My Happy Place

My house is over after an ice storm that hit Rio de Janeiro last Friday (26th, oct). A friend posted here for me before, but only now I got the chance to go on a computer to write down what’s going on.

None of us are injured, but we are sleeping at a neighbors house untill we can get our house back. But it can’t be for too long because we know we are bothering.

The storm was so strong that the rotten roofing went down with it. A bunch of houses in my neighborhood are just like mine, if not worse.

We need to hire a construction worker to rebuild just the roof so we can go back to our house and from there we sort out the rest. One of them charged 3800 reais, which is too expensive for a 45m² roof to build, so we searched for another one who charged 2000.

I have already raised 600 reais with some donations I’ve got, but there’s still a long way to go. We don’t have any other income, and any $1 is helping right now.

I beg you to donate any $1 you have lying around so we can raise all this money. I literally mean every penny will help us right now. We have nowhere else to go.

I don’t think I made it very clear but last month I was sexually assaulted by someone who I thought was my friend (I don’t want to talk about it don’t ask), and it’s… really fucked with my head. 

Had I known this a month ago I would have been able to get away.
