dear god please kill whatever this shit is
THIS THING IS STILL AROUND???? isnt it illegal??
kokobot is a (conditionally) HIPAA-breaking chatgpt data harvester that is owned by AirBNB and that i genuinely thought had been fully exposed and expunged years ago. it's that bad
please can we stop describing bigots as delusional. please. im so fucking tired. someone being sucked into a hate group surrounded by others who believe minorities should be oppressed and encouraging them to believe in conspiracy theories that the rest of the group believes, is fundamentally different from someone having a mental illness that causes delusions.
delusions, by definition, cannot be explained by things like cultural background - such as having a belief constantly reinforced by intentional attempts to rationalize it for the sake of maintaining power over minorities. yes, someone can be both delusional and a bigot, and yes conspiracy theories can feed into delusions, but the two are not fucking synonymous.
i did not spend my teen years convinced that i was being stalked by demons just to hear so many of you people equate my disability with incel behavior and genocidal propaganda. stop reinforcing harmful connotations about mental health struggles.
this echoes how cities like seattle have been fencing off areas where poor/unhoused people visibly hang out. in late 2020 after the George Floyd uprisings were quelled, seattle fenced off a bunch of its public parks under the guise of "health concerns" or "turf maintenance," a transparent lie meant to launder the city's desire to make any kind of public protest or reminder of civil dysfunction illegal.
when presented with the threat of mass resistance, the liberal state will bend over backwards to create rose-scented fascism that they don't have to feel bad about, that can't be argued with because any narrative that isn't the official one is roundly rejected as hysterical and unfounded.
it doesn't matter how seemingly minor or common-sense the changes being requested are, nor their relative popularity. anyone pressing for change from outside the accepted venues is de facto a terrorist, and the state does not negotiate with terrorists.
theres bikes around the city you can rent but you have to use an app that needs your drivers license. theres buses that drive right to your destination, but if you dont have change you need the app. you can wash your car here if you sign into the app. you can go to the bathroom here you just have to unlock it with the app that needs your location on. you can order at this restaurant if you scan the code and download the app. im losing my freaking mind
I got my phone and wallet stolen once and the amount of things I couldnât fucking do without The App was bonkers. I couldnât order an Uber or the bus home because no phone or wallet, so I had to walk home based on directions written on a sticky note. I couldnât do my laundry even though I had change in my apartment because my buildingâs laundry machines required The App. I couldnât log into my school email because my schoolâs email requires two factor authentication and will ONLY take a phone number, not another email address. I had a hard as fuck time getting new cards set up with my bank because in order to do that I needed to log into The App. I couldnât get any packages that were delivered to me because my buildingâs locker system was app based. So on and so forth.
We should not have this fucking single point of failure like this.

I have a piece of tumblr history on my blog now
What the-
I havenât seen this in about 4 years. Iâm glad itâs back.
Tell a European person that their idea of an ethnostate is extremely racist and based in extreme white supremacist ideas and watch what sort of bullshit they will come up with when you say that a brown person can be swedish
This smells like an experienced statement, is there a grander story here?
I'm an immigrant from Poland, to Sweden I'm not brown myself but my first job I had was a cleaning job where I almost exclusively worked with other immigrants and refugees who were mostly brown, a lot of them had kids here in Sweden and pretty much everyone didn't feel "swedish" enough to call themselves a Swede despite you know, living in sweden, speaking swedish, paying swedish taxes, etc. it just felt really strange and the constant urging of Swedish nationalists to say these people are not us, these people are brown and that makes them not swedish. I have met a lady who was adopted by Swedish family when she was a little baby and she still got the same treatment because she is asian, same with her kids, despite sweden being the only country they ever really experienced growing up they still were gatekept from calling themselves swedish.
As for Poland, not much better. There's a constant nationalist idea that a real polish person is white and catholic. Every time I see a video of a black person speaking polish on Instagram or wherever there's always bound to be some moron whining that these people are not polish and that they want them out. That this is OUR home, that we don't want these outsiders, these queers. That immigrants are nothing more than a waste of taxes and housing (sentiment shared in both countries and many more European countries) they try to hide it by saying they just want the "illegal" ones out but I don't buy it. You can make anybody illegal with enough pushes of a pen. A person cannot be illegal and I thought Poland is supposedly famed for its hospitality but I guess I'm wrong.
And just, anybody who says European civilization or western civilization, I straight up don't like. White supremacist ideas are so crazy prevalent in Europe and everyone sweeps it under the rug. Casual racism is insanely common, and normal. I mean.
This is a polish brand of margarine, which has a extremely racist caricature of a black person as their mascot.
Or you know a chocolate swedish snack that's literally called "china salty snacks" and the China on the packaging is wearing a straw hat.
It's gross, and people don't want to admit Europe is extremely racist and that we get on a high horse about america while sweeping our sins under the rug. I don't care if amount of suffering is measured in grams or ounces, it's still the same fucking thing
genuine piece of advice for punks, activists, and everyone else honestly: any form of leftist infighting is a waste of your time.
focus on the task at hand: improving living and quality of life conditions for your community. unionize. donate to food banks. cooperate with organizations like food not bombs to distribute free hot meals. volunteer at libraries. participate in homeless outreach. give people access to resources in your community. organize and participate in protests. create organizations, groups, and gathering spots for queer folk in your area who need safe places to go and find community.
help people find access to HRT, surgery and other gender affirming care. carry, hand out, and administer narcan (naloxone). help recovering people get to rehabilitation, methadone clinics and so on. help addicted people practice harm reduction and use safely. help give out menstrual kits to homeless and low income people who have periods. help people get into housing programs. help disabled people apply for disability (SSI and SSDI) and disability lawyers. help disabled people find work or income resources that are accessible to them. donate blood and/or plasma if you can. care for people with HIV and AIDS.
