I’m just going to leave this here
I don’t think the main goal is mass deportation. I’m at work rn and will elaborate.
Currently there are huge detainment camp being built in Texas for ICE. Slavery is legal in the case of prisoners. “How will we have field workers if they’re all in detainment camps?” Girl they will still be field workers, but under the thumb of for-profit prisons owners. Will elaborate further w/ but do you see what I’m saying??
Once more: if slavery is legal in the case of prisoners according to the constitution, if Texas (who has the largest amount of profit prisons) and Mississippi both have plans on building large scale detainment camps for undocumented immigrants to hold them indefinitely as per one of Trump’s executive orders, and if there is a large labor vacuum as undocumented immigrants are arrested and in hiding, what do you think is about to happen?
The insidious thing is that OF COURSE groceries are going to seem cheaper because of slave labor. Of course American produce will suddenly be cheaper because… of slave labor. But the thing is, we live in a post scarcity society, we grow and produce in excess to the point where groceries should be cheaper than they are. One peek into Rednote shows that American corn is sold for the equivalent of 90¢ a kilo in china- the same corn is sold for $7 a kilo here. It is INFURIATING that big corporations run amuck, charging more and more for “record profits” EVERY YEAR.
Anyways. I am BEGGING you to start a garden. I researched most of the information I need during work. I am going to set up a little hydroponic garden in my apartment. There are so many free resources, and I’m handy enough to put everything together myself, but you can buy the labs online. Grow veggies, herbs, and vines than you like.
And I understand there is “no ethical consumption under capitalism” but we have to, on a WIDE scale, put our money where our mouth is and boycott any produce that utilizes slave labor. This is something I already do. If I don’t have money for fair trade certified chocolate, I don’t buy chocolate, it’s not that fucking hard. Go to farmers market. Start a victory garden. Talk with neighbors and barter. Walk their dogs if they’re sick. Be kind. Be firm.
It is going to be fucking tough but we need to have each other’s backs on this. Do not give up on this country. Do not give up on your friends and family. Fight for your future. Fight for the future of the kids born today.
I’ve been saying this to anyone who will listen. The goal is not going to be deportation, that’s too expensive. It’s going to be chattel slavery.
Reblogging with @seimsisk's tags because
#“oh the government is arresting thousands of people to use as slave labor” “plant a garden!”#do you hear how tone deaf that is#planting a garden will do nothing to help the situation#by all means plant gardens but it will NOT help with the problem of incarceration and slavery#the problem is 100% political you need to call your representatives and join protests
^^ Refusing to participate in the system on an individual level will not change that system.
Yes? We do have to call our representatives and get involved with local government. That’s what I meant by fighting. I already do this, I expect other people to already be doing this. It’s literally step one.
Boycotts on a large scale do work, which is why I’m asking people to boycott anything that is a product slave labor. With produce, I figured starting a garden would help people with that first step. This isn’t “white person asking people to start a garden in an uwu aesthetic way,” this is “Latino person asking people to boycott slavery products, here are a couple of alternatives.”
Comments by @neveronsundays make great points.
im a bit of a pointless hater about certain usages of the term “monsterfucker” bc i think it’s often one of those things people say but don’t believe with their whole chest. like if all the “monsters” you like are vampires and similar mopey human-looking folks it’s possible you are actually just into goths. Let’s not dilute the beautiful world of teratophilia for our bloodborne sex soldiers out there fucking and sucking in yharnam or whatever. Anyone on earth would fuck a vampire. that’s vanilla
Don't you DARE gatekeep monsterfucking OP, all fuckers of all monsters are valid. If one person mostly prefers the twink bodytype and another prefers the bear bodytype, they're both still attracted to men. Some people fuck monsters because of the taboo of finding something dangerous or other than "human" attractive and some people fuck monsters because they want to feel a tentacle force their butthole open like an anteater snout into a termite mound. All of us are nasty freaks and there's no need to create unneeded barriers between us.
if we’re considering essentially cannibalistic human people with bad teeth to be monsters we must include those who are attracted to British people under the banner of monsterfucking lest someone feel invalidated
So I have a theory about this:
The "attraction to vampires and other mostly-human monsters" end of the spectrum gets debated like this because it is both monsterfucking AND normie at the same time. It also has its equal and opposite twin in wanting to fuck a person so idealized they no longer resemble a human.
