i imagine this as aiden
he's in a room with the group and they're all just doing their own things and crack baby starts playing in his airpods and he just genuinely locks in and hits the thousand yard stare

i miss the banners so here are a few headcanons i came up with for this family 💔 (im probably going to post these on the tok at some point so look out for these on there)
1. mike and emma used to take ashlyn out to little events the town held when she was younger and in every single picture emma took, ashlyn had a straight face (her mom absolutely loves those pictures)
2. emma prints out SO many of ashlyns ballet pictures and just puts them everywhere around the house
3. they are the type of family that uses their dining table for everything BUT eating dinner (family dinners happen on the couch while watching action movies together)
4. mike gets a little teary eyed watching his daughter dance on stage because he thinks of the times when ashlyn was little and would just stand in the middle the stage and stare at everyone in the crowd with her eyes wide like a bug
5. they all judge people in public together.
6. grocery store trips turn into mike seeing old friend and having about a 30 minute catch up conversation with said friend in the chip isle ending in ashlyn and emma finishing the shopping without him
7. ashlyn is the daughter that holds the flashlight and mike is the type of dad that gets ticked off when she shines it in the wrong area
8. if ashlyn ever got a job at a restaurant, mike and emma would go on a date to her place of employment every saturday night and make sure ashlyn is their server so they could have the satisfaction of giving her a hard time (they like to act like snobby people just to annoy her but they know it gives her a good laugh after her long shift)
9. emma wakes ashlyn up gently (rubbing her back, softly talking to her), mike wakes her up rough (flickering her light on and off, ripping the blanket off her, and spilling water on her)
