oh fuck nearly forgot happy 7th birthday the sky may be, still one of my favorite things ive ever done even if its just 32 minutes. Yes, it is named after the silly surreal doom WAD. Yes the last few songs are a reference to the NES godzilla creepypasta (I really want a RED tattoo). Yes the lyrics are a reference to SW. Yes I was broke and had disordered eating while writing the record. Still has some of my favorite cut ups. Yes, that is a cheap detuned ukulele in the end song, not a koto or zither (treading on the tboys terf). Still can't find the stems. I still go back and listen to and try to figure out what the fuck i was doing (the answer: using dex for the first time, prior to my diagnosis of ADHD). God I had a LOT more energy in my 20s when i did this record despite being an active danger to myself. I feel like im going to spend the rest of my life trying to recapture whatever I was doing here. However I also wonder if having that much energy was ever really a good thing. But yeah, this record was basically like ...hey you know how edgy noise dudes (who I assume are occasionally johns) make records about sex workers? this is kinda like what if the sex worker herself made a noise record. Went right over the heads of civs, as usual. Happy 7th belated bday my wretched child.