Hear me out. (Long post under the cut)
Actually I'd like to revise my opinion a bit because I'm hydrated now and my friend in chat pointed out that my "inhumanity of form" and "recognition of personhood" are just two of the MANY axes upon which the monsterfuckerness of anything can be judged, so I propose this:
Kink in general, but ESPECIALLY monsterfucking, is the exploration of what could be. Playing Imagination, if you will. Therefore, it's opposite is a total lack of imagination.
Since it's extremely weird for a human to be totally without creativity, what you get is a bimodal distribution on either side with a sharp dip in the middle, where the vast majority of people are into something A Little Weird, tapering out the Spiders Georgs out there who want to be actually jacked off by the invisible hand of the marketplace or suchlike esoteric and unachievable fantasies.
Hence, wanting to fuck a vampire is both monsterfucking and normie at the same time.
An Example Graph for people that didn't take stats back in high school: The distribution of attraction on the Hyperhuman-to-Inhuman Anatomical Axis of Monster Fuckery (one of MANY axes of monsterfuckery)
Figure 1: classic Nonhuman Antatomical Form Monsterfucker Spectrum
Figure 2: Proposed Inverse of the previous spectrum, AKA "Hyperhuman Anatomical Form" Monsterfucker Spectrum:
Figure 3: The full spectrum of Deviance From Human Anatomy Axis of Monsterfuckery:
My theory is that you can analyze "Monsterfuckery" on various axes (inhumanity of form, social monstrosity, etc.) and the population distribution will shake out the same way.
@monstrousdesirestudy thoughts?
This is unbelievably cool!!! I completely agree that attraction to vampires is both monsterfuckery and “vanilla”. Knowing as I do that vampires are thee most popular monster in the pantheon, and how part of their monstrosity is the terror that they look Just Like Us and we don’t know what they are, it does create a sort of paradox of monstrosity and humanity. But that’s actually why they are monstrous because they deny categorical neatness! They are both living and dead—sometimes human looking (depends on the depictions) but incredibly monstrous. I’m absolutely thrilled that this person did all these graphs and I’m even more excited that @teratophiliologist and I have questions on our upcoming monsterfucker survey that will also address this topic! (IRB hurry your ass up). I would answer this more but I also lowkey just woke up lmao so I’m a bit groggy so I’ll return to it
In summation: people are great at building gates. Like, SO great.

There was an interesting thread on Bluesky dissecting Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett's relationship
TL:DR - It seems like Gaiman has been exaggerating the level of closeness between them for YEARS

This tweet lives rent-free in my head now. Hands-down the best comment about the relationship between art and artist.
I’m not naming names because I’m not trying to start anything but I’m seeing several mutuals claiming they always knew Gaiman was a bad egg and it was so obvious, as though they didn’t make me stand in line with them to get his signature and kept their signed copies of his books on a special shelf akin to a shrine.
And like, listen, you don’t need to pretend.
This isn’t the devil’s sacrament. You’re not tainted by association. You’re not morally bad for not immediately knowing when someone is being charming and persuasive to hide something they don’t want you to know.
Abusers don’t just groom their victims. They groom their witnesses too. You were never supposed to know something was wrong because it was intentionally hidden. It’s okay you didn’t know. You don’t need to act like you never liked him or his work. You don’t need to pretend. But you do need to stop being shitty to other people who also didn’t know because it reeks of victim blaming.
“Well I knew, so how come others didn’t?”
His victims were fans. Are you blaming them for not knowing?
Christ alive, I hope not.
I want to step away from the art-vs-artist side of the Gaiman issue for a bit, and talk about, well, the rest of it. Because those emotions you're feeling would be the same without the art; the art just adds another layer.
Source: I worked with a guy who turned out to be heavily involved in an international, multi-state sex-slavery/trafficking ring.
He was really nice.
Yeah.
It hits like a dumptruck of shit. You don't feel stable in your world anymore. How could someone you interacted with, liked, also be a truly horrible person? How could your judgement be that bad? How can real people, not stylized cartoon bogeymen, be actually doing this shit?
You have to sit with the fact that you couldn't, or probably couldn't, have known. You should have no guilt as part of this horror — but guilt is almost certainly part of that mess you're feeling, because our brains do this associative thing, and somehow "I liked [the version of] the guy [that I knew]", or his creations, becomes "I made a horrible mistake and should feel guilty."
