then they mention him being a forensic scientist, and in here the Flash has blue eyes, okay so this is Barry lol. had to doodle it out with my Sonic Fan Wally headcanon. (also in my actual AU, Barry look a bit more like this to fit in-universe with 03)

i was rewatching the "Date with Destiny" episode and seeing Robin in a suit for a prom against his will, i was wondering how KF would attend one while maintaining his secret identity sooo masquerade-themed party? Jinx in her HIVE dance dress while i'm at it, which i also drew once before haha.

okay lesson one: don't ever give me any choice-based options because apparently i'm severely indecisive; I can't even pick decisions for my ships. listen, it genuinely really depends on the scenario any of these checkmarks can work, okay—there are, like, multiple outcomes in my head and none of them are the true "canon," even in my own headcanon— i may have a problem

also lots of details like height and birthday are unspecified because... i like to keep it vague? FDKJJKDF

that aside, the charts especially in regard to a few of Kid Flash's may seem a little odd to some, especially knowing the common headcanon in the ship that's been around for years, but this is my personal take on them, haha, so let me break two of the striking ones down.

an unpopular opinion to start: I'm personally not very big into this "stalker-ish Kid Flash" thing that's apparently been a main headcanon for actual decades now, and yes, i know there are good fics i like that reframed it as in he's unaware he's being weird about it BUT it just feels... extreme? its giving Edward from Twilight in a side-eye way, this is just how i personally perceive it.

see whatever the ship is, no matter how cracked, i'm very canon-driven based on the series they're in; i go by the book. i watch the two episodes they're in and read the TT03 spin-off comic over and over, and aside from a few brief moments from the original Lightspeed episode, i'm not sure where that level of intensity (?) in the interpretation came from, maybe its because he seems to give this impression of always being there unexpectedly (he could just be mid-patrolling; he has superspeed.) or its because he can phase through walls and go through HIVE's rooms and thus connecting the two infos? or maybe a reference to non-TT03 media? something to fill the blanks since he's not fleshed out much in debut? i don't know. even as a joke i personally don't find it that funny.

SO with all that said, my personal headcanon in my own TT03 canon divergence AU is that Kid Flash tailed the HIVE for their suspicious activities mid-patrol and found himself intrigued and curious about Jinx after noticing her dynamic with other HIVE members. yes, he did flirt with her early on and he obviously really liked her ever since the start, but he didn't really LOVE her y'know?? at least not yet. to me, liking, finding someone pretty or hot, and being in love are different, as someone who's on the ace spectrum.

so i prefer that, despite started dating at certain point, there's still a gradual shift from just [casual, unserious, playful teasing and flirting behind the mask but still wanting the best for her] to [becoming serious, genuinely being protective of her than one would expect, perhaps yearning, wanting to be with her not just as vigilantes but as civies too, real name and all, or would even accept Jinx leaving Titans and even fighting crimes altogether one day if she ever wants to and it wouldn't change how he feels about her.]

despite the cockiness, ego, and bravado—heck, he's quite stubborn and nosy, as per the "Lightspeed" episode, where he kept arguing with Jinx about her path of choice—he's genuinely someone who cares, is emotionally intelligent, and is a good judge of character. so in how i'd frame his feelings for her, that realization dawning of being in love grows bigger the longer he's around her. very demicoded, I know i can't help it.

Kid Flash in the "doesn't get jealous" part is based on his reaction to Kid Kold's history with Jinx from issue #53, he just calmly asked Jinx about knowing Leo beforehand. i think it's a fresh take; i'm personally not very keen on "love triangles" or "rivals" that take themselves too seriously.

but of course, i place him not far down in the "doesn't get jealous" graph because in my headcanon, while he trusts Jinx and feels secure in their relationship, he still feels slightly jealous; however, it's really hard to tell and he doesn't really show it. heck, i headcanon that he doesn't realize it haha.

Jinx's need little explanation i think, characterization is pretty consistent most of the time but i personally really like the idea that she can't really read Kid Flash's true emotions due to his hero persona initially. she doesn't pry into his background, but there are a few times she tried to see what's behind the mask. in which, with cartoon logic, she gets interrupted all the time much to her chagrin. i drew it once here.

and yeah, both are protective of each other. though i like to HC Kid Flash is the more overprotective of the two, haha.

addendum : as for "sensitive to changes to partner" being checked as "Both," that only happens AFTER a certain arc in my Teen Titans : Side B! canon divergence AU haha. early on in their relationship, they had a hard time understanding each other, so i'm mixing both the cartoon and spin-off versions of their characters. for Kid Flash specifically, he was oblivious or specifically didn't think too much of Jinx's turmoil previously (specifically his hero persona around fangirls and such) and perhaps hasn't had that realization of how important Jinx is to him. then, with the help of the Titan Girls and their way of teaching him how to understand girls (whiteboard and all), he learned his lesson and became even more perceptive haha. Jinx also would have this development of understanding Kid Flash more and becoming more openly vulnerable and comfortable around him (and also other Titans) as time goes on.
