I had a dream last night that I lived in a little Baba Yaga house with cat feet. It moved around in the woods very quietly and could climb trees, and when I made a fire inside and the house felt cosy, it would knead the ground contentedly. With the window open you could hear a soft crunchy sound as it clawed at dead leaves, and the motion of pushing in and out with its paws made the house rock gently from side to side and it was putting me to sleep, in my dream.

my english prof said today that “literature lets you stare at people” and i loved that….

if mangoes didn’t have the stone in the middle, humanity would reach a new level of hedonism. we could just eat thru the whole thing without having to think. we’d permanently regress to a primal state. the seed grounds us, makes us careful when we eat. this defines us. fuck i wish i had a mango