You didn't, loves, you didn't.
We're human, and we can only go by the information we have. And the information we have is only the smallest glimpse into someone else's life.
I didn't work closely with the guy I knew at work, but we chatted. He wasn't just nice; he was one of the only people outside my tiny department who seemed genuinely nice in a workplace that was rapidly becoming incredibly toxic. He loaned me a bike trainer. Occasionally he'd see me at the bus stop and give me a lift home.
Yup. I was a young woman in my twenties and rode in this guy's car. More than once.
When I tell this story that part usually makes people gasp. "You must feel so scared about what could have happened to you!" "You're so lucky nothing happened!"
No, that's not how it worked. I was never in danger. This guy targeted Korean women with little-to-no English who were coerced and powerless. A white, fluent, US citizen coworker wasn't a potential victim. I got to be a person, not prey.
Y'know that little warning bell that goes off, when you're around someone who might be a danger to you? That animal sense that says "Something is off here, watch out"?
Yeah, that doesn't ping if the preferred prey isn't around.
That's what rattled me the most about this. I liked to think of myself as willing to stand up for people with less power than me. I worked with Japanese exchange students in college and put myself bodily between them and creeps, and I sure as hell got that little alarm when some asian-schoolgirl fetishist schmoozed on them. But we were all there.
I had to learn that the alarm won't go off when the hunter isn't hunting. That it's not the solid indicator I might've thought it was. That sometimes this is what the privilege of not being prey does; it completely masks your ability to detect the horrors that are going on.
A lot of people point out that 'people like that' have amazing charisma and ability to lie and manipulate, and that's true. Anyone who's gotten away with this shit for decades is going to be way smoother than the pathetic little hangers-on I dealt with in university. But it's not just that. I seriously, deeply believe that he saw me as a person, and he did not extend personhood to his victims. We didn't have a fake coworker relationship. We had a real one. And just like I don't know the ins-and-outs of most of my coworkers lives, I had no idea that what he did on his down time was perpetrate horrors.
I know this is getting off the topic, but it's so very important. Especially as a message to cis guys: please understand that you won't recognize a creep the way you might think you will. If you're not the preferred prey, the hind-brain alarm won't go off. You have to listen to victims, not your gut feeling that the person seems perfectly nice and normal. It doesn't mean there's never a false accusation, but face the fact that it's usually real, and you don't have enough information to say otherwise.
So, yeah. It fucking sucks. Writing about this twists my insides into tense knots, and it was almost a decade ago. I was never in danger. No one I knew was hurt!
Just countless, powerless women, horrifically abused by someone who was nice to me.
You don't trust your own judgement quite the same way, after. And as utterly shitty as it is, as twisted up and unstead-in-the-world as I felt the day I found out — I don't actually think that's a bad thing.
I think we all need to question our own judgement. It makes us better people.
I don't see villains around every corner just because I knew one, once. But I do own the fact that I can't know, really know, about anyone except those closest to me. They have their own full lives. They'll go from the pinnacles of kindness to the depths of depravity — and I won't know.
It's not a failing. It's just being human. Something to remember before you slap labels on people, before you condemn them or idolize them. Think about how much you can't know, and how flawed our judgement always is.
Grieve for victims, and the feeling of betrayal. But maybe let yourself off the hook, and be a bit slower to skewer others on it.

Absolutely horrifying
the claim that current police brutality in the US represents colonial policing ‘coming home’ completely ignores the reality that US policing is already colonial policing, and always has been. US cops and IOF don’t have a one-way relationship in either direction — they SHARE training and technology in a MUTUAL exchange. if we're seeing an escalation in police violence against protesters specifically (and honestly I don't think we are — they murdered Tortuguita and plausibly assassinated as many as 6 Ferguson organizers; there are no red lines for cops when it comes to suppressing Black and Native uprisings), it's because they regrouped and fortified after the 2020 protests. cop cities are popping up all over the country, not because cops are becoming more violent but because they're afraid of losing the upper hand over the populations they exist to do violence towards
some of you are so excited to use the term foucault’s boomerang that you fully forget the US is a settler colony itself
Once again asking why there was a music festival at the edge of the world's largest open air prison where people were dancing and partying while people were being starved and imprisoned so close to them. How is that a "peaceful" festival.
