anybody remember that interview where they said that they were gonna make lestat an orchestra conductor instead? i really wish they'd done that and i'm not joking

#sam is a very good singer it's not his fault that the music as the story telling medium doesnt work #i think orchestral music being used to help tell the story would've been so cool #and it would've given rolin no choice but to focus on what the majority of the second book is about (lestat's past)#because i think music-as-story-telling-medium is to blame for a lot of what went wrong this season #they clearly thought lestat's music was enough on its own but it very much wasn't #and i'm gonna argue that louis should've been in this season about as much as he's around in the second book maybe a bit more #like have him be in the first and last episodes and go to a few of lestat's shows and maybe lestat could revisit the memory of meeting him #and then bring him back in full swing for QOTD #because they clearly didn't know what to do with him and what little i think they shouldve kept from his arc this season #could've been done in a QOTD season easily #silas.txt #iwtv
