Honestly, I was surprised by how many people seem to like that story. When I wrote it I wasn't expecting it to get as much attention as it did. I'm very sorry that I haven't been able to update it in like a month 😭 school has been keeping me pretty busy, but I have been steadily chipping away at chapter 2.
The first scene is almost done, so I'm about... Mhh... Maybe 20% finished with the chapter?
Since you and everybody else have been so patient while waiting, I'm more than happy to give you a sneak peak!
As for chapters 3, I don't really have anything that I can share that will make any sense 😅 It's just random bits of dialogue in a word document that I didn't want to forget haha. It won't make any sense to anyone but me, but rest assured I am steadily working at finishing both!

Presenting Dungeon Week 2026! It came to me in a dream!
Literally. Had a dream, like, on the night between Thursday and Friday that I was writing a Vigcup whump fic for an event called "Dungeonweek" and even the card's colorscheme came from it.
The prompts are obvious, inspired by the overal captivity whump trope. And although I did mention that a Httyd ship inspired this one, it's not a solely Httyd fandom event, every fandom is welcome.

Ohhh 🥰 thank you for the ask! My Sorcerer's Apprentice AU is titled: "If Only". Idk if I'll keep that name, but it's what I came up with.
Since the story is told through Viggo's perspective, I thought that the title might work as a lament: If only the grimhold weren't so important, if only Hiccup were actually his son, if only things were different, if only...
For those of you who don't know. I was inspired by @hijacksecrets Sorcerer's Apprentice fanart, where Viggo kidnaps Hiccup as a baby after Stoick acquires the grimhold. So they're at a sort of stalemate and Viggo ends up raising Hiccup as his son, because he is the chosen one and carries immense power.
I thought there was a lot of potential for interesting drama, so I'm trying to write a one shot from Viggo's perspective as it goes through the different stages of Hiccup's growth. With Viggo growing increasingly attached to his adopted son, to the point where he grows to genuinely love Hiccup. Only for things to go horribly wrong when Hiccup discovers the truth.
(Note: This isn't vigcup fyi! Their relationship is strictly familial in this instance!)

I wasn't actually expecting anyone to ask about my WIP's 😅 but I guess I'll start with: "Beneath a Moonless Sky". It's the sequel that I have planned for my other fic: "It's A Dangerous Game".
After a one night stand with Viggo, trans!Hiccup becomes pregnant and upon discovering it, Viggo starts scheming to acquire both of them.
I don't have much, but I wrote out the scene that popped into my head when Hiccup is confronted by Viggo after he's captured. Here's a snippet from the scene:
Some things may get changed, Idk if things will play out this way when I finally get there. But I wanted to at least write some of it out. Maybe that's weird, idk??? 😂
As for my Goosebumps fic, that's a bit harder to explain. Long story short, I am a huuuge Goosebumps fan! I adore that cheesy show so much! However, I never did read many of the books growing up and when I decided to read some last October, most of the ones based on my favourite episodes are pretty decent. That is except for one series...
The Night of the Living Dummy books are legit horrendous. Like... they are BAD bad. I could go on a whole dissection of just how uneventful and meandering these books are. They just irritate me so much. For a character who has essentially become the mascot of the series, Slappy is a very poorly written character in the books. Slappy doesn't even show up in the first book until the very last paragraph. I'm not kidding!
R. L. Stine just seems so... bizarelly disinterested in his own premis of an evil dummy and he never takes advantage of the idea much. The show does a much better job of portraying Slappy to be a sinister and threatening presence, even if it is kind of goofy.
The idea sort of stemmed from a desire to have a more satisfying Goosebumps story. I was frustrated by some of the tropes within the series (such as parents who never believe their children/siblings who are legit terrible to each other), and I wanted to subvert them. I also wanted to explore Slappy's character more and create main characters who are sympathetic. So I came up with an idea where a young boy has a strong relationship with his older sister, and even though his sister doesn't initially believe him about Slappy. After things start happening, the sister begins to piece together that something is wrong, and the bond the siblings have is what saves the day in the end!
Though I may sound like I'm ragging on Stine, I do love his Goosebumps and Fear Streets series. I just think the Goosebumps series being made for kids severely limited what he was able to do with his stories at times. Night of the Living Dummy being the worst case of it.
So in essence, I wrote this story for myself, to make a Goosebumps story that I always wanted to see. The first chapter is almost fully finished too. Maybe I'll post it to AO3 🤷♀️ but I didn't think many people would be interested in a Night of the Living Dummy rewrite lol.

I'm not dead, just been severely burned out from school lol. I haven't abandoned my projects though and hopefully the list of WIP's will prove it. @rachelteazer's short fanfic "Can you stay?" inspired me so much, and it also made me think of a few ideas I have for redeemed/thegn Viggo. The scene she wrote is so lovely, and I'm so, so weak for how Viggo was portrayed! I love that flavour of softness, yearning, and pining... soooo I had to combine these ideas and put them down somewhere. I leave it up to your interpretation of whether Hiccup will stay or not, though!

Not sure if it was noticeable, but these are Hiccup's and Viggo's swords! Both of their swords are lying on top of maps, which normally indicates peace-talking, militarily speaking. There's an ale cup completely empty, as well! Busy night.
The maps were aligned in a way that would lead to Hiccup's freckles! The same brush was used for both the little writings and his freckles, too.
Did you notice Viggo's earring? It's a mix of some runes: ᚼ ('hagall', which means "power", "force", generally associated with strength or natural phenomena), ᛚ ('lagu', which means "sea", "flow" or even "home") and ᛒ ('beorc', which means "growth" and "renewal"). "The power to grow and find home." If you're thinking that such a home would be Hiccup, you'd be correct!
These two panels are paralleling each other! They're following the same angle, yet Hiccup is looking away from Viggo, while Viggo's gaze is fixed on him. Hiccup is also looking at the only place in the comic where there are no flames, meanwhile, Viggo doesn't mind the flames! One has a perspective from down below, one from up above. Also, Hiccup's panel is smaller, suggesting he might be feeling insecure.
Lastly, did you notice Hiccup's little scar? Viggo is slightly pulling Hiccup's cheek, which shows his scar: lighter than his skin tone because it's already healed. It contrasts with Viggo's own face scar, which is huge and darker than his skin because it hasn't healed yet!
