The writer of Pokemon, Takeshi Shudo, passed away at 4:03 AM JST on October 29th at the age of 61.

“MSN Japan reports that Takeshi Shudō, former head writer of the Pokémon anime, collapsed at Nara railway station’s smoking area around 6:00am on Thursday, October 28th. Upon being discovered by a passerby, he was rushed to the hospital and is undergoing surgery. It was soon determined at the hospital’s emergency care center that Shudō had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage in his head. ” -bulbanews

**Edit: Well “sorry” to those who are complaining he isn’t the original creator. He did however “create” the first three movies and wrote the whole plot (which we all grew up with) … so he is technically one of the creators of Pokemon. HAVE YOU NOTICED THAT WITHOUT HIS STORY PLOT IN THE BEGINNING(and first 3 movies), NOTHING ABOUT POKEMON WILL EXIST NOW? So yea, he’s still a “creator.” I am not that big of a pokemon fan to know that. It just so happens the website I read led me to that false information… (I should have been more careful though) I just really like the show and stuff. Ooh boy, here we go. Time for some controversy talk.

So people on tumblr are reporting artists for drawing nsfw art of Frisk as an adult and getting their art taken down.

…Why?

Like, I understand the concept of seeing something that unsettles you? I personally am a tad unsettled by seeing it as well since I don’t view Frisk in any sort of sexual manner. Just like how I don’t view Toriel in any sexual manner.

But uhm. Undertale isn’t the first fandom to age up children in porn?

Like wow holy wow, pretty much ANY fandom has done this and it wasn’t this giant circle jerk of controversy.

I really don’t understand this need to control others doing things you don’t like over the internet. What in the living fuck is stopping you from just blocking it and moving on or ignoring it. What part of sharing your disgust and attacking an artist’s livelihood is so goddamn important?

Like, consider it a miracle that the majority of established artists in the community even /bother/ to age up Frisk, because I guarantee you, it’s not like that with other fandoms.

This game has done ALOT for everyone, and it’s a powerful goddamn game and yes I understand wanting to keep it ‘sacred’, but this is reality, and you have to deal with your own personal “floweys” in regards to fandom.

Don’t become a “flowey”, friends.

If you see LEGITIMATE pedophilia? And here’s a quick definition:

that would be the time to SILENTLY without getting all UP AND ARMS about it, just report them ON YOUR OWN and be on your merry way.

Aging up a character is not a fucking crime, and it never will be. 

Frisk and Asriel and precious little cinnastix and I get not wanting to see that, but there is ZERO grounds for the sort of behavior I’ve been seeing lately.

TL;DR

Art in which Frisk [or any UT char] is drawn as a consenting adult is NOT pedophilia.

Art in which Frisk [or any UT char] is drawn as a non-consenting child IS pedophilia. and should be handled in a passive manner, without attacking the artist or shaming/calling them out.

This is SUPER ENTRY LEVEL shit.

Unfortunately, I don’t expect this post to stop it at all, and there’s lots of shit that the UT fandom is doing to become exactly what Toby feared, and it’s really a goddamn shame.

People are attacking artists, sending death threats, telling youtubers like PewdiePie/Mark not to play the game, people are shoving words into Toby’s mouth… and just in general, becoming REALLY fucking nasty over protecting something dear to them.

Let me clue you in on a thing: You don’t have to protect it. 

People enjoy the game for different reasons and they should be allowed to do so. 

The harassment needs to stop. The reports need to end. Come to me and harass /me/ if you have to get it out of your system. I am made of fucking steel. But I seriously wish you don’t /have/ to.

The issue with the internet is that it’s literally impossible to coagulate all opinions and thoughts into one. No matter what you say or do on the net, SOMEONE WILL disagree. 

The happy medium that needs to be reached is that you have to agree to disagree and just let people have their opinions without breaking the law/harassing them.

Please, I’m literally begging.   You’re allowed to be disgusted/dislike things, but…

Do NOT fucking attack people. 

Use some MERCY. or ACT in a passive manner.

WALK AWAY. *SPARE. *FLEE.

Dear friends, I am here in the hopes to bring attention to a friend and follower of mine, who is 26 years old and a transmale currently living in Redford, Michigan. For many years he has lived under the roof of abusive roommates, those who take everything from him and keep him in poor living conditions. Because of his mental disability, he is unable to properly remove himself out of the situation alone. I’ve heard what goes on with my daily interactions with him and I cannot stand for the things that they do to him any longer. Unfortunately, I am a college student and I do not have the steady enough income, but I want to be able to provide for him the funds needed for his relocation. I want him to finally be in a safe-space for trans-person to live with positive people and more importantly to keep him happy.
