded by ads for the game everywhere on my social media. So I downloaded it on a whim and fell in love with the story. I honestly didn’t touch it much after finishing the main story, but then Sylus was announced and I have been logging in almost daily since he was released.

Fast forward to June 22, 2026…Valko was introduced. I was staring to fall out of love with the game (might just be me, but the recent multi banner “Once Upon a Frame” was boring). Valko’s introduction brought a spark back into the game for me. I was looking forward to trying out Valko and seeing his story. Wasn’t entirely sure if he was for me, but I rewatched his trailer more than a than I’d like to admit and he grew on me.

Then on June 30th…They canceled Valko…they canceled a character before he could even make his debut. I’m aware this happens in video games and media (I’m an avid reader and there’s books I’m waiting on that just got pushed back another year or two). It sucks when this happens, but there’s at least communication. This whole situation with Valko got WAY out of control. My emotions have been all over the place with posts I’ve seen in regards to Infold and what’s been happening at their office. No one deserves that treatment. I’m mad at their decision and am still hoping we see Valko sooner rather than later, but I’m honestly done with the toxicity in this fandom.

I’ve spent way too much money on this app. I hit VIP status late 2024 and voiced my opinions on every survey. I feel ignored my Infold. My voice does not feel heard underneath all this discourse, and I’m done. Infold will not get another cent from me unless Valko comes back AS INTENDED. NO CHANGES.

Does no one remember the backlash Sylus got? That CALEB got?? Because I do, and I’m honestly SHOCKED this cancelation of a character didn’t happen after Caleb was announced. I’ll rat myself out, I main Sylus and Caleb. White/Silver haired characters have always been my weakness, and I’ve always adored the “childhood friend” trope. I knew Sylus wasn’t a “good” man. He kidnaps MC for crying out loud. Then there’s Caleb…how in the world the game wasn’t canceled when he came out is beyond me (and trust me when I say I love Caleb. I cried when he “died” in front of MC). Then man not only keeps MC under house arrest, but he LITERALLY DR*GS her under the guise of protecting her! I honestly came so close to leaving the game after that, but I stayed because I loved the limited cards and their stories.

I checked X this afternoon praying for some good news on Valko…Wonder in Wander is the supposed next banner and I’m over it. I’m still praying Infold (aka InFLOP) will make an announcement, but they be been radio silent since July 1st. I understand they’re under a lot of pressure at the moment, but no communication does not set a good tone for them. (And yes, I’m aware they have been getting death threats. I’m not ignoring those. My job deals with those DAILY and we are told to just “move on” and go about our day)

I’m thankful I recorded my favorite cards, but I don’t plan on logging in for a long time. It’s going to suck, but I paid for not only Arum Pass, but I paid for the weekly drops at the beginning of the year. That’s going down the drain at this point, but I can’t support a company that doesn’t listen to the entire fan base. Petitions have been signed, posts have been shared, but it’s clearly obvious to me now that my voice as a Global Player didn’t/doesn’t mean Jack shit. I’m tired, I’m depressed, and I need a break from Social Media. I haven’t officially thrown in the towel. I just need a mental break for a day or two.

If ANYONE and I mean ANYONE wants to talk, reach out. I’m here, I hear you, and I will support you. I turned on all my notifications for Tumblr in case someone just wants to vent. I’ll be away as I mentioned above for a couple days just to protect my mental health.

I also will block anyone who slanders ANY of the LIs OR comes after people for their preferred LI. That’s not what I promote, and I DO NOT tolerate bullying.
