Sometimes I avoid looking at my father for too long because I’m afraid I’ll finally see the weight he’s been carrying all along the storms he carried so i could grow under clear sky and the hardest part of growing up isn’t realizing your parents are not perfect it’s realizing how much they sacrificed while trying to protect you.

Living in a different country, far away from them, made me realize something I should have understood much earlier. Life is unpredictable. We spend so much time chasing things, only to discover that the people we love are the real blessing all along.

Baba, I love you more than anything in this world. As long as you are healthy, happy, and at peace, I feel like I have everything I need.

My beloved parents, you are the greatest gift Allah has ever given me. I ask Allah to never let me disappoint you, neither in this dunya nor in the akhirah.

I pray that on the Day of Judgment, Allah does not question you for my shortcomings, and that He rewards you abundantly for every sacrifice you made for me.

May every tear you wiped, every prayer you made, and every sacrifice you endured for me be a source of mercy and light for you in this life and the next. Ameen.

You were, and always will be, the best parents a daughter could ask for.

And Ya Allah, forgive me for every moment I was ungrateful for this blessing. Protect my parents, grant them peace, good health, and a long life filled with Your mercy. Ameen.
