oh my yaoi that are on two sides of the same coined, doomed by the narrative but fate draws them close regardless. been a big fan of how their relationship transcends that of platonic or romantic, similar to orv and link click. (which is also why i love sfawt/dawtde so much, their relationship just feels so pure).

What we're just left with is a gaping hole of "what ifs" and "could've beens" because they never had time. Their circumstances forced them to meet, and as much as they were meant to meet, they were meant to part. And it just, makes me so ill.

I also agree that they make me so incredibly ill. the fact that avery would risk the world for derek, and derek would risk themselves for the world and for avery, just hits a spot in my heart because they truly were meant to meet each other.

rlly went with a more symbolic approach to this piece(?). i wanted it to be abt avery cherishing the words that derek left behind, almost desperately holding onto the remaining fragments of him.

something about how avery said he was sorry for forgetting in the church stuck to me.

in the art, avery is not only hugging/holding onto derek but also himself, who he is, to never forget derek and to never forget the person he is now. :)
