Grace/Rocky rp plot idea(or Y’know Grace/rocky/adrian!)
Au where humans are sort of a religious concept on Eridani, old Eridian tales of tall, squishy, upsetting leaky beings meeting with the Eridians of old back during the early days of the space elevator’s construction. Over time the stories developed into mythology, and eventually they developed into a variety of religions with various beliefs about the creatures. Of course with any religion, comes people who don’t believe, people who’d rather stick to the science and facts of the world rather than squishy blobs from outer space. And Rocky considered himself one of these, until he encountered a human aboard a ship called the Hail Mary.
And before he knows it, Rocky is bringing a human, essentially a god, home to his people. And he has no idea how it’s going to go.

I only rp with people 18+ with their account stating as such, I prefer to rp over discord, and I’m semi-lit(although I do love an rp with a paragraph average response as well, it’s easier to keep up with during work)! Adding onto this with the reversal of this concept. Since the more I’ve thought about it, the more I’ve realized I’ve got a whole different set up in mind. Atp I might as well write a fic lol….maybe. Anyways! Into the plot. Sorry it gets a bit wonk near the end. I still want it open ended enough to rp with lol.
Eridians have long since appeared in cave paintings, pottery, and stories on Earth. Their unique abilities with a strange not-quite metal, visiting in large angular ships. Over time, religions formed around the creatures with the not-quite spider bodies, and over time those religions faded more into a passing conversation you’d have in your Ancient Civilizations class in High School. However this gave rise to a different kind of belief in these supposed gods, the belief that these creatures were all mighty stayed intact for the believers that remained, others saw them more as a conspiracy theory to prove. Events throughout more “modern” history would be attributed to the Eridians, things like the 1561 Neuremberg Celestial Battle, the 1566 Celestial Phenomenon over Basel, The Black Knight Satellite, all sorts of things. If you asked Ryland Grace, it was just that a conspiracy theory to explain mostly scientifically explainable(or just flat out false) events.
So when a five legged rock thing crash lands in his backyard, imagine his surprise. He’d never even considered the potential for these creatures to be aliens(embarrassing given that potential alien life is his main area of study). And this alien life form has decided that he lives with Grace now, which Grace supposed he was cool with…and now he’s back on a space ship to this guy’s planet.