help people apply for food stamps, medicaid, bill and rent assistance. help disabled people find case managers and caregivers. call local lawmakers to voice your opinions on current events. advocate for disadvantaged queers in your area. establish and participate in mutual aid funds. spread awareness and advocate online. write about and share your experiences with disadvantages, abuse and other problems you've faced in life for who you are. gather and organize with people with shared experiences. start or volunteer at a community garden. deliver meals to the elderly. volunteer at a homeless shelter.
organize fundraisers for, spread awareness of, and donate to:
Palestine
Sudan
Congo
i don't care if someone's activism looks different from yours: there are a TON of ways to improve and make change in your and the global community. doing ONE of these is enough, finding a singular way to improve your community is a better use of your time than arguing. everyone can find ways to be good to each other.
rehashing the same talking points, reading between the lines, accusing someone of identifying with politics they've never advocated for, and making baseless accusations isn't helping. it's not fixing anything. mobilize. advocate. stand up for your community and its rights. take action. now. i mean it. we must.
help each other.
No disability makes everyone in this ableist society understanding of and supportive of your needs. There's just no such thing as a diagnosis so serious that it makes everyone play nice. The paralyzed person in the powerchair and the terminal cancer patient are also facing ableist bullshit, inaccessibility and discrimination.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has a message to local governments: clear homeless encampments now or lose out on state funding next year.
9 Aug 24
Fun fact: Every time a homeless camp is cleared, people lose important legal documents like IDs and birth certificates. They lose letters and cards from loved ones. They lose photos of their families. They lose the ashes of dead loved ones that they've carried with them since losing housing. They lose treasured possessions, heirlooms, keepsakes, etc. Sometimes camps get cleared (unannounced) while people are away (maybe begging, maybe even traveling to see a loved one). They don't get the chance to pack anything up, so all of their things are taken or destroyed by the police. Many times all of this is done purely to move the camp a few hundred feet so it's more out of view so that "regular people" don't have to see homelessness.
i forget who made the post but "if you would transition in a heartbeat in a more accepting society then you are in fact trans" really helps me when i need it
Btw, this is true even if you decide that, due to not being in an accepting society, you are never going to transition. If that's you, I'm sorry that that's your situation, and I hope that someday you are in a safer environment so that you can live the life that you want to live. But even if you can never show it, even if you have to remain closeted for your entire life... you're still part of the trans community, and you can still call yourself trans in places where it is safe for you to do so, and you still belong in online trans spaces.
"neurodivergent" means disabled. it means disabled in some way involving cognition/emotion/sociability/mental abilities. it is a call to solidarity between the person with adhd, the autistic person, the depressed person, the dyslexic person, the schizophrenic person, the ocd haver, the intellectually disabled person, the person with dementia, the epileptic person, the stroke survivor, anyone who has a mental disability. it's a call to each of us to be more than ourselves, to be in solidarity against the ableism that affects all of us.
it isn't a quirky fashion statement. it has always been about disability
Actually my favorite replacement for both 'kill myself' jokes and jokes about reacting violently to things/people that upset me is "I'm going to end up on the news" like it's versatile, it's vague, it's not going to get me in trouble with any censors or websites that take joke threats seriously, it's family friendly while still getting the point across, what's not to love???
one time i was in an olive garden bathroom and my packer fell out of my shorts and this ten year old boy just looked at me with absolute terror and without thinking i said "that's what happens when you don't eat your vegetables" later i saw him eating salad at a speed no human should be capable of

The window visual did me in Iâm wheezing
I havenât seen this in years and yet it is burned into my memory forever.
Iâve seen this post countless times and EVERYTIME it makes me laugh til I cry
Ty so much op
In the never-ending quest to alleviate my migraines, I bought a special angled pillow that lets you sleep on your side while your arm just kind of hangs through a whole in the middle. I did this because Iâm a left-sided sleeper, always have been.
Until my neck subluxated and now I canât sleep on that side without compressing some vital nerves and blood arteries. I also canât sleep on my back right now because the pressure compresses my occipital nerve. Basically sleeping has been a nightmare recently, but thatâs not the point of this post.
The point was I brought this up in physical therapy to talk about how great this pillow is because I can now sleep on my right side without the stupid thing going numb or waking me up because it hurts. And my PT was like wow, great! How did you sleep on your left side for so long without it being an issue?
And I said, oh thatâs easy. I just tuck that shoulder out of the way.
And she said, ...what?
And I said, yeah, I just tuck it out the way. Not like my right shoulder. That one doesnât move as well. It just hurts, I think thereâs something wrong with it.
And my physical therapist asked me to demonstrate what I mean when I say I âtuck my shoulder out of the way,â and haha, youâre never going to believe this, turns out Iâve just been casually pulling my left shoulder out of the socket for, oh, letâs see, 30 years? And then napping on it like hmmnm yess comfy.
Anyway. I looked up from my demonstration and my physical therapist was making this face:
The funniest part for me was that I refused to believe I was dislocating it. I was like no, see, it just moves like that, and as I reached to manually manipulate my shoulder with my other hand she reached out, put her hand over mine and in the gentlest, firmest voice said, âNo.â
I felt like a toddler being gentle parented by a mother doing her absolute best to use her âgentleâ voice and not yell after watching their child lick a fork and attempt to stick it in an electrical outlet.
Turns out that rheumatologist who said I had zero hypermobility and just needed to exercise more was full of shit. We already knew this. But itâs good to have it reconfirmed.
Also, did you guys know itâs not normal to be able to tip your head back and touch your shoulder blades with the back of your skull with zero resistance from your neck? Wild. Anyway. Iâm sure thatâs not compressing anything vital or relevant to my crippling migrainesâŚ
