It disappoints me so much that the season 7 Huddy arc was utterly trashed in one season. It eradicated House's earlier development, making him crash a fucking car into Cuddy's home (and hurting Wilson's wrist, I haven't forgiven that either). It also destroyed their friendship. Was the premise of a straight ship so tempting that you took two characters, forced them together and then destroyed them when it was convenient???
I'm pretty sure that the reason Hilson became endgame and not Huddy was because Lisa Edelstein had to leave the show. They would have dramatically broken them up only to have them get together again. Since I'm tired of the show forcing House and Cuddy together, have my headcanons based on how life would be if Cuddy stayed, Hilson got together, and Wilson never came close to dying (aka how I rewrote the ending)
Cuddy still works as Hospital Administrator, and she's very involved with the team, who treat her like an aunt. She often gets them out of trouble and don't you dare mess with House's team, you do not want to piss off Lisa Cuddy, she's a sword lesbian
After their engagement broke off, Cuddy contacted Lucas and spoke to him about how things went down. He forgave her because he realised that they didn't work together any better than House and her did, at least not more than friends. Lucas is a regular visitor to the hospital, he's good friends with House and Wilson
In fact, it was Cuddy and Lucas that hatched the master plan to get Hilson together. Everyone on the team assisted too, and the entire staff of Princeton Plainsboro was made aware that there was a plan. Nobody dared question it
After they finally got together, House decided to move in with Wilson permanently. They have the same home they rented back in season six, and Nora still lives there. She was very amused to hear that they were a couple, announcing that she had predicted that
The team considers House and Wilson as their unofficial parents because one day Chase accidentally called House "dad" which (although he will adamantly deny it) brought him to tears. Wilson is the mom figure, he accepts the role happily
Rachel Cuddy is a part of the hospital life, she comes over on weekends and whenever Cuddy is too busy to come home in the evening, she stays with her uncles House and Wilson. She loves them very much, and she still loves Lucas too, he's the fun one
Since Cuddy's first child was called Joy, Rachel's nickname is Joy, which fits her because she's a ray of sunshine
House and Wilson are the sweetest couple, House adores Wilson's grey McGill sweatshirt (@wilsonbarnes shoutout to you!) and he often plays the piano to help Wilson fall asleep (@aspritecalledpuck this is for you too!). They fit perfectly

House and Wilson got married, amusingly, in Louisiana. House wanted to commemorate their first meeting and Wilson couldn't say no. They finally cleared all charges on Wilson, even having an after party in the same bar that House and Wilson met
They are all happy, together, and most importantly, a family. House is never alone and will never be. He loves his family
