FRIDAY REMINDER
‣ Recite Surah al Kahf
‣ Send blessings upon the beloved Prophet ﷺ
‣ Perform Ghusl.
‣ Dress well and apply perfume.
‣ Proceed to the mosque early.
‣ Sit closer to the Imam. Listen attentively to the Friday sermon.
‣ Make du'a in the last hour (i.e., after Asr, remember the oppressed Ummah in your supplications)
You are capable of leaving any sin for the sake of Allah no matter how beautiful it may seem, or how long you have been attached to it, you can walk away from it. Nothing stands between you and abandoning that sin except sincere tawbah, honesty with Allah, and a firm determination to change.
“And whoever fears Allah – He will make for him a way out.” (65:2)
One of the lessons in Surah Yusuf is how a parent's good upbringing leaves a mark on a child, even if that child loses their way later on.
When the brothers claimed Yusuf was eaten by a wolf, they brought his shirt stained with animal blood to their father. But they forgot to tear it, which instantly gave away their lie.
They could have ripped the shirt, roughed themselves up, but deceiving people was never a skill they properly developed because their own father was a prophet; someone who literally can't lie.
It shaped them so deeply that even in betrayal, they didn’t know how to actually tell a lie convincingly.
Good upbringing doesn’t guarantee a child never makes a mistake, but sometimes it leaves fingerprints even on the mistakes themselves.

.
And be patient, and your patience will not be, but by the help of Allah. [16:127]
What were the things you were taught to make dua for as a child ??
(Need some perspective for a composition)
Shaykh ibn Uthaymeen said:
If removing something harmful from the street is charitable, then throwing something harmful on the street is evil [sinful]. This [sinful act] includes those who throw their garbage in the middle of the street!

Some days you feel close to Allah, and other days you feel distant, but both are part of the journey of faith. What matters is not perfection, but persistence. Even when your heart feels heavy or distracted, don’t stop turning back to Him. A small act of worship done with sincerity can carry more weight than you realize. Allah sees what others don’t: the quiet effort, the struggle to stay consistent, the moments you try again after slipping. So even if today is not your best day, let it still be a day where you don’t abandon Him. Keep going, even if it’s slow. He never turns away a heart that returns to Him. 🤍
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“Do not carry the worries of this life, because this is for Allāh.
And do not carry the worries of sustenance, because it is from Allāh.
And do not carry anxiety for the future, because it is in the Hands of Allāh.
Carry one thing: pleasing Allāh.
Because if you please Him,
He pleases you, fulfils you, and enriches you.”

Al-'Ankabut - Verse 30
قَالَ رَبِّ انصُرْنِي عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْمُفْسِدِينَ
Lot prayed, “My Lord! Help me against the people of corruption.”

Holding or hoarding
I have 23 unread books in my physical tbr.Maybe a couple more. The number is even bigger for the books I’ve not finished. Some I picked up while I was bored , most I bought very intentionally but never got around reading . Some of them I read every once in a while. A chapter or a page here and there. It’s been months since I’ve finished a book.I really want to.
This morning I found myself looking for facemasks then switching my search to sunscreens and then I remembered to restock the shampoo and oh also how about try this new cleanser. Ended up adding everything to the cart.I realised it was pointless.
I sat on my study desk after a good 15 min session my mind is flooded with everything I need to get done tomorrow and the following week and two months that are yet to come.I felt anxiety rush into my soul.
And then I am reminded of this one friend who isn’t in contact anymore. And then a series of people. I tried shutting those voices.
While listening to this podcast I noted another book recommendation to my ever piling list. I had this urge to just add it in the cart. It wasn’t like my life depended on it.
Recently,a friend of mine gave me a key chain. I kept the packaging safe. In the box I’ve kept all the artefact of my past. Which honestly feels like past life on some days and a tale of yesterday on other days. I fear if one day that’s all I’ll have of them. Which isn’t completely irrational
The point is I am unable to answer for myself how to empty my heart of the things I hoard longer than I should. It’s becoming unconventionally morbid.

Okay quickly.
Imagine . The vastness of this universe and then zoom in to this huge galaxy of ours which is again a fraction of a fraction of this vastness. Now zoom into our solar system that’s one of the millions existing amongst discovered and undiscovered. Zoom a little more to our planet Earth. And then zoom again - there’s this city and in this city there’s this house and in this house is a person . Allah knows that person . Allah cares enough for that person so much so that even his tiniest whispered dua reaches Him swt and He makes sure to answer it in ways that is again the absolute best for this person. Allah listens to this person when the world fails them. Allah calls them back when they get surrounded and pulled away. Allah is generous and caring and loving enoughhhh to do all that and more . For someone who’s such a small part of this massive universes.
That person is you and I . I just saw this clip and it got me thinking. Allah LITERALLY KNOWS ME BY MY NAME . How insignificant I am in this huge world and yet He swt provides for me ,looks after me every single moment . He listens to my duaaass??? My???? He gives me everything I need to survive and that doesn’t stop Him from giving me morrreeeeeee. Despite of the slips HE DOESN’T WITHHOLD HIS MERCYYYYYY .Instead He listens to silly stupid duas and wishes and even those whispers that I dismiss and HE ANSWERS THEM! Like ALLAH TA’ALA MEEEE????? Meeeeeeee???????
