I made this post a long time ago and never posted the follow up post, so here it is. Additional info on Fat tail sheep
Fat tailed sheep is not a single specific breed of sheep. It’s a catchall word like “Health care worker”.
There’s tons and tons of different breeds.
They all store fat in their tails, but fall into two main categories: WIDE tails and LONG tails
Wide tails store fat in the rump area and have no visible tails.
Long tails store fat in the tail itself, which vary in length in different breeds.
In the olden days, people took pride in breeding sheep with the longest tail. They are not so popular today as it’s hard to find a decent tail cart on Amazon.
Speaking of Tail carts, they come in different styles and designs. We dont have any that are actually preserved, but old drawing of them show different wheels harnesses.

Back in the day, breeding sheep with long dragging tails was all the rage.
Nowadays different tails types have been developed to prevent them from dragging their tails on the ground.
Such as the “folded tail” or the “Only fat at the base” Tail
Despite fat tail sheep being the most common sheep breeds in the world, most people in the west have never heard of them.
The West likes Wool Sheep. Fat tails are strictly meat sheep and have little useful wool. They also do poorly in colder climates
There’s a huge community of shepherds on youtube that script, choreograph and shoot elaborate videos for their sheep complete uplifting music to highlight their best qualities (for sale and stud) It is fantastic. Such as this one:
People kept bringing up Fat Bottomed Girls. Ya’ll are wrong. These are fat bottomed BOYS. Sheep are often continuously bred, so the females are constantly getting pregnant, giving birth and nursing.
That’s very hard on the body, so they can’t build up as much fat as the boys.
The fattest sheep, the ones with the truly VAST tails, rocking them little carts are ALWAYS males.
This is why the Bible specifically states that ONLY the rumps of the Males are to fit to be offered to the lord……

I may or may not have forgotten Ahtal-Ka existed for a hot second, and was considering Seregios or even Nargacuga, but then I realized that Ahtal-Ka was just made for Aglaea since it's a golden bug with equally golden silk. Also I think Aglaea piloting Ahtal-Ka's giant gundam would be very funny.
I really wish there was an endgame level pack monster to match with Tribios, but in a way little Izuchi fits little Tribbie. That new bird wyvern with its possibly jet based propulsion is actually a better fit to Tribbie's rockets, but it doesn't even have an official name as of posting this.
Do note that Mydei's monstie is specifically BASE Rajang, not Furious. Mydei is no berserker, and neither is the great ape capable of tracking and hunting an Elder Dragon capable of teleportation.
If you were paying too much attention to trying not to die during the Alatreon fight, you might not have noticed that during Escaton Judgement, Alatreon poses very similarly to Netherwing during the explosion. The often forgotten Estrellian from MH Online is also butterfly themed, but in the end Vaal Hazak is the obvious choice for the undead dragon aesthetic and deadly effluvium aura.
I am SO proud of myself for thinking of Larinoth for Anaxa. Sure Garangolm and Duramboros are both plant related and green, but are they Dromas shaped? I think not.
Hyacine really fought me on this one. One criticism I have for MonHun as a whole is that nearly all ecology related stuff, especially for higher tier monsters, is 'how to kill stuff better.' There's not much room for a 'healer' archetype as a result. (Pink) Rathian caring for its young was the closest thing I could think up. And yes Kirin is the best fit for Little Ica being a unicorn, but idk it doesn't fit quite right. I also considered Narwa/Ibushi, Amatsu, or Shantien to reference Aquila's power, but that didn't fit right either.
Chameleos's trickster and thief personality fits Cipher, but cmon. fast cat gotta have a fast cat.
At first I didn't like Fatalis for Phainon. Too much evil to be matched with the Deliverer. But then I thought about the lore behind Fatalis's armor set, and realized that lore of the armor warping the user into an unrecognizable monster was an incredible parallel to the coreflames corrupting Khaslana into the Flame Reaver. After that I realized that Khaslana had to have a different monstie than Phainon, and once that idea was had everything fell into place. Especially since Fatalis and Rathalos technically share a leitmotif, and Rathalos is essentially the poster child for Monster Hunter as a whole.
While Hysilens aesthetically matches Namielle's dark cloak and luminescent belly, and the whale of her ult matches Ceadeus, I specifically chose (non-Ivory) Lagiacrus as a purposeful parallel to how her story was all about not being suited to the land above the waves. (Aglaea would say she should have a Jyuratodus to match her stench, for the record)
While Lunastra's blue fire fits Cerydra's aesthetic better, MH Frontier's Guanzorumu is just a better thematic fit for our Imperator. Guan's title is literally the Imperial Conqueror Dragon after all. Guanzorumu for Ascendance pls
While Malfestio's mind altering state and the Magala's Frenzy can parallel Evey's enigmatic power, Xu Wu being a horror themed cephalod just fits better. Plus, Xu Wu is one of the few confirmed monsters to have actually eaten someone in Monhun. Add that to how the white coat of Memokeepers kinda resembles the white coats of the Guardian monsters and the Keepers, and it was an easy choice.
Obviously the deciding factor on choosing Shara Ishvalda is because Samudrartha is a banger, duh. Seriously though, Shara's buddhist theming and geokinectic powers are an incredible fit for DHPT.
Cyrene and White Fatalis, much like Phainon and base Fatalis, was a choice I was a little unsure of at first. White Fatalis's malice and red lightning is more of an Irontomb thing, after all. But then I thought about how White Fatalis is implied to be the ancestor of every wyvern, how some say in certain quests you fight it in a dream, and it started to come together. Velkhana is more of a match for her grace and ice powers though, but that's more aesthetic than thematic.
