to anyone in the areas impacted by the wildfire smoke, my #1 biggest piece of advice as someone whos been dealing with wildfire smoke in the NW united states for years, is build yourself a Corsi-Rosenthal Cube
they perform as well as expensive HEPA air cleaners, and are comparatively VERY inexpensive. all you need is a box fan, 4 air filters, a piece of cardboard, and some duct tape!!!!
i think it took us maybe a half hour to put ours together, if that, and we replace the filters every 3 months. it's really made a HUGE difference, both when the air quality is bad, but also with our allergies

my biggest pet peeve with the Horizon games, which I overwhelmingly recommend and love very much, is that Aloy doesn't have more body hair.
that girl should have hairy pits, arms, and legs. she has a BUSH and the cutest happy trail down her tummy, and you can't convince me otherwise.
Have only played a bit of the first one but the idea that Aloy or any of the Nora would give a single shit about shaving is preposterous and she absolutely should have more body hair.
The only culture remaining in the world of Horizon that I think would give 2 liquid shits about body hair would be the Carja, and I think even if they managed to convince her to try whatever process they might have once, I do not believe she would do it again, let alone take the time and energy to do it regularly on her whole body while *gestures wildly at Ted Faro* everything is happening.
I also feel like the Banuk and the Tanakth in the second game (especially Sky Clan) would likely find hairlessless to genuinely be a health hazard living in the cold environs. Outlander, where is your Gaia-Given Fur?!?!
Hell, I think the only reason she keeps the long hair is because caring for it is her one remaining connection to Rost.
