We decided to attempt the cinema on Sunday because Aubrey desperately wanted to see the @lego Batman Movie. (Not as good as the Lego Movie but still very funny and full of cameos and cult references. 4 out of 5 Lego heads.) The staff at the @odeoncinemas Dumfries were great and informed us that if Aubrey needed to leave during the movie that they would give us a refund. Pretty decent. One of the best parts of the weekend was when we took a wrong turn and ended up walking through China town during the Chinese New Year celebrations. Negotiating the packed streets with a sleeping baby in a pram was great fun. I loved trying to circumvent everyone who wasn't looking where they were going and relished having to struggle past the people who just suddenly stopped in front of us to take a photo. The explosions of the fire crackers were just the icing on the cake. Aubrey loved her sleep being disturbed with the sound of a hundred little pops and snaps coming from the circles of cheering tourists. Just about recovered from a trip to London with the family. Travelling with our little drool monster was tough but I'm glad that we did it and proud of what we achieved. Some parts of the weekend didn't exactly go to plan but I did manage to take Aubrey and Kim to the new @lego store! Check out this vinyl-sized cassette cover for the Sesame Street album "Born to add." My dad bought this in New York when I was Aubrey's age (a long long time ago) and I remember it being played quite a bit during my childhood.
