Nothing beats starting into Monday with a freshly organised desk. My anxiety finally calmed down enough over the weekend so I could clean the desk and the big shelf next to it. I sorted through an ungodly amount of paperwork, but it was definitely worth it. Now onwards with fresh study motivation!

Alright Monday here I come. I decided to spend this morning on a date with my bf Zotero. I'm going to go through some articles that are parked in there that I haven't had the time/energy to have a proper look at yet.

This will be a good distraction from waiting to hear back from all the archives I wrote to last week. I need footage from them for the performance analysis part of my thesis.

Today's pet peeve: people who write "we disagree/think/etc" in their dissertations when the dissertation was written by one single person. It doesn't give their argument any more weight, plus personal opinions have no place in a dissertation.

So today I start screaming into the void! I want to try and make this a more or less regular study journal, to help keep me on track when it comes to my research.

Today I look into different systems of performance analysis for my PhD thesis. I need a system that works for the operas I chose to write about, but so far, I'm not 100% happy with the existing systems that I've found. So the plan is to play around a bit with ideas and maybe create my own system (wild, I know!).
