Lavaship headcanons (tickling edition)
All the Ninja follow each other on social media, but for some reason, Cole kept his tumblr a secret from everyone. Kai did a little digging (and by digging I mean peeking at his phone when Cole thinks he can't see) and eventually found it!
Turns out it's a tickling blog.
Kai managed to have a moment alone with him to ask about it. Cole regretted life for a minute before finally coming clean. Kai of course had a lot of questions, but Cole had an answer for every single one of them. Kai asked how it feels to him, how deep it goes, the community's terminology, etc.
Cole's mother used to tickle him a lot when he was a little kid, so tickling is a cozy and positive experience to him.
He never shared this with anyone because, in his words, "Coming out of the feather closet is like if a superhero made their secret identity public; It only attracts the kind of attention you don't want."
Kai swore to protect his secret, under one condition: He wanted to be Cole's designated ler.
Cole is a lee-leaning switch
Kai is a ler learning to be a switch
Kai and Cole will discretely plan for days when they can have the whole monastery to themselves so they can arrange tickle sessions in secret. Sometimes it'll be something simple like tickle fights and Netflix. But for most of their sessions, Cole will elaborately gather things like feathers, brushes, and baby oil to "play with".
Sometimes Kai will record a video of their sessions, either on a video camera or one of their phones.
When Kai is the ler, he will taunt Cole and mess with his head a little bit to get him giggling before he even starts tickling. He especially likes to trick him into thinking he's about to tickle one spot before striking somewhere completely different.
When it's Cole's turn to be the ler, he will tease and tease and tease until Kai's face matches his gi, before and during the tickling.
As a lee, Cole likes to act like a brat to provoke Kai into tickling him. If they're in the middle of a session, Cole will egg him on like, "You call that tickling? I thought it was just a draft!" or "Is that all you've got!?"
When it's Kai's turn to be the lee, he acts nonchalant like he doesn't believe in his own ticklishness. But as soon as Cole finds That One Spot tickled in That Particular Way, Kai's desperately wriggling and trying to dodge the tickles.
Cole's laughter ranges between a muffled rumbling giggle and a boisterous belly-laugh with an occasional snort.
Kai wheezes if he laughs hard enough and Cole finds his laugh contagious!
Cole gets really cuddly after being tickled, so aftercare consists of a lot of cuddling and snacks.
Kai gets drowsy if he's been tickled intensely enough, and Cole's cuddling afterward only ensures him a nap.
Kai will discretely tease Cole in their DMs and get him into a lee mood throughout the day/week. Sometimes he'll refer to a post from Cole's tumblr, sometimes he'll just send teasy messages that are basically tickle threats.
No, none of the others know about any of this.
