Super Kawaii Clumsy Flying Monster!

Come on, come on. After reading the last chapter I feel like the arc is nearing its end. Time to decide Madarame, TIME TO DECIDE.

When you die for the stupidest mistake. I’m not what you call a Dark Souls expert nor am I familiar with Demon’s Souls. 

My trial and errors with gargoyle boss tho... 

1) Got too close to the edges enough to get knocked off...

2) Two gargoyles pinning you down is not the prettiest sight ever... (got burnt over)

3) Couldn’t heal in time

4) Solaire got trashed hard, becoming a 2 vs 1 fight. 

Such jolly joy though! Feels good when you actually beat it. The price? Like 4-5 Humanity used. Which... I think I can farm over. 

I’ve been catching up with Genshiken lately. As a guy who believes to be really open-minded I can’t help but to root for Hato and there’s so many reasons why, basically it all boils down to character development. Those rooting for Sue should ask themselves when was the last time Sue had any decent character development when her character is only there for comedy relief, as much as it hurts to say. 

The attention the mangaka has given to Hato has been surprisingly INCREDIBLE. Hato actually has a lot of history starting from an (insecure) guy who likes to crossdress and buy BL manga. To a character that is within the process of redefining what he wants to be (still in process). I would be lying if I said I hated it. I don’t hate it; I love it. A lot of people feel “offended” or just act incredibly immature on how this is seen as “gayyyy, genshiken is ruined”. Genshiken has always been a seinen manga (a manga for _young_ adults 18 to 25+). 

The beauty of it is how Madarame is pretty much accepting Hato for who he is. Internally it feels like he can’t bring himself to say the words that he wants Hato to be there; which is totally in his persona to be spineless and to be a coward. Yet, in recent chapters he’s becoming more “aggressive” about it. I’d like to think that he has already decided but is yet to unable and accept the social shackles that comes with it. 

As for the other girls such as Keiko? I think she just wants to be the woman in the series. Once Keiko gets what she wants she will get rid of him after a month, maybe six month. I don’t think her as a character that cares for Madarame. 

Sue and the others? Well... Sue’s far from becoming the girl for him. Heck, the way he treats her is just as a friend. Angela is going nowhere, mostly has to do with the language barrier so... unless she magically learns japanese and makes some effort to communicate with Madarame on her own then bleh, she’s just a stepping stone.
